After Jiang Hua came back, A Miao's life became less boring. She did not know if she deliberately kept herself busy so that she did not have time to entertain foolish ideas. She promised to go to the northwest with Jiang Hua.

When Shen Xinglan heard the news, his face turned blue.

"What are they doing going to the northwest?" He stared coldly at Shen I in front of him, frightening Shen I, who quivered two times before he said, "I heard that there is something taken out of a graveyard, so..."

Shen II glanced at the worthless Shen I and stepped forward and asked, "Does Boss want to go also?"

"Find someone to mix in with them. I want to know everything about A Miao after she leaves City S. Even if she goes to the toilet several times, you have to report it back to me."

It was a hot and dry summer in the northwest. A Miao got off the plane and it took another five hours to get to the foot of the mountain.

"Drink more water and don't go back sick again." Jiang Hua handed her a bottle of mineral water.

A Miao took it and said thank you. At that moment, an old man approached her. He was not tall, but dark and thin, and the shrewdness in his eyes was not like that of an ordinary old man at all.

"Mr. Jiang is right! Hello, I am Old Nine." The old man held out his hand and nodded courteously to A Miao.

A Miao returned his smile, while Jiang Hua shook hands with the old man. "Don't mention it, Sir Nine."

"Haha, I know Mr. Jiang has a very big name in the circle. I will trouble you and your students later."

Jiang Hua greeted him and said that he would come with his students. Although Old Nine thought that A Miao was very beautiful, she still could have been Jiang Hua's woman, but that was none of his business.

What he worried about was that such a delicate little girl would drag him down...

"Let's go and continue on and we'll arrive before dark." With a wave of Old Nine's hand, several people led the way in front, and everyone went to the mountains together.

A Miao listened to Jiang Hua tell her the general situation on her way here. This gang actually robbed tombs, but they always went by the rules and only took a few pieces every time they robbed them.

"There are several things that they are not sure about this time, and they want us to appraise them."

Just a few things of those things were ancient jade, and A Miao was good at this. She followed quietly the entire way. The road was not easy to walk on, and after a while, it was not exactly even a road.

"Hold on, we'll be there soon." Sir Nine saw that A Miao had not complained, which greatly eased his mind, and at the same time, he had a better attitude toward her.

Jiang Hua smiled and said, "It's okay. Don't worry. We can keep up."

Finally arriving at the tomb, they took the things inside the tomb passage because they could not see any light. Jiang Hua held A Miao up and saw a pile of things on the ground before he took a few steps.

"I am not sure about these pieces of porcelain." Sir Nine pointed to several rose-colored bottles. "There are also these two pieces of jade ruyi and several pieces of jade pendants."

A Miao glanced at Jiang Hua, who nodded and put gloves on to take a look at the porcelain, while A Miao went to inspect the jade pendants. When she started to look at them, she was taken aback by a box inside.

"What's up?" Sir Nine saw that her expression was wrong, so he leaned in to ask.

Jiang Hua also turned around and frowned darkly when he saw the box inside.

"It's nothing." A Miao smiled. "I just didn't expect to see the exact same jade pendant." She knew that Jiang Hua had also been to the auction and had naturally seen the bronze mirror jade pendant.

However, Sir Nine asked curiously, "Is there another piece of this thing?"

"We came across it at an auction," Jiang Hua volunteered. "But I don't know who the collectors behind it are."

Sir Nine clicked his tongue. "That's too bad; otherwise, selling this to them would fetch a good price."

After looking through everything, it was already dark. Sir Nine, according to the appraisals of Jiang Hua and A Miao, chose a few strong goods, ready to take them out.

"A Miao, isn't it?" As they were going out, Sir Nine handed a box to A Miao. "Seeing that you always looked at this, I guess you really like it. Take it and enjoy!"

"How can you do this? I can't take your things." A Miao hurriedly pushed it away.

"Haha, this is not ours!" Sir Nine was amused by her words. "Take it, or else it will be buried in the ground and taken away when the next grave robbers arrive."

Seeing that A Miao bit her lip, Jiang Hua reached out and took it. "Take it if you like. It's okay."

"Rest assured, the tomb is clean." Sir Nine finally said some words.

A Miao did not think too much as she did not understand the geomancy of grave-robbing. She thought that she was worthless. Why was she still thinking about the guy named Shen Xinglan?

Always thinking of that bronze mirror jade pendant, and wanting to give him...

"Sir Nine!" As soon as they came out of the tomb, some people rushed up and shouted, "It's going to rain heavily. I'm afraid we can't get down the mountain."

A Miao noticed that the sky was dark and the clouds in the distance seemed to be sinking down.

"We'll go down the mountain and stay in the village for one night if it's too late." Sir Nine waved his hand and everyone hurriedly followed.

Jiang Hua looked at A Miao and saw that she looked normal. He knew that she did not object to spending the night in the countryside, but he still felt very guilty.

"I guess it's too late. I'll have wronged you all night." He looked at the sky, where the rain was falling.

