There used to be a famous Man Jin general in the Greshamu Grassland: General Khartie, intrepid and incomparable. Before the battle, Ye Zhong asked who would lead the troops; taking advantage of the hesitation among the generals, Ye Zhao, who was only sixteen years old, answered. She spurred Taxue on right away, holding her coiling dragon saber, and directly targeted the root of the problem. In one strike, she sliced off the enemy general’s head off; in one battle, she became famous.

So how could she fear Xia Yujin’s insignificant challenge so much now?

“Alright!” Ye Zhao recalled once again the various positions Lady Hai had taught her. Once she confirmed it was what her husband wanted, she immediately pushed him down on the bed and shifted to straddle him. “If you want me to be on top, then I’ll be on top,” she boldly said.

Xia Yujin desperately tried to correct her misunderstanding. “That’s…”

A rough kiss descended on his lips before he could finish.

It wasn’t the warm fragrance of nephrite of the past but pure, naked aggression, which could not be resisted or avoided. It reminded him of once seeing, on the imperial hunting grounds, a predator pounce on a prey for the killing blow, stimulated by the smell of blood. His heart didn’t have a moment of rest. His primitive urges aroused, every inch of his skin clamoring madly with want, already impossibly taut, he only wished to throw everything aside and give in to this bestial urge.

He grabbed Ye Zhao’s waist, squeezing and running his hands the curve of it. Then, attempting to free himself and sit up, he bit her on the shoulder.

Ye Zhao’s instincts kicked in from the stimulation. Her eyes reddened.

She pressed down that still struggling white ermine and, holding his cock straight up, sat down on it hard. Even through the tearing pain, her face did not show anything, and she let out no sound, but Xia Yujin moaned as he was hit by pleasure. He kept trying to flip them over, but he was held down, unable to move. Something pooled low in his abdomen in reaction to being thus pinned down and unable to work out his frustration. He could only move his hips, thrusting up and in.

Ye Zhao adapted to the sensation very quickly. She had always liked to control the rhythm of her own fights, so she started moving on her own, first gently like the patter of the rain, then vigorously, a storm in the making. She didn’t know fatigue and her strength was inexhaustible, as though she could fight till the end of days.

Xia Yujin moved a little at the beginning, and then completely stopped, turning a single sentence again and again in his mind: Damn! I’ve seen some fierce ones, but never that fierce!

He felt shamefully good.

Ye Zhao leaned in close. “Husband, how do you feel?” she asked humbly.

Witnessing her lack of noise, Xia Yujin couldn’t easily let out his moans. He was about to protest when he looked down, and saw that Ye Zhao’s incomparably beautiful leg was slowly rising to his shoulders, until he could touch it. All the words in his mind converged into a single “fuck” in his mouth. Other than that, he couldn’t express himself.

Ye Zhao immediately grabbed his waist, violently rolling up and down, turning the already scorching heat of the battle even brighter.

Sweat was dripping down Xia Yujin’s forehead. He gripped the embroidered bed sheet until his fingers turned white, incessantly shaking. However pleasurable it was, or how tempting it was to release early, he wasn’t ready to throw down his helmet, relinquish his armor, and admit his defeat.

Lady Hai had taught her that a man would shout out if he was satisfied.

Seeing that he was soundlessly biting his lips, she was a little puzzled. She quickly turned over the lessons she’d been taught in her mind and suddenly remembered she’d omitted to make any sound herself, so she twisted her hips and let out some low moans, softly calling, from time to time, “Husband— you feel so good.”

From the bottom came a strong offensive; from the top, lewd and loud words. No concubine or tongfang maid, with their small-minded diligence, nor even the best courtesan — if they were ever as daring as his wife — could be as dedicated as her, or if they were, as strong as she was, for she wasn’t born yet, the one who’d match his wife’s strength…

Whether the general be on the battlefield or in bed, she must sweep everything before herself…

What could the prince care about the position?

Everyone of his bones was clamoring in unprecedented pleasure, so intense that tears threatened to fall.

He forgot time until he finished.

In any case, it had far surpassed any of his usual sexual experiences. There was no shame in it.

After finishing, Xia Yujin was so exhausted that he couldn’t be bothered to do anything. Embracing his wife, so misbehaving in bed he wished he could fight her, he fell asleep, still bewildered.

