The group pressed on with their adventure. The next group that they encountered consisted if five goblins. Mark summoned his Bush Golems and asked them to protect Elizabeth.
Elizabeth and Armina almost squealed when they saw the golems and Mark understood why. The Bush Golems did look cute as proven by the number of views they received on the video he uploaded on YouTube.
The Bush Golems walked to Elizabeth then placed themselves in front of her facing the enemies trying to act fierce. Elizabeth couldn’t help herself and kneeled down to embrace one of the golems. Armina looked like she wanted do the same and for that matter so was Enleed.
Enleed started the group combat by hurling a Fireball at the group. Only two of the goblins were hit by the Fireball. The rest of the goblins ran towards the group.
Sam intercepted the first three goblins who arrived and when he was near enough to them, he activated his Cleave skill. Two of the goblins died immediately when they were hit by the skill and the one that survived died from the Holy Bolt that hit it from Donald’s scepter.
The last two goblins that was hit by the Fireball was finished by the arrows shit by Armina. When all if the goblins were dead, everybody cheered.
As per Mark’s instruction, they waited until all the enemies burst so they could loot them. They only got two items from the five goblins. One iron bracers that added plus one to Strength and ten to defense with ten durability and one leather shoes that added one to Agility with five defense and ten durability.
The group gave the bracer and shoes to Sam since he was their only melee fighter. Sam said he could feel the stats that was being added to him as well as the defense that was enveloping him from the armor. He said that he felt so strong and invincible. Mark laughed and told him that since he felt that way already wearing trash items, what would he feel when he wore the godly items from the lower levels of the dungeon.
Mark then told the group the different types of items they could get based on rarity. The first one was white item, which had a color white font when he identified them. The next was called rare green with green font. The next was called magic blue, then legendary purple and the last one was mythical orange. He also told them of the special red set items wherein if they wore the set, additional parameters would be added.
Sam then exclaimed that it was just like Diablo but the set items on Diablo were green. Mark shrugged and said that he didn’t know why the dungeon assigned the colors that way. He also told them that the highest item that he had gotten so far was the necklace that he had that allowed him to cast Dryad’s Circle and it was only magic blue rarity item. Even the items that they were using that has skills were only magic blue. Sam then said that the next tier could be much more powerful. Mark shrugged and said they could probably get those below the tenth level of the dungeon.
Elizabeth then said that it was already noon so they should rest first and have lunch. The group sat down and took out their lunch boxes from their bags and started eating.
“This is really exciting. I feel like my blood’s boiling every time we engage the enemies.” Donald said.
“It’s too bad that the drop rate seemed to be worse. The first time I ran the dungeon, almost all enemies dropped a loot.”
“Oh like standard MMO dungeon drop rate wherein first run gave generous drops but the succeeding ones were way worse.” Enleed commented.
Mark said that since Sam already had a leather shirt, pants, shoes and bracers, the only missing on his set were the leather hat so that means that the next sets for anyone who wants it Enleed then asked why were all the items were for melee fighters. Mark speculated that the drops would be dependent on what type of monsters they came from. If the monsters were melee, they usually dropped items for melee characters and if it’s a long range or magician, then the item from them usually corresponds to what type they were.
After the group was done with their lunch, they pressed on. The next group that they stumbled upon was larger consisting of eight goblins. Enleed proceeded to cast his Fireball and manage to hit three of the goblins. Armina shot her arrows casting her Triple Strafe. The golems that Mark summoned was protecting Elizabeth were still acting like menacing creatures.
Sam rushed towards the goblins who arrived first then activated his Cleave skills while Donald was focusing on those near Sam who wasn’t killed by the skill and hitting it with Holy Bolt. He saw that Sam was hit by a spear so promptly cast Holy Bolt at him as well.
Mark saw that when Sam was hit by the spear, he didn’t react at all and knew that his armor was protecting him somewhat and more that likely his adrenalin was preventing him to feel the pain which was them removed by the Holy Bolt skill.
Mark remembered clearly when he was hit by an arrow by the kobolds. He remembered that it hurt so much and back then he already added some points to his stats.
After a few more minutes of fighting, all the goblins were killed. Enleed then said that he wished his staff had some regular magic bolt that he could use to hit enemies just like Armina’s bow who produced its own arrows. Mark said that they could probably get it on the tenth floor boss once they arrived there.
Enleed commented that he could’ve killed all the goblins himself if he was allowed to cast his Fireball spell one after another and Mark suggested to try it out on the next group of enemies.
Mark and the rest looted the enemies and they managed to get three items. One leather hat that added one to Wisdom, ten to defense with ten durability which they gave to Sam to complete his leather set. The other two were iron spear and iron knife which Donald took. Mark offered to carry the item since he was not really doing anything but spectating.
Donald then asked why isn’t he doing anything and Mark honestly replied that he’s now too strong for the early levels of the dungeon. Mark also told the team that one of his speculations was that the second to the tenth level of the dungeon were the tutorial part and there’s a high possibility that the difficulty of the next set of floor would jump, of course with corresponding more powerful items.