A Miao looked at him discontentedly. "As if I were spoiled... We still don't know who is spoiled!"

Jiang Hua did not take her words seriously, but when they really could not make it down the mountain and stayed at a villager's house, he understood what A Miao had meant.

"Mr. Jiang, miss A Miao! I have wronged you, staying here all night." Sir Nine had a face of regret. Those other people could sleep on the mountain, but them: an expert and a delicate little girl...

A Miao was laying a mat on a kang. Her white mat was very clean. It was obvious that the host family had already given them their best things.

"Sir Nine, don't mention it. It's quite good here. At least we don't have to get wet in the rain!"

Hearing what A Miao said, Sir Nine grinned. "Hey, I actually underestimated you! When you are ready to eat, I'll have the villagers kill a local chicken."

When Sir Nine left, A Miao took the quilt into another room. "What? Not used to it?" Seeing Jiang Hua silently following behind her, she could not help quipping.

"You comforted me just now!" A Miao spread the quilt well. "Look, it's quite clean, you can rest assured."

Jiang Hua smiled helplessly. "Thank you, I thought you would find such a kang too dirty."

"It's not dirty." A Miao jumped down and kicked the kang. "These black markings are left by their fires from winter."

Touching his nose and knowing that he had lost someone, Jiang Hua followed her to the big room in front with a smile. In the end, A Miao froze as soon as she entered.

"Why are you here?" she asked in surprise.

The hoarse voice was more surprised than she was.

"Miss A Miao? Why did you come here?"

The big-bearded cleaner stood there, stiffly looking at her.

"I'm working." A Miao's eyes flashed warily. "What about you?"

"This is my aunt's home." The big-bearded guy pointed at the middle-aged woman who came in with a bowl of delicious chicken.

The woman exclaimed, "Lil Qi, since when do you know this city girl?"

"Auntie, this is a resident of the place where I work." The big-bearded man moved the stool to the table. "Miss A Miao, sit down."

Lil Qi's aunt went out to serve a few more dishes. The staple food was white-flour cake rolls and roasted meat, and a large pot of hot mutton soup.

"The girls in the city are just different. Look at their skin. They are all as tender as a newborn lamb at the head of the village!" When setting out the chopsticks, Lil Qi's aunt paid A Miao a big compliment.

In the end, A Miao blushed and swallowed back what she had wanted to ask.

"Here we are. Take your time and have a few drinks with your big brothers, Lil Qi!" His aunt finally pushed Lil Qi onto the stool before turning to leave.

"Won't your aunt eat?"

Lil Qi saw A Miao ask him and he looked up and seemed to be smiling, but because he had such a huge beard on his face, A Miao could not tell.

"She is in the other room with the children. There are too many of us."

A Miao nodded, fearing to frighten the child.

Jiang Hua never said a word, but A Miao knew he was watching Lil Qi. After all, it was too much of a coincidence.

"Are you from this village?" Jiang Hua filled a bowl of chicken soup for A Miao. Sir Nine and his men were at another table.

Lil Qi gave him a look, nodded slightly, and pushed a plate of fried bamboo shoots to A Miao. "There were freshly dug out in the mountains."

"Thank you." A Miao and Jiang Hua looked at each other, then asked him, "Why did you suddenly come back? Did you quit your job?"

"It's just a temporary decision." Lil Qi seemed to have the patience to answer her question. "My uncle fell from the mountain two days ago. My aunt called me back because she was afraid of him."

Suddenly, Jiang Hua quietly raised his glass and handed it to him. "Have a drink."

"I don't drink." Lil Qi pushed his hand away.

A Miao followed up with a sentence. "Didn't your aunt ask you to accompany them to drink? As it turns out, you can't!"

"Eat slowly, I'll go to work." Lil Qi put down his chopsticks and stood up.

Jiang Hua scowled. "Does he seem angry?"

"He seems to be..." A Miao sighed. "Did we say something?"

She still felt very strange. The person she saw in her doorway yesterday unexpectedly ran 1,000 miles away and met her again.

"Don't think about it. Block the door at night." Jiang Hua told her to eat quickly. Anyway, she slept in the inner room, so if anyone really wanted to come in, they would have to pass through his room first.

A Miao nodded, thinking that she would go back and trouble Le Yi to investigate this person, in case he was aiming at Shen Xinglan... "Pah, pah!" Why was she thinking about him again?

Outside the house, Shen Xinglan stood under the canopy with a calm face, when suddenly in front of the water tank a head appeared.

"Boss, have you seen miss A Miao?" As soon as Shen I finished speaking, he regretted it. A burst of lightning flashed in front of him, making him see that his Boss's eyes were almost red.

Shen Xinglan gave him a quick look. "Is the news you received this afternoon accurate?"

"There must not be any problem. Shen II checked it out himself."

"Pay attention to A Miao's room, any movement..."

Shen I said immediately, "I will rush in as soon as there is any movement!"

"Do you want to die..." Shen Xinglan gave him a sinister look.
