Assassinot!

(*Celia’s POV*)

As I rushed towards Viva’s room, I held my sword in a tighter grip than usual. Not because I was nervous, but because before our first night together, we all cut and filed our fingernails. We didn’t want to accidentally hurt each other while trying to be intimate, you know.

Due to that, it kinda hurts to hold my sword. But this really wasn’t the time to complain about such inconveniences. From outside Viva’s room, I could hear the sounds of a struggle.

Because of what happened that one night, Viva had moved to a room further away from ours. I can’t blame her, but man what horrible timing for such a thing to happen…

I tried to open up the door, but it was oddly blocked. Did the assassin block the door? Whatever. I went ahead with the plan of just kicking the door in, which actually worked.

Inside the room was a heavily injured Viva. The assassin was clearly too much for her to handle, and the various actually life-threatening wounds on her body proved that.

Without any delay, I lunged at the assassin with extreme intent to kill her. What was odd, was that she managed to not dodge my strike, but actually block it.

Celia: “Aren’t you a little too skilled to be an assassin?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Viva: “She isn’t an assassin! She is one of my sisters!” She explained before spitting up blood.

Her sister? Ah, then I guess that I shouldn’t kill her. And come to think of it, she kinda looked mind controlled. Similar to how Viva once acted. Damn, that Amora… Using her own children as disposable pawns…

Luckily, I knew of a little trick to deal with mind control magic. No, this is my own knowledge, and Ria totally wasn’t the one to teach me this! Come on, you can trust my words. Have I ever been known to lie? Don’t answer that.

With another lunge, I got close to Viva’s sister. I pretended to try to strike her with my sword, and instead, I placed one of my hands on her head. Doing this rewarded me with a slash down my shoulder, which hurt a decent amount.

But I was also rewarded with the woman no longer being controlled. She looked confused. She truly looked like she had no idea where she even was. It looks like that silly queen used even more strong mind control magic on this child…

Sister Turned Mind Control Assassin: “V-viva!? What happened!?” She yelled before running over to her sister.

Viva was in a bad way. If only someone had some very convenient type of magic that they could use, that would save her. Ah, right. That’s me! Despite the joke, I quickly went over to Viva and used healing magic on her. She lost a lot of blood, but she will definitely live through this.

Viva: “Vani…You did this to me.” She said with a cough.

Vani: “Me?… But, why would I do such a thing?” She asked with a confused expression.

Celia: “Your mother mind controlled you to kill your own sister. What a shitty parent.” I explain with a sigh.

Vani: “Mother did?… Viva, are her words true?” She asked.

Viva: “Yes. Mother did the same to me, but Celia and her group helped me. She wanted me to not only get myself killed, but to also take Celia out with me.” She explained with an angry tone and expression.

Vani: “She wanted you dead? But… aren’t you being held captive by them?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Viva: “Vani, do I truly look like I am being held captive? I am wearing high-quality clothes that not even our mother wears, all while living in this nice room rent-free. In fact, rather than a captive, they’re keeping me safe.” She answered.

Yona: “You’re no prisoner, that’s for sure. Celia, I’ll keep them safe. Go find that little ghost girl of yours.” She suggested.

When the heck did you show up, Yona? Ah, Ria is awake now. She must have gone to get both Solia and her. And Ria’s nod proves my theory. With a nod of my own, I set off to Mena’s room.

On the way out, I saw what had blocked the door. It was a chair. Looking back, the window was busted open. Ah, so maybe Viva blocked the door so that no one could walk in on her touching herself? Funny explanation, even more funny, when I realize that I will never be able to ask her the truth.

Despite being super perverts, all the maids are Ria’s underlings. And frankly, those maids are stronger than even me. So I do not have to worry about them at all. Actually, I should be worrying about the assassins…

The males will surely be killed, but any of the females will be made into their new love slaves… Eh, serves them right for trying to hurt my family! Or some other oddly specific justification for slavery!…

Viva could somewhat hold her own against her sister, but Mena will have no chance at all. She could barely even use her own body not a few hours ago, how the hell could she fight? With that knowledge, I super rushed over to Mena’s room.

The door wasn’t locked, so I was able to go in right away. What I saw was an interesting sight. Mena was huddled in her blanket on her bed. Around the room were eight male assassins. They were all dead, and in fact, their bodies were slashed to pieces.

How could she have killed them? My main guess is that she retained some of her powers as a wraith, which was why she was able to kill them. Mena was clearly in shock, so I carefully approached her.

I assured her that I wouldn’t hurt her at all, and then I gave her a hug. She then cried into my chest for a few minutes. When she finished, she looked more calm, but she was still clearly upset. As was her right.

During this, Ria had come in the room, and dealt with the blood, gore, and bodies for us. Consoling someone in a place ridden with gore and death, isn’t a good idea, after all. She also left the room to give Mena and I some space.

Celia: “Mena, are you okay?” I ask while I pat her head.

Mena: “I… I killed them all…” She said with a sad tone.

Celia: “It’s fine, they were assassins here to kill us. You did a good job in killing them and also protecting yourself. I am very proud of you, Mena.” I say with a warm tone.

Mena: “Really? But… I am a monster!” She exclaimed.

Celia: “You’re not a monster, Mena. I assume that you kept some of your powers from when you were a wraith.” I explain as I rub her back.

Mena: “So I’m not a monster? That’s good.” She said with a relieved tone and expression.

Celia: “Hey, Mena? You said that you wanted to repay me, right?” I ask.

Mena: “Yes, of course! You’ve given me a second chance at life, after all.” She replied with a serious tone.

Celia: “Alright then, I might be a little young, but how about you become my daughter?” I propose.

Mena: “Your daughter? I’ve never had real parents before…” She replied with a thinking pose.

Celia: “And I would be happy to be your first.” I say with a smile.

Mena: “Then… Can I call you mom?” She asked with an unsure tone.

Celia: “Of course.” I reply with a nod.

Mena then spent the next few minutes calling me “mom” over and over again. What luck… How do I end up finding broken people just like I was? Whatever. She clearly needed a motherly figure in her life, and I am more than happy to give her the chance to have something like that.

Now then… How should I bring up my new daughter to my wives? They won’t think that I am cheating on them, right? Fuck… I have to explain it to them very tactfully.

And by that, I mean have Mena there to explain that SHE is my new daughter. Man, I haven’t even been her parent for more than a few minutes, and I am already shielding myself behind her…
