Chapter 307

“What’s wrong with those crazy bastards…?” Chae Hyung-Seok muttered in disbelief after getting treated as a hurdle by Siegfried and the NPC.

However, it did not take long for the disbelief to turn into anger.

“Han Tae-Sung… Did that bastard just treat me like a nobody…?”

Chae Hyung-Seok realized that Siegfried had looked down on him just now.

“You fucking insect that couldn’t even look me in the eyes dares to…!”

In the past, Siegfried went by the ID Tae-Sung, and he was the guild master of a small, powerless guild. He couldn’t even dare look at the Genesis Guild. He was nothing but an insect in front of Chae Hyung-Seok, and Siegfried would immediately run away if he as much as heard Chae Hyung-Seok’s name.

However, he had become a completely different person. He even dared to collect money like a loan shark from Chae Hyung-Seok. He had even treated the latter as if he were a hurdle lying on the street.

Crack…!

Chae Hyung-Seok gnashed his teeth until one of them fractured.

“Just wait and see… I’ll destroy everything you have and make you cry tears of blood…!” He clenched his fists and vowed to destroy Siegfried as soon as he resolved his financial crisis after raiding the Raid Dungeon.

“It seems he’s trying to disturb me again, but you won’t be able to this time, moron. When will you build up full resistance? Impossible! Kekeke!”

Chae Hyung-Seok could roughly tell why Siegfried was here, but he was confident that it was impossible for the latter to disturb him like last time.

Why?

Because Siegfried would have to satisfy the minimum requirement to enter the Raid Dungeon to bother him in the first place, and it would take at least a month or two to meet that requirement.

The Raid Dungeon was a top-tier dungeon in the Great Rift, and a person needed at least 350 Dimensional Resistance points to access it. Chae Hyung would have earned the sum he needed and left by the time Siegfried managed to reach 350 points in Dimensional Resistance.

Chae Hyung-Seok walked over to a group of Adventurers leisurely playing cards and said, “Count me in.”

Most high-level Adventurers would usually loiter around the Great Rift while waiting for the Raid Dungeon to open.

‘Pfft! I dare you to try as hard as you can. You will never be able to catch up to me here,’ he leisurely thought as he was dealt his cards.

He was convinced that there was no way Siegfried could enter the Raid Dungeon with him.

Fifteen minutes later…

Whoosh!

Whoooosh!

Chae Hyung-Seok noticed that Siegfried and the NPC came out of the dungeon after clearing it, and the two of them rushed over to the NPC to exchange their fragments for crystals and talismans.

‘They’ve already cleared it?’ He was surprised by Siegfried’s dungeon clear speed.

Whoosh!

Whooooosh!

He was impressed when Siegfried came running out of the dungeon again, but he decided to ignore the latter and just focus on his card game with the other Adventurers.

‘He’s probably clearing some easy dungeon. Just forget about him… Nothing good will come from getting involved with that bastard.’

***

The race between Siegfried and Taycan went on for seven hours.

‘This guy’s too fast. How do I catch up to him when his speed is ridiculous? Damn it!’ Siegfried cursed as he was forced to watch Taycan’s back all the time.

He did not want to admit it, but Taycan was better than him in numerous aspects.

Hunting speed? Running?

Taycan was miles ahead of him. The abilities he had inherited from Thunder God Vajra made him ridiculously powerful as well. He cleared 1.2 to 1.5 dungeons in the same time that it took Siegfried to clear one dungeon.

It was truly an absurd hunting speed.

‘I’m not going to lose! Never!’ Siegfried gritted his teeth and ran even faster.

Ironically, Siegfried wasn’t the only one thinking along the same line.

‘What?! Does he not get tired?’

Taycan was getting sick of Siegfried’s absurd stamina.

‘Argh… I’m dying… I don’t think I can run much longer…!’

He was so exhausted that running was placing a great toll on his body.

“Huff… Huff…”

His breathing grew louder and rougher as he started to feel heavy.

“I-I think I’m going to puke… bleurgh!” He reached the point where he had to suppress his stomach contents from coming out of his mouth. “Ah! I give up! I can’t do this anymore! Ack!”

In the end, Taycan ended up on the ground in front of the dungeon entrance, huffing and puffing.

“Are you giving up? Keke!” Siegfried asked with a smug smirk before asking, “So you lose?”

“S-says who?! I cleared it seven times more than you—bleurgh!”

Taycan finally lost control and started vomiting.

“Really? Then get some rest, I’ll go and clear it eight more times before resting,” Siegfried said with a hint of arrogance.

‘Thank you, Master!’ he bowed to Deus at least a dozen times inwardly.

The only reason he managed to outlast Taycan was thanks to the Powergra Deus had given him. The Powergra had not only increased his sex stamina and libido, but it also increased his Stamina by a whopping 5,000 points.

“I’m going now,” Siegfried said.

“Sure, go, you stubborn bastard…” Taycan grumbled in response.

“Rest well,” Siegfried said before he ran to the dungeon to clear it eight more times and beat Taycan.

Two hours later…

“J-Just one more… one last left…”

Siegfried exchanged the fragments with the NPC and came back to the entrance.

“Hey, why don’t you just give up…?” Taycan coaxed Siegfried while comfortably lying on the ground.

“We’re already tied, so do you really have to go another round?”

“Yeah… I have to…”

“You’re gonna die at this rate.”

“I can do… it…”

“Hiiik!”

Taycan was scared at Siegfried’s tenacity. He was already a cabbage at this point, and it wouldn’t be strange if he collapsed at any moment. In fact, his legs were trembling, and it seemed like they were about to give in.

