Escape the abandoned fort

We ran through the complicated and mysterious fortress without hesitation.
“Haaa…Haaa…”
Benny was out of breath, so I used “Veiled Wings of Freedom” on him to reduce his weight, and used one of my hands to carry him.
“T-Thank you...”
“It’s okay. I do stuff like this every day.”
When I was an apprentice to Rakel, using this skill while running would make me dizzy, but now I could use it easily.
Phil also had the same physical strength as me, so that’s why she doesn’t show any sign of being out of breath.
After experiencing that unexpected combat, I was able to understand why Rakel’s training was good for my body. For me, meeting Rakel was far more opportune than being born as a Roost.
“…Huh? J-kun, why are we going down here?”
Phil tilted her head as we went through the basement stairs.
“We don’t have the jail key. To save those kids, we need to unlock that door, but it’s impossible unless we have the key. We have to pull them out from the windows above their room.”
“Windows…? But they’re secured by iron bars, right?”
I smiled at Benny’s muttering.
“Let’s see about that!”
We reached a place that looked like a small courtyard.
On the ground near the wall, there were some windows with iron bars, like the ventilation windows of a gymnasium.
After I asked Benny to stand by my side, I crouched down in front of it and grabbed the iron bars with my right hand.
At the same time, I touched the stone above the iron bars with my left hand.
“Here we…go!”
“Ehhh?!!”
Benny was so surprised that he leaked out his voice.
It’s crumbled – just like the Jenga [the fuck is a jenga]
I took the iron bars off of the window.
“How…how did you do it?!”
“The reason it got off so easily is because the stone wall is too heavy. It caused the iron to turn brittle under stress.”
I said that, while swinging the iron that used to be attached to the wall.
“So it’s vulnerable to any force stronger than the wall’s weight. Like earthquakes. So after I used my Spirit Art to remove the weight, this wall turned into something not much different from a wall made of straw.”
The weight atop the iron bars was removed, causing it to loosen.  That’s all.
It seemed as if the whole wall would crumble if I had done that, but it didn’t because I hadn’t erased the mass completely.

“That…t-that’s awesome!”
“Hmm, hmmm!”
Next to Benny, Phil was puffed up with pride for some reason.
Well, I don’t care.
“Oi! We’re here to help”
When I called out for them, the children looked up at me with a surprised face.
“We’ll pull you guys out one by one! Give me your hands! Help those that can’t move!”
After that, 10 children were dragged out of the jail.
Even in this situation, my Spirit Art was useful. It could remove weight from anything, a very useful ability.
“After this, we’ll escape from here!”
To the children that assembled in this little courtyard, I declared unequivocally, “Calm down and follow my instructions. Regardless of whatever happens, listen to me obediently. Okay?”
The children nodded in unison. They’re quite obedient.
“I’ll erase the weight of those who can’t move, so please help them by picking them up. Let’s move!”
Phil lent a shoulder to a one-armed girl who couldn’t keep her balance. Benny also supported a boy who had one of his legs cut.
I couldn’t carry the injured like them because I had to move fast in case of an emergency.
I led the way and looked around the door.
Probably the safest route would be through the roof, but it’s too dangerous for those kids to walk. There’s no other way than going through the abandoned fortress.
Making sure that there was no one behind, I waved to the people behind me.
We all went out into the hallway of the abandoned fortress.
“Everyone, please, stay quiet.”
I said as we ran inside the fortress.
It was impossible for the children to mask their presence; thus, I didn’t bother to ask them to.
We had no choice but to get out as soon as possible.
The shortest route was to break through the wall and go through it, but it would leave a trace; thus, I didn’t do it.

“(Phil, make a rat go first. I want to see if there’s an enemy nearby).”
“(Roger).”
A rat that received Phil’s command runs to the front. It then turned into a corner, disappeared, and released a *ChuChuChu* sound.
“(It’s okay!)”
I trusted her, so I didn’t question her and turned to that corner without slowing my feet. There were no enemies there.
With a brisk pace, we quickly moved through the abandoned fortress.
Bandits were hard to come across. Not once did I see a single bandit.
This abandoned fort was more significant than the number of bandits from the start, but more than that, there’re chances that we’d run into our enemies.
We have to get out of here without any trouble!

“(It’s okay!)”

I heard Phil voice then we ran into a corner while running without taking a break.

“I found you...”
