The bloody dagger glinting with a Purple aura moved faster than the enraged Snow Wolf. It didn't even know what happened to it, but by the time it realized what happened, a red line has been drawn on its neck.
The snow wolf head detached from its torso, and Shadow sidestepped the blood squirting out of the headless body.
Whittaker crystal eyes opened very wide and he stared dumbfoundedly at Shadow.
'He is insanely fast. He is so fast that I didn't even get the chance to attack!'
This time, no notification popped up.
'My experience points!!! Next time, I got to hit the Beasts at least once, or else I won't get any experience points from their death,' he thought while smacking his lips, realizing that a bundle of experience points has just escaped his grasp.
Right now, several wolves were rushing towards them. Each of them had a ferocious face because they smelled the blood of their family. The alpha wolf, an 8-foot winter wolf, considered each member of the pack as important as a son, even one wolf's death was sufficient to enrage it.
"ARH-WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
Snow dust was raised by the stomping of the wolves in the area in front of their eyes. Now, within the snow dust, only a big black silhouette followed by varying size silhouettes could be seen.
Shadow ears flinched. "1... 2... 3... 9, a total of nine wolves, eight of them are snow wolves and one is the Winter wolf!"
"Whittaker, it's here!"
The plan was to taunt the winter wolf so that it will attack him while Shadow stall the rest of them.
"I am on it!" Whittaker crystal eyes opened very wide as if peering through the fog and he shouted,
[Frost Bolt]...[Frost Bolt]...[Frost Bolt]...
The Frost spellbook hurled ten Frost bolts directly at the silhouettes in the snow dust. The winter wolf leaped left and right to evade the Frost bolts but the same couldn't be said for the snow wolves behind it. The Frost Bolts crashed into them. The wolves hit by the Frost bolts rolled about until they slammed in the nearby trees.
The winter wolf was successfully taunted because of his attacks. It ignored Shadow and flew over his head. Then rushed straight at Whittaker.
The others wolves whimpered due to pain, and shakily stood up and rushed to Shadow. Then they surrounded him in the middle, taking faltering steps ahead. Two leapt and attacked him, but Shadow sidestepped and chopped off the head of one.
Seeing that, the snow wolves growled at him but didn't attack. This became a passive situation for the assassin as he couldn't rush in to attack.
Meanwhile, a notification alerted Whittaker, [User Killed 1-star snow wolf. Gained 100 XP]
The winter wolf rushed to kill him but Whittaker kept his cool and stood still. It seems like he has given up on living but the Diabolic Flintlock was hidden in his hands.
The winter wolf covered the distance of few paces and then leaped as it wanted to tear apart his neck. Right then, with a wide smile, he pointed the ball at the winter wolf and activated it.
Swosh~ The Winter Wolf only saw a glint before it was smashed away by an arrow that stabbed into its chest!
The winter wolf rolled about, raising a lot of snow dust.
"Phew!" The job has been successfully done, almost immediately, he shouted Frost Bolts to help Shadow.
"It's still not dead!" Shadow warned as he felt the breath of the winter wolf!
'Eh?' Whittaker turned to take a look at the Snow dust.
Sure enough, before long, the wolf's shrill ululation resounded from the midst of the dust and smoke, and a huge fluctuation of wind and ice magic could be sensed.
All the snow dust was blown away, and Whittaker saw what was going on. He saw the sight of the half-dead winter wolf half squatting body, condensed in front of its mouth was a powerful fluctuation of ice elemental mana. Its eyes glaring at him were filled with resentment.
Even after seeing Winter wolf's actions, he was not afraid nor worried about anything. A beaming smile enacted his face as he started to perform a set of hand signs.

His body was surrounded by a coating of mana, ready to protect him from any harm.
To his surprise, instead of targeting him, the winter wolf turned its face towards Shadow and released the Cold Breath.
"What?" His eyes opened wider, almost immediately, he warned,
"Shadow, look out!"
Shadow had already sensed the blast of freezing cold air. He bends around to dodge and the cold air blasted into the snow wolves. At the same moment, while still bend Shadow saw two bright blue points of light approaching Whittaker from behind the trees.
Such bright and mesmerizing eyes could only belong to the Luna!
Damn! How could a Luna be here?!!!
His eyes opened wide in alarm and he shouted, "Whittaker watch out for the Luna wolf, I saw her coming from the trees right behind you!"
'Luna wolf?' Whittaker felt a massive threat to his life.