However, Siegfried didn’t stop.

Flash!

A bright light flashed and dragged him into the dungeon.

Forty minutes later…

Thud!

The dungeon spat him out, and he fell to the ground.

[Siegfried van Proa]

[HP: ??????????]

[Mana: ??????????]

[Stamina: ??????????]

He forced himself to go another round just to beat Taycan. As a result, his HP, Mana, and Stamina were almost at zero. In other words, he was totally incapacitated.

“I-I won…” he squeezed whatever strength he had remaining to say those words.

“Y-Yeah, you won,” Taycan replied while lying on the ground.

He had no choice but to acknowledge Siegfried at this point.

‘This guy is absolutely stubborn. His competitiveness plus his tenacity… Yikes! Just thinking about it is already giving me the chills! If I fight against him, then… I’ll have to fight with my life on the line…!’ Taycan was scared.

He wasn’t confident of beating Siegfried due to the latter’s unbelievable tenacity.

‘I don’t think I’m going to lose, but I should probably avoid getting into a fight with him…’

He had no doubts he was going to win as the descendant of Thunder God Vajra, but he preferred to avoid getting into a fight with Siegfried if possible.

“Ah, I’m so thirsty… I’ll call it a day. Do you want to go drink some beer?”

“No… Huff… Huff…”

Siegfried refused Taycan’s offer.

“You’re refusing again?”

“I want to rest… Ugh…”

Siegfried immediately logged out.

‘I won! I won!’

Of course, he didn’t forget to celebrate his win against Taycan before logging out.

***

Siegfried woke up at nine in the morning and grabbed his nape.

“Ah… I’m so tired…” he grumbled.

It wasn’t strange, as he had pushed himself to the limits just to try and win the race against Taycan. His condition in real life was going to deteriorate the harder he pushed himself in the virtual reality game, so his fatigue was at an all-time high right now.

“Owner punk! I told you not to push yourself! What’s great about beating that guy?! Kyu!” Hamchi exclaimed.

“Shut it!” Siegfried snapped back and said, “I can lose to others but not to him!”

“Kyu?”

“But is that bastard going to show up today as well…?” Siegfried grumbled with a hint of worry.

“Huh? Siegfried?”

Ironically, he ended up running into Taycan once again as both of them went to the entrance of the rift exactly at nine in the morning. The two of them exclaimed almost at the same time after running into each other.

‘Damn it! Why is this NPC so diligent?!’

‘What?! Why did we have to meet again?!’

Neither of them seemed to be glad about the encounter…

“Ah~ I should take a stroll in the dungeon again today,” Siegfried said nonchalantly.

“Yeah, I feel like going for a walk in the dungeon,” Taycan replied.

Twenty minutes later…

Whoosh!

Whoooosh!

The two of them exited the dungeon and dashed madly toward the Exchange NPC.

Their routine continued for an entire week…

***

Whoosh!

Whooooosh!

Chae Hyung-Seok was still waiting for the Raid Dungeon to open.

He was shocked to see Siegfried zipping past him.

“T-That bastard…!”

[Siegfried van Proa]

[Level: 235]

[Dimensional Resistance: 213]

Siegfried was only Level 231 with twenty-five Dimensional Resistance just a week ago, but he gained an absurd four levels in just a week to reach Level 235, along with raising his Dimensional Resistance to 213.

His leveling speed was extremely fast, and he would definitely be able to raise his Dimensional Resistance to 350 points in just another week, just in time for the Raid Dungeon.

‘Don’t tell me…’

Chae Hyung-Seok felt nervous at the ominous feeling creeping up his body.

‘No… No way… Even a pro gamer will take one month to gather all of it, so it doesn’t make sense he can achieve that in just two weeks…’

He refused to believe that Siegfried had any talents, but where was this ominous feeling coming from, then?

‘Fuck! Why won’t the Raid Dungeon open?!’

Chae Hyung-Seok started to feel impatient. He was anxious that Siegfried might catch up to him, and his anxiety slowly started to turn into anger.

The Raid Dungeon was completely unpredictable, and it would open randomly. There were times when it opened twice in a single day, while there were times when it did not open for an entire month.

Chae Hyung-Seok wouldn’t have minded and leisurely waited outside until it opened, but he had already gone past the deadline to settle his debt with Siegfried.

He was incurring a penalty of 2,000 gold for every day until he paid. In fact, the penalty he incurred had already accumulated to an absurd 32,000 gold, and it would soon reach the sum of his principal debt.

However, his biggest concern was the fact that the emperor was going to issue a hunt on him if he failed to pay Siegfried within the next sixteen days.

‘S-Should I sell my items…? But if I do that…!’

It would start a whole different set of problems.

.

If he sold his items to settle his debts, Chae Hyung-Seok’s character, Desire, would become an empty shell.

The God of Buffs!

Buffer of All Buffers!

Leader of All Buff-Type Classes!

The Guild Master of the Genesis Guild—one of the top ten guilds on the continent!

The most influential support-type class!

If he sold all of his items, he would lose all of his titles.

In other words, it would be the end of the Genesis Guild.

‘I can’t sell my items. Never. Fuck… I need the Raid Dungeon to open… Please… Please open…’ Chae Hyung-Seok earnestly prayed in his heart.

Perhaps the heavens heard his prayer?

Shwiiiiiiiik!

A powerful surge of mana shot out from the Great Rift, and the tempestuous mana quickly formed a vortex at the entrance.
