IllyasArt Hello! This is my latest novel! Unlike my other novels, this one isn't finished yet. The first volume is finished, though. And you can buy it on Amazon here. If you would be so kind, you can also get the first volume(and anything else I've made.) on my Patreon for donating $10 or over that, here. If you wish for updates, the $10 and over tiers will give you access to chapters when I actually finish them. (Maybe one a day? Idk, as I will be mainly working on other novels as well. But, there will at least be one new chapter every few days.)

Chapter 40: Shocking Enrollment.

*Celia’s POV*

A second serving wasn’t enough to fill up my stomach… I guess that almost dying, really makes you hungry. Only by my third serving did I finally max out my Hunger Stat. Something that Amelie found to be quite funny…

Celia: “I’ve just realized something…” I say with a nervous tone.

Amelie: “Oh? Did you figure out that you’re a hungry little girl?” She said with a teasing tone.

Celia: “We used the demon language, and assuming that someone could hear through your barrier, couldn’t someone figure out what we said? From what I’ve heard, this kingdom has many different races living in it.” I ask with a thinking pose.

Amelie: “That shouldn’t be a problem, as you weren’t speaking the common demon tongue, but a special branch of it. No. I will not explain anything about it to you at all.” She answered.

Celia: “Because it’s funny?” I say with a sigh.

Amelie: “Ah, you’re getting to know me so well!” She said with a happy laugh.

Celia: “…”

Once again with a pout, I followed her out of her extremely nice restaurant. I never thought that a witch would be so lively… Even after not coming to this kingdom for so long, many people waved to her as we passed by. Why do I keep meeting such famous people? Those higher beings aren’t fucking with me, right?…

Amelie: “With a full stomach, what do you want to do now?” She asked with one of her hands on her hips.

Celia: “Any suggestions?” I ask.

Amelie: “You don’t strike me as a gambling woman, so why don’t I do something really fun with you?” She said with a tone that sorta scares me…

Celia: “Um…and what would that be exactly?” I say with a nervous tone.

Amelie: “Come on, I’ll show you!” She said with an excited tone, as she grabbed my hand, and dragged me off once more.

Actually, rather than us running, she started to fly. That would be interesting all on its own, but why the heck is she taking us towards the castle!? Oh God… she isn’t going to do what I think she is going to do, right?

*Some Time Later.*

She really did it! Amelie, this crazy ass witch! She just straight up walked us right into the king’s audience chamber, told the king and queen that I was her student, and that they should enroll me in their academy. What’s even crazier, is that they actually agreed! How much sway does this woman even have!?

Currently, I am near a water fountain, just sitting down and trying to process this entire thing… What even would be the point of me attending some stupid academy?

Amelie: “Aw, don’t be like that. Attending the Royal Academy of Tuseoun, will be an amazing experience for you.” She said with a warm tone while rubbing my back.

Celia: “You know, I was a teacher in my past life, I cannot fathom a good reason to go back to school…” I say with a sigh.

Amelie: “Look at it this way, I have validated your existence. No one will question why you’re so powerful when the greatest living witch is your teacher.” She said with a haughty tone.

Celia: “I understand that, and I am grateful to you for it. But why should I attend an academy?” I ask with a confused expression.

Amelie: “For you to get stronger. Even without your particular specialties, there are very strong people in this world. Make connections, strong ones, with people that you can trust.” She said with a serious tone.

Celia: “…”

Amelie: “All of the others like you, they never started with a solid foundation. They always went head first to change the world. You will be different, as such, you will change the world far more than they ever did.” She said with a caring tone.

Celia: “Change the world? But… I do not have a goal like that…” I say with a conflicted tone and expression.

Amelie: “That is fine. Even if you try not to, you will still end up changing the world. Now, you should find yourself a new goal.” She proposed.

Celia: “Goal? I guess my original goal in this life, was just trying to survive…” I say with a thinking pose.

Amelie: “Well, what do you want to do? Here, I’ll block out all eavesdroppers. Tell me what you want in this life, everything you wish for at this exact moment. I will not laugh, or insult you for whatever you say.” She said with a serious, yet motherly tone.

Celia: “I…” I say with a shaky voice.

What do I even want? Not once in this new life have I stopped to think about this… I want a wife, I want to wear cute clothes, I want to spend time with friends, I want parents that don’t see me as a nuisance to get rid of. Yona and Amelie, I haven’t known them long at all, but they have shown me more love and care than my own original parents ever did…

Without even realizing it, I had told Amelie all of this. All while tears were streaming down my face. Did… did I really go so long with all of these bottled up regrets and emotions?

Terrible parents? Apart from me being a teacher, it was like my brain had erased, or at least buried such memories like that… Like I just destroyed a dam, such memories came flooding back to me.

Rather than just leaving America for better pay, I also left because my deadbeat parents would always hound me for money. Even though those two pieces of shit never gave me anything, besides one single meal a day, and patchwork clothes.

How I even finished college with such an upbringing, even I was surprised by it. Such memories aren’t important anymore, I might have tucked those memories away deep in my mind, but I am over them. At least, now I have a second chance at living, after all.

Celia: “Amelie, sorry, and thank you. I didn’t realize that I had bottled up my emotions for so long.” I say with an embarrassed tone and expression.

Amelie: “Don’t worry about it. I am just happy that you were willing to share your wants and emotions with me.” She said with a bright smile, before grabbing my hand once more.

Celia: “Huh? Do you want to go somewhere now?” I ask with a head tilt.

Amelie: “That’s right. Although I cannot help with all of those desires, I am very much capable of taking you to get some nice dresses.” She said with an excited expression.

Without even waiting for my response, she darted off with me in tow, to what I assume will be a place to buy clothes. After running with her for around fifteen minutes, we came to a very nice looking clothes shop. Once again, she takes me to a crazily expensive place…

Once I entered the shop, I was blown away by how nice the clothes looked. Nice would be an understatement, these clothes look EXPENSIVE to all hell… And I thought that my “birth” dress was nice… Come to think of it, Amelie’s clothes look expensive as well. Please do not tell me that she is planning on buying a shit ton of expensive outfits for me, right?…
