Barum stared into his eyes, and noticed that Shadow didn't have a hint of fear in his eyes, suddenly, the boy whispered something in his ear with a barely audible sound tinged with an exposed threat, "I choose you for a reason. Arakazan, if you keep on blabbering then don't blame me for being merciless!"

According to his spiritual senses, all the drivers at the market place gave off a dangerous vibe. Shadow was certain that they were cooperating with Bandits. Well, except for Barum, who had integrated with a demonic spirit from the spiritual world. Such humans are called Arakazan.

Anyways, by the last sentence, Shadow's eyes have changed form. His black eyes burning with a purplish aura reflected the true spectacle opposite him, it was a face, half that of a demonic spirit, and half-human.

Shadow gave off a dangerous vibe, sensing which, Demon Barum or "Arakazan" flinched. These eyes, he has seen them in legend, remembering the legend his demonic face immediately changed form to the gentle persona of a human being. His neck also returned to its rightful place in one swift movement and Barum apologized loudly, "I am sorry for not considering your feelings, do forgive me, and as you wish, I will stop telling tales, and as a token of forgiveness you guys can ask me whatever you wish."

AnArakazanis a demonic being whodraws psychic nourishmentor power from another person's emotions, and will usually do what they can to instill those emotions in others. Naturally, the emotions they draw nourishment from are fear, hate, envy, or lust, and mostly Arakazan has the same strength as a normal human. Most low-level Arakazan like Barum are harmless but have a horrifying face. They don't kill their targets, just scare them until they are knocked unconscious.

Barum wanted to have a taste of the food he was missing, so he was trying to instill fear in Shadow and Whittaker, but he had failed miserably. He thought, 'Why am I so unlucky, encountering a greater.... Damn!"

"No problem!" Saying that Shadow also stepped back with a smile on his face, and sat beside Whittaker who was slightly confused and extremely curious.

Whittaker turned his head to look at Shadow, he asked, "Are they real, the Abaddon Shamans and Savages? Do they actually eat humans? Are children really their favorite meal?"

Whittaker didn't entirely believe Mister Barum words, but he knew that he could trust Shadow as he was a Living encyclopedia.

Shadow nodded his head and replied, "But there's no need to worry about those creatures. There are many Mage castles and Armored Knight Fortress at the northern outermost boundaries, acting as a great line of defense, and occasionally vanguard troops are sent to hunt down any Abaddon that might be wandering near the boundary of the kingdom, so there's no chance for these savages to enter our kingdom."

Whittaker started to understand that his Kingdom was really powerful and really rich. Really rich because a single Mage castle costs 100000 Platinum to build from scratch.

Uncle Barum gulped as he hastened the ride. It was cold and it was snowing, yet Uncle Barum clothes seemed to have been covered by a layer of sweat. He didn't want to stay together with the people in the ride for another moment, but he must complete the ride, or else who knows what the greater one will do.

By the time they reached their location, Uncle Barum was drenched in a cold sweat. He was wetter than the underwear of a newborn baby.

Barum announced, "We are here. The Adventure Association is only fifty meters away from our location. I can't go ahead as that would be illegally entering the boundary of the City."

The cities in Water Kingdom could only be entered through the main entrance, and a commoner will have to pay the entrance fee too, but this rule didn't apply for Royal Frost Fall Academy Students.

Shadow and Whittaker stepped out of the carriage. Shadow took out some gold coins from his spatial ring and extended his hand towards the Arakazan, "Here you go, a total of seven gold pieces."

Barum extended his hand automatically when he saw the Gold piece, such was the nature of an Arakazan. They couldn't decline glittering stuff. Barum took the coins, shouted "Thanks!" and made a run for it, leaving Shadow and Whittaker in the dust.
