Si Tian did not go to sleep immediately after leaving Ji Zhile’s room, but went to see Ji Ningyi again.

She remembered what Ji Ningyi said at the lakeside. She always picked up Zhile first after school and then picked him up.

Si Tian decided to chat with Ji Ningyi about how to pick up and drop off school tomorrow.

Before Ji Ningyi could sleep, he heard the knock on the door and opened the door.

“Mom.”

Si Tian responded and asked Ji Ningyi directly: “Ningyi, tomorrow Mom will send you to school first and then send Zhile, and after school, Mom will pick up Zhile first and then pick you up, is that okay?”

“You have about the same time to go to school. But, Zhile is leaving school earlier so that Mom picks up Zhile and picks you up at about the same time.”

One person goes to school first and the other leaves school first. Si Tian thinks this is simply too fair.

Ji Ningyi is a clever child and he can understand her meaning very quickly.

His eyelashes dropped slightly: “No need, Mom. Zhile’s school is closer to our home, Mom can drop him off first and then me, or pick up Zhile first after school, I don’t care.”

Si Tian said, “It’s okay, your two schools are not far away, so it won’t take long.”

She was worried that Ji Ningyi would be embarrassed again.

Ji Ningyi pursed his lips lightly and then said, “Okay, thank you, Mom.”

This matter was settled and Si Tian was also ready to go to bed: “Ningyi should go to bed early, good night.”

After closing the door, Ji Ningyi did not show a happy look on his face. He sat on the bed without saying a word, picked up the little bear doll, and gently pulled the little bear’s ears in silence.

“Little bear, I don’t want my mother to be like this…”

***

The next day is Monday and it is time to go to school. The three-day holiday did not affect Ji Ningyi. He still woke up at 6:20. After washing himself, he checked his schoolbag again to ensure that the homework books were all brought.

After entering elementary school, many students in the class often forgot to bring textbooks or homework, but such a thing never happened to Ji Ningyi.

He would pack his bag after finishing his homework the day before and the books inside would be arranged in order of height. He would check it again the next morning when he got up.

The teacher once asked Ji Ningyi to share the experience of never forgetting to bring books. When Ji Ningyi explained his method, other students were shocked.

Although they are already in elementary school, they are only in the first grade after all. Many children still retain the habit of kindergarten. They don’t have homework and the teacher won’t say anything if they don’t bring textbooks. They lack self-management, but this Ji Ningyi has done a particularly good job.

When they got downstairs, only Ji Jiangzhou was there, and Ji Ningyi called out: “Dad.”

Ji Jiangzhou said: “Ningyi can have breakfast first, Mom and Zhile haven’t come down yet.”

Ji Ningyi said: “No, I’ll wait for them to eat together.”

Obviously, both father and son are used to it. Si Tian and Ji Zhile always like to step on points.

Sure enough, at 6:50, Ji Zhile rushed down in a panic, with a bunch of messy hair standing up on his head. He immediately climbed up on the stool and quickly said, “I’m going to eat!”

Then, Si Tian yawned and said with sleepy eyes, “Good morning.”

After getting a response, the family had breakfast.

Ji Zhile pinched his nose, drank a large glass of milk, and then poured himself a small sip. He strictly followed the amount of a glass of milk plus one sip a day. He had already pictured in his mind that he would be taller than his father when he grew up.

Si Tian did not eat much breakfast. She felt that it was too early and she had no appetite. Waking up early was really not suitable for her. In the future, she will let Ji Jiangzhou send the two children to school, as long as she has experienced it once.

As soon as she got in the car, Si Tian told the driver the route. She leaned against the back of the seat and started fighting with her eyelids. Waking up early is really against human nature. (T/N: Agree… )

Ji Zhile was also sleepy, but he seemed to have more willpower than Si Tian. He rubbed his eyes with his hands, shook his head, and continued to look out the window. He could not sleep and he would be late when he fell asleep.

Just seeing that the scenery outside the window was different from usual, Ji Zhile immediately called out to the driver: “Uncle, you went the wrong way, not this way.”

The driver said, “Zhile, I didn’t take the wrong route. This is the new route your mother said.”

Ji Zhile snorted and asked again: “Then, will I be late?”

“Will not.”

Ji Zhile was relieved and continued to look out of the window. He felt that the new route was also very good and he could see different trees and houses. (T/N: Really a positive child!)
