Boom!!!!

This time the ethereal golden energy has met its match, and it was stopped in its track.

However, this wasn't the end. The pitch-black magical rune designs began to suck the life out of it. In mere seconds, the golden energy became dull and lacked the glossy luster it had. Soon after, it evaporated in thin air.

On the other hand, the ancient pitch-black magical rune designs shone with a golden luster.

"Touch of death!" This was the magical rune design name. Its effect were pretty simple, and this symbol could be used for both defensive purposes and offensive purposes.

In defense mode, the touch of death magical rune design can be used as a shield that will absorb a person/s energy inside of it. In offense mode, whoever has their energy stored inside the touch of death magical rune design will face a similar fate.

That's getting cursed to death!

"Time to die, whoever you guys are," Elder Zachary snapped his fingers, a murderous smile on his face.

The magical rune design shattered into pieces, each shotting towards its designated target living on another planet. The shattered pieces traveled through the sea of mana and rushed towards a world that was far, far bigger than the awakened continent.

Seeing them disappear from his vision, Elder Zachary turned towards Nina and said, "See, I'm completely fine,"

Nina tensed heart calmed down somewhat and she replied in relief, "I'm glad you're fine,"

"Cough, cough, cough!"

After she said these words, he started to cough violently, throwing a fit.

"Father," she exclaimed in worry. Instantly, she reached towards him to check his conditions but Zachary moved away from Nina, turning his head to hide the red liquid dripping out the corner of his mouth.

"Don't worry about me," he said after wiping the blood away in a swift motion.

However, Nina has caught sight of the blood and her pearly white teeth bit into her lips.

"You are bleeding from your nose too," she said. At the moment, her bright eyes contained endless sadness.

She had lived here with him ever since she could remember, and he was undoubtedly her closest kin. She knows that he's barely holding on to life and death is just an inch away from him yet he still went on an adventure to get the second-life core for her little brother and got injured in the process, and for his sake, he once again sacrificed his lifespan to utilize the forbidden pen to take down the unknown enemy. All the while, she couldn't do anything, she couldn't help him. She might be a powerful existence but her powers didn't extend being the boundary of the palace and its grounds.

She felt sad as she knows full well that he doesn't have long to live. Her sadness was on full display as tears streamed down her face.

"Don't be sad. What's come will come. Moreover, I'm happy that I got a student who will carry on my will and glorify my name before my death," Gazing at the poor lass, Zachary gently said while touching her cheeks and wiping off the tears streaming down her face.

"But... But you can change it!" She exclaimed, her sweet voice filled with sorrow.

"I don't want to," Elder Zachary replied while looking into her eyes. His eyes when he said these words were hallowed as if he has given up on life, he just wanted to die.

"You still can't forget mom? Do you think she will be happy at what you are doing?" She said while looking at the statue of the scarlet enchantress.

His dried lips moved and he replied, "I don't know but I don't want her to continue waiting. I have left waiting for far too long. I'm tired, take me back to my room,"

His face was full of melancholy as he remembered the past with his wife, the Scarlet enchantress. For her, he had tried to live. For her, he did the impossible. For her sake, he obtained the changer of destiny and fate from the Monster Tower yet by the time he returned, she was already dead.

No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't revive her. A thousand methods he used but all proved to be futile.

That's how cruel is Death.

At another world somewhere far from the awakened continent.

Inside of the Grand Xie manor, the divination ancestor along with the experts of his clan sat around a crystal ball while chanting a weird syllabus. Life force wafted out of their body and was absorbed into the crystal ball.

Under the order of King Xie, they have to divine where the devil's child is hiding and locate him unless they want to be killed at the hands of king Xie. Moreover, none wanted for the devil's child to live.

'The devil's child was the only one left who can control and order the army of night. He must be killed!' The ancestor of divination thought. He poured more of his life force to boost the effect of the ancient divination technique that required the life force from 51 peoples to be utilized.

The rest of the 50 peoples felt worried for the ancestors or. He has used a lot of life force for this technique, he might run out of life force at this rate and die.

"What are you all doing? We are almost there, I can feel it. The location of the devil's child will no longer be a mystery to us. You guys, pour more life force into the crystal ball!"

"As you command, ancestor!" The 50 people exclaimed and life force rushed out of their bodies at a rapid speed and was absorbed by the crystal. The 50 people also began to age at a rapid phase.

They sat cross-legged with their eyes closed as an image of a grand palace that thrust into the skies began to appear on the crystal ball.

"King Xie, Finally I found him...!" The divination ancestor exclaimed in glee. He has been waiting patiently using the divination technique for the past few days just for this moment.
