Whittaker had felt astounded when he realized that "Death" in the inheritance dungeons of Royal Frost Fall Academy doesn't mean death.

He had finally realized why Dean Frankenstein held a casual expression when he told him to enter the dungeons to earn money. It's because a person can't die in real life, even if he faces death in the dungeon, but each dungeon is so hard that a newbie mage will be smacked to death in some minutes!

'Maybe Dean Frankenstein forgot about it, ah, well, in the end, he was saying the truth. Dungeons precisely exist as a popular source of income among the students. It's because killing even one monster will increase the royal credit points by 1.' Whittaker thought with an amazed expression, as he didn't expect dungeons to exist in this world.

Naturally, the inheritance dungeons of the academy are hard to complete as there will be waves of monsters everywhere in every dungeon. That's why Shadow had told him to learn at least five basic pure-mana spells, before taking on a dungeon.

He had decided to do a dungeon after he learns four more basic mana spells.

Whittaker's hands rubbed together in anticipation.

"Now that I had gained essential knowledge about the Awakened continent," Whittaker picked up the Book of Gossips, placing it in front of him, he continued, "It's time to peek at other peoples embarrassing events, truth or not!"

Intently staring at the book of gossip, he wondered what surprise this book will bring him. 'Would it be better than the other books I have read or not?' While thinking that Whittaker opened the first page of the book.

"Eh?" He was met with utter disappointment as there was not a single word written on the first page, and he couldn't open any other page. It was as if the pages were glued to each other by an invisible force.

As he was about to close the book in disappointment, black and red words started to form on the first page of the book.

"Lucky Reader, congratulations, for you have opened the book of gossip, please read the following rules and consent to the rules before continuing to the actual page of gossips.

A: Once opened, the book cannot be closed until the reader reads a page.

B: A reader can only read one page a day.

C: The existence of this book must not be intentionally revealed to anyone in any way, or else the reader will have to bear some seconds of slight pain.

E: After reading the book must be placed in the same place from where it has been picked up or else the reader will become a part of the book for a whole day.

F: The book of gossip can only be utilized once a month, and the cycle of reader and writer changes each time the book is utilized by the reader or writer. A reader will become the writer while the writer will become the reader.

D: After a month, the reader must act as a writer and jot down a minimum of one gossip in the book, otherwise, the reader will become a part of the book for one day.

G: If the reader fails to fulfill rule number D and E three times then he will be banned from ever reading the book.

‹Consent to the rules›

‹Yes or No›

Put mana into the words to prove that you consent."

'Hmm, it seems like someone corrected the order of the rules. Anyways, I am an expert in hiding secrets, creating fake and true gossip is also easy and I can also fulfill all the other rules. This is simply too easy.'

The book seemed eerie yet gave off an indescribable mysterious feeling that attracted Whittaker. He felt so much attraction to the book that he didn't mind being bound by its rules.

He put his fingers above the Yes word, as he didn't have any problems with consenting with the rules of the book of gossips. Stretching his forefinger, he directed the mana into the word "Yes".

Right then the words on the page changed.

‹Congratulations Reader for you are the seven hundred seventy-seventh person to lay his hands and consent to the rules of the book of gossip since the beginning of time. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do›

When Whittaker finished reading that, the page automatically turned over.

There should be two pages, but the other page was replaced by the veil of night. It was totally dark, and Whittaker could only stare at the information jotted down on the first page.

With one glance at the page, he memorizes all the information. Some of it was pure bullshit while the other shook his heart.

‹Year 4010, Month of the Dragon and Phoenix (First month of the Awakened Calendar).

"Out of nowhere, this Frankenstein appeared in the Academy and Headmaster also promoted him to the position of Dean in two years. I have never seen him fight so he must not be strong at all. if he is not the bastard son of headmaster then who else could he be?" William Shakespeare›

Whittaker thought on this matter: 'Bastard of headmaster Yeon? It seems plausible.'

‹Year 3980, Month of the Rat (sixth month of the Awakened Calendar)

"The blood of the Devansha people runs in my veins, I can't believe it, I must hide these eyes!" Grey Feirenheat.

Whittaker thought on this matter: 'From the looks of it, this person seemed distressed and excited because of his eyes.'

‹Year 4015, Month of the Dragon and Phoenix.

"Yeon, with one move I defeated their Sword, so why would their words matter. Let them think what they like." Nemredilth nietsneknarf›

Whittaker's thoughts on this matter: 'This person seems arrogant.'

‹Year 3860, Month of Aphrodite. (Last as long as spring)

"HAHAHA, I have found the secret treasure that all men crave. Located behind the Women's open bath spring lies the hole of heavenly blessings. These voluptuous vixens~Ah~ My eyes, they are in heaven. Oh shit, my nose is bleeding! Damn, they have detected me! Kuhack!" Neon Ciradyl›
