Luckily, my brain is not damaged. However, my left arm is now gone, severed during the fight with Ryuuji. If this is Earth, I can just go into my lab and easily replace the broken or missing parts. But since that’s not possible anymore, I will need to find another solution. I already have a vague idea of what needs to be done to get my arm back, but it will probably take some time.
As I turn my head, I find Sophia sitting on a chair beside my bed, fast asleep. Her head is leaning slightly to the side, her hair falling softly over her face, and there are bags under her eyes. It seems like she has been staying here, taking care of me.
Then, I look around, inspecting my surroundings. The room is dark, illuminated only by dimly lit candles on a wooden table. I don’t know if it’s night or day, because all the curtains are closed, not letting any light get in. Judging from the furniture I see, the room appears quite luxurious and must belong to some noble. I guess I’m at Ariella’s place now, since I instructed Sophia to take us there before the fight.
Not wanting to wake Sophia yet, I quietly get up on my own. I put on my attire and gently push the door open.
Immediately, I'm greeted by a catgirl with short black hair and ruby red eyes. “Master Asteria! You’re awake!” she exclaims, bowing. She’s wearing a typical medieval maid outfit. Next to her, three other maids stand, all of them bowing.
“Huh?” I recognize this catgirl maid. “You are… Bella?”
“Yes,” the catgirl replies. “I’m so honored that Master Asteria remembers my name!”
This catgirl, Bella, is Ariella’s personal maid. But what is she doing here?
“Milady instructed me to wait here in case there’s any emergency or request,” Bella explains. “Master Asteria, how are you feeling?”
“I’m doing alright,” I reply. “But do you know where my daughters are? Evelyne and Helena, and their friends, are they safe?”
Those are Yumi and Hana’s aliases.
“Yes, they are all safe. They are staying in a different room right now.”
“That’s good. Thank you so much.”
With that, all of my worries are now gone. I then inquire about Lumi's condition, and Bella informs me that Lumi has fully recovered and can engage in some light outdoor activities. Curtis has also recovered and is currently staying with his children. As for me, I had been in a coma for five consecutive days. The top clerics in Vera all had no idea as to why my coma lasted for so long.
“Then, if you need anything, please let these maids know,” Bella continues. “Milady has instructed me to notify her immediately once you wake up, so if you don’t mind, I will excuse myself now.”
“Okay, I will have some food then,” I nod. I’m starving, so I need a lot of high-calorie, high-protein food to regain my strength. “If Ariella wishes, she can come and meet me anytime.”
“Yes, Master Asteria.”
With that, Bella leaves to notify Ariella of my recovery, while I ask the maids to take me to the dining room.

I'm now sitting at a very big and long dining table.
The dining hall of the Harrow estate is truly impressive. A grand fireplace dominates one wall, its flames casting a warm glow over the room. Opposite it stand several impressive sets of armor. The walls are adorned with various tapestries, but my attention is drawn to the huge portrait of Archduke Eldric Harrow, whose stern gaze oversees the hall. Just like his daughter, Ariella, his hair is a cascade of silver, flowing like a river of moonlight down his broad shoulders. He is clothed in a regal red cloak that drapes over his stately attire, adorned with intricate embroidery. A silver sword is at his side. And despite being somewhat in his sixties already, this man still maintains an incredibly good physique and charisma.
And then, the maids bring out the food.
“Oh my…”
The smell is irresistable! I can't wait to taste: a succulent roast pheasant glazed in a rich berry reduction, delicately spiced roasted root vegetables, and a golden-baked loaf of bread, still warm from the oven!
I dig in immediately and finish the whole thing in just ten minutes! But that’s not enough. I need more protein! Thus, I ask the chef to make me an extra twenty scrambled eggs.
Yet, as the eggs arrive, they all look and taste heavenly. They are just scrambled eggs, but so incredibly good that they are probably the best eggs I've ever had in my entire life!
