Chapter 291: Time for Four

Tauro, Aeris, Ragune, and Ankh were limited to the Marquis Van Dyne’s mansion, but the four of them spent time together recounting the past events in their own words and confirming them with each other.

“─ ─ And you know what? Thanks to the equipment Tauro prepared for us, we’ve improved a lot. We’re even  starting to get some recognition from the Adventurers’ Guild at their headquarters in the Royal Capital.”

“I’m glad to hear that. But I think that’s because of you guys' efforts. ─ ─ Yes, that’s right! On a different note, are the three dragon people doing well?”

“Of course they are! I taught them a lot about life here. Besides, those three are much older than me and are full-fledged warriors, so there’s no problem. Well, since we came to the royal capital, we’ve been going our separate ways a lot, but that’s for information gathering, so I don’t blame them.”

Ragune answered about the three of them.

“Leader, those three are quite something, you know? Not only are they good in combat, but they are also first-rate in tracking, interrogating, and identifying people. It is a miracle that we have three such versatile warriors.”

It is rare to see Ankh regard so highly of others.

Ankh himself is a first-class warrior and rarely evaluates others because he sees people according to his own standards, but if he praises them, there is no doubt about it.

“With those three in the group, the reputation of ‘ Black Golden Wings’ has risen considerably. By the time Tauro returns, the name ‘ Black Golden Wings’ will probably be well known in the Royal Capital.”

Aeris answered with a happy smile.

“I see. Well, I’ll have to work hard on my quest over there in the meantime. Oh, with Pella, of course.”

When I touched the belt, Pella, the familiar monster mimicking the belt, reacted with a spring.

“If Tauro’s story is true, then Pella is very strong, isn’t she? But that doesn’t mean that Tauro should be too reckless and don’t overwork Pella, okay? It seems that Pella's body defense saved you from the attack of the realm guardians in the dungeon.”

“Ha ha ha ……. It’s true that I relied on Pella for that one. …… I’ll be careful from now on.”

Tauro laughed at Aeris’ point of view and vowed to be careful.

In this way, the time spent by the four of them passed quickly, and after spending the night at Marquis Van Dyne's mansion, Tauro decided to return to the Dragon People’s village early in the morning.

“Then, Aeris, Ragune, and Ankh. Please take care of the rest. I hope that the adoption case will be settled and that Viscount Saissi will be held accountable.”

“Yeah, be careful too, Tauro. We'll take care of things over here. Next time we meet, it will be to arrest Viscount Saissi for hunting down Tauro.”

"I hope so. ─ ─ Oh, yes! Please give my best regards to Marquis Van Dyne and Count Graunewald. I will not forget their kindness."

“I’ll let them know, but next time you come back, you can tell them yourself.”

“Yes. Okay, then, Ragune, “Dimensional Corridor, please.”

“Okay."

When he answered, Ragune opened the “dimensional corridor”.

Tauro waved his hand to the three of them and disappeared from the scene the next moment.

“He’s gone again.”

Ankh let out a natural comment.

“I guess so. Tauro is doing his best over there, so let’s do our best. We have to protect the Black Golden Wings, where Tauro lives.”

“I agree! That’s the most important thing we can do right now!”

Ragune nodded broadly in agreement.

“Well then, when the three dragon people wake up, shall we go to the Adventurers' Guild and do some quests today?"

“I think the three of them have been feeling a little stuck lately, so it would be nice to take a break.”

“All right, then, I’ll go wake them up.”

Ragune was about to call the three senior members of the dragon tribe.

“Don't do that, Ragune. Last time, you got scolded for waking them up early in the morning, right?"

Aeris stopped Ragune, concerned about the three dragon people who seemed to be having trouble getting out of bed.

“…… that’s right. Well, then, until they wake Up, I can go ……. Ankh, you’re going to have to help me with my sword training.”

“Yeah, no problem, but is it with the armor that tauro gave you again?”

“Of course! I want to learn to use it properly so I can surprise Tauro when he comes back.”

“Ha ha. Well, I understand how you feel, but be careful not to overdo it and ruin the garden of the Marquis’ mansion, or Sheeps-san, the butler here, will get angry with you again.”

Ankh pointed out that the last time she had ruined the garden during a similarly intense training session, she had been lectured by Sheeps-san, the head Butler back at the residence in the royal capital.

“That …… was a quandary, and I’m sorry I went too far ……. Damn, kill me!”

Ragune’s usual line came out along with her remorse at Ankh’s point.