He leisurely woke up early the next morning. Because he hadn’t exhausted his physical strength, he felt no particular ache in his lower back, only an empty mind. Then he abruptly remembered that he’d had sex with his wife for the first time, and he hastily turned to embrace her and do some affectionate pillow talk. But the pillow at his side was unexpectedly empty. Ye Zhao had gotten up long ago.

“Anyone?” He looked around, touching the bed.

“Here.” A maidservant anxiously walked in, holding a gold basin, recalling how, when she’d come for cleaning up, she’d found the general’s pants and the prince’s belt under the tree, the rest of their clothes inside, some of them torn apart, all scattered about. She also remembered seeing the general’s satisfied expression and how good her mood was, expecting that the prince had made a show of his virility and that the battle had been fierce, the passion between them intense. Admiring and amazed, she discreetly stole several glances at him.

Xia Yujin was used to being waited upon. He lazily propped himself up and asked, “Where’s the general?”

“Outside, training,” the maid replied in a clear voice.

Early in the morning after their first night together, why would she practice if she wasn’t dissatisfied? Was she looking to make her husband uncomfortable?

Xia Yujin indignantly reflected on this.

In hindsight, the maid also thought of this, and the passion weakened a little in her eyes.

“Have her come back in to help me get dressed!” Xia Yujin angrily said.

Ye Zhao hadn’t thought about it this much. She never slept in. Every day, she got up when the rooster crowed, practiced for half a shichen, then freshened up. Neither wind nor thunder would alter it. Now, as she was practicing swordfight on the training grounds, she heard her husband’s calling, so she went back quickly, opened the door and walked in. It was rare to see him get up so early, so she walked over and asked him, “Are you going back to sleep?”

Looking up, Xia Yujin saw that his wife had already revoltingly gotten dressed. What was even more revolting was that she wore men’s clothes, combed her hair in a men’s bun. She casually sat on the bedside. But he was barely covered by the blanket, hair in a mess, without a wisp of clothing on. This kind of scene always made him feel strange, and when he thought about the previous night’s wild events, he felt so awkward that he couldn’t say a word.

It was Ye Zhao’s first time. Although she did not fear pain, it didn’t mean she didn’t feel any, so she hadn’t quite felt satisfied, but she was happy that he did, and the thrill of conquering was very pleasant. Now that the two of them were face to face again, she felt a little embarrassed again, and hurriedly recalled what Lady Hai had taught her about the afterwards. She tried to lean in, intending to cuddle and exchange sweet talk.

The general was tall, thin but densely muscled, and with a thirty-catty sword hanging from her waist, she weighed quite a lot.

As soon as she leaned in, the prince fell over.

The two of them lay on the bed, staring at each other in dismay.

A small mishap was no major problem. Ye Zhao started to praise him, according to her instructions. “Your ammunition is abundant, husband. So big and powerful.”

Xia Yujin glared at her. “Get up.”

Ye Zhao was silent for a moment, then she continued, “The mightiest I’ve ever seen.”

“Because you’ve seen a lot?” Xia Yujin faintly asked.

“There are so many boors in the camp, and they’re all men, so you often see them running about naked… but I’ve never looked much.” Ye Zhao had first honestly nodded, seen from his face that it was the wrong answer, and quickly started shaking her head. She remembered that she might remembering the lesson wrong, so she hurriedly amended, “Was it, no, was I good, to make you come?”[1]

Her memory was so bad. She ought to ask Lady Hai for a cheatsheet.

Grief-stricken, Ye Zhao tried to free-style it. “It felt good for me, did it feel good for you?”

The look of a man, the mannerism of a man, the question of a man — in the end, who was the visiting patron, and who was the visited courtesan?

Xia Yujin was seething with anger. He gritted his teeth and asked, “You seemed very happy on top, mhm?”

“Yeah.” Ye Zhao, too happy, didn’t notice the resentment in his voice. Thinking back on the previous night, she contentedly licked her lips. “Either way, I’m stronger. This position fits well.”

“Fuck!” Xia Yujin broke down completely. “Who the fuck says I’m not strong?”

Ye Zhao, who was stronger than most men, hesitated when she saw him so furious.

For the sake of his manly dignity, Xia Yujin slapped the headboard again. “Again!” he yelled. “Let’s fight again! You’ll see if I’m strong!”
