Chapter 27: Is it a sin to Fight God, Even in Self-defense?

(*Celia’s POV*)

With a sigh, I pushed Yestila, or rather, God, into a far away empty place. It was clear that I did have to fight her, even if I don’t want to. She has forced my hand. Will this count as a sin?…

Yestila: “You! Why must you betray us!?” She exclaimed.

Celia: “Listen here! I don’t have any fucking reason to stay and help you out with this problem at all! I could easily just take my mother and my new daughter, and just leave. If you’re going to keep fucking attacking me, then I will.” I say with an angry tone before punching her in the stomach.

Well, that is most certainly a sin that I just committed… Eh, does it matter? I won’t ever die, after all. Does that mean that I am now completely free to sin as I please? I mean, do I sin that much, anyway?…

Yestila: “You’re working with her, I know it! Each time you’ve “Saved” someone under her control, you’ve come back completely unscathed and clean!” She exclaimed after spitting up some blood.

Celia: “I have cleaning and healing magic! Your evidence that I’ve betrayed you is lacking at best.” I reply with my arms crossed.

As God will be the one to have to fix the various empty landscapes that I’ve destroyed, I cared not about being careful. Besides, I was super pissed off at this woman. Even me, a Supreme Goddess of Lesbian Love, has her limits.

*Hours Later.*

After fighting with her for a few hours, I got so damn bored. Like with Alisa, this fight wasn’t any fun at all. Did I somehow lose my battle junkie side after evolving? Come to think of it, when was the last time I’ve had fun in a fight?…

Celia: “Are you done, God?” I ask with a sigh.

Yestila: “No!” She exclaimed.

Celia: “Alright. Then my family and I will be leaving.” I reply with a shrug.

Before I could fly away, Yestila stabbed herself with a dagger. I did fight her, but I didn’t really injure her much at all. This self-inflicted wound is far worse than anything I’ve done to her. Was this the Devil trying to take back control?

Yestila: “Celia! I beg of you to stay and help us! You’re our only hope…” She pleaded.

Celia: “It sure doesn’t feel that way.” I reply.

Yestila: “Celia… God is right, you’re working with that woman. But that is fine, I understand what she wants to do.” She replied.

Celia: “I am not directly working with her, no. I just agreed to deal with the people she controlled, but let her give up control instead of me taking her control away from them. That way, she won’t lose any power.” I explain.

Yestila: “That’s all? Ah, God is sleeping now, so you don’t have to worry about her overhearing us.” She replied with a curious tone.

Celia: “That’s good, but that is all that we’re cooperating on. Heaven is in a bad position because God refuses to take care of it. And, despite me not being directly involved, I would like it to be taken care of again.” I say with a serious tone.

Yestila: “God doesn’t take betrayal lightly, but you haven’t betrayed us. I will convince her of this. Please, just continue to save those people.” She pleaded.

Celia: “And why should I? Yeah, I said that I want to help, but both you two and that woman have been keeping me in the dark. I feel as if I am just a puppet on a string. This feeling… well, it doesn’t feel too good at all.” I reply with an annoyed tone.

Shouldn’t I want to help any woman I come across? Sure, but this is different. This is a grand event that will have cascading effects for many years to come. And they want me to help them out, while withholding most of the information from me.

Yestila: “Celia…” I cut her words off.

Celia: “Nope. No pleading will work this time. I am going to go spend time with my new daughter, and probably my mother. When you have your shit together, and are willing to actually explain things to me, then come see me.” I reply before flying off.

Yestila didn’t follow me, which is good. Their conflict is kinda stupid, and it feels as if it could be easily solved. All that they would have to do is talk to each other. Frankly, God is mad about what that AI woman did, but it seems that the Devil isn’t.

If I was stupid, I wouldn’t easily have been able to guess that the AI woman and the Devil are in on the plan. I don’t know that for a fact, but it sure as hell seems like it. This is what I thought about while flying to my hotel.

Alisa: “Mom!” She said with a happy tone before jumping onto me and taking me into a hug.

Celia: “Hello, Alisa. Have you gotten better lately?” I ask while rubbing her head.

Alisa: “Hm… somewhat? At the very least, I don’t want to die anymore.” She answered with an unsure tone.

Amelie: “Alisa has some mental hurdles that she needs to get over, but it isn’t anything that we can’t help with.” She said with a laugh.

Celia: “Well, that’s good. How goes your work, Amelie?” I ask with a curious tone.

Amelie: “Something is fishy about it, so I stopped.” She said with a shrug.

Damn… If even Amelie figured this out, then have I just been willingly blind this entire time? No, I am not saying that Amelie is stupid. I am just saying that it is a fact that she usually just goes with the flow. That is, unless it is something that interests her.

Celia: “Yeah, it is fishy. Do you two want to go out to see a movie?” I suggest.

Alisa: “What’s a movie?” She asked with a head tilt.

Celia: “…”

Amelie: “…”

Has she never been to a modern dimension before? Heaven should have such things as well… Does that mean that she hasn’t explored this place at all? Well, that makes sense. Despite everything being free for us, it’s not like it is easy to ask to get things for free.

And if you think that I accepted this room for free, you’d be wrong. I gave them some Orichalcum Celestium as payment. They can’t use it as currency here, but they can still melt and sell the metal for Credits. Credits are what they use here in Heaven. Their official name is Heaven Points, but everyone just calls them Credits like in a sci-fi world.

I talked to Amelie some more, and we came to the decision to not help either of them out until they explain everything to us. It truly feels similar to those higher beings, who used to play around with my life as if I was some puppet…
