The very next day after I finished the bandit capture contract, I decided to go to the public cafeteria and report about its completition. While usually we do our reporting in the front counter, today Wanzardt-san led me to the back room instead.
I didn’t quite understand what’s happening, so I did as he told, kept my hood on, and followed. He led me to a small room with a round desk and a simple chair.
「Wanzardt-san, is there something wrong?」
「Did ya see the duo at the table near the entrance?」
「Table near the entrance? No, I haven’t but-」
I tilted my head and whisper. I certainly walked pass them, but I didn’t exactly see them.
「Then peep at the counter from here. Should be fine. Just don’t show your face. And make sure they don’t catch ya」
「P-peep…?」
Wanzardt-san didn’t look like he was joking, so I took a quick look at the counter. Certainly, I saw 2 men sitting on the table near the entrance door.
「Eh umm… So those 2 people are?」
「Do you know them?」
「I don’t think I do…」
Both of them dressed relatively well. The sword hanging on their waists were also quite good. Judging from the air around them, I could guess that they were quite strong, but that’s it.
「Those guys, they came here about 3 days ago. The people here are either contract workers or customer drinking alcohol. But I always keep an eye on everyone enter and leaving this place. These bunch obviously looking for someone, so I used my 『Information Discovery』 and ya name popped up, lassie」
「M-me?」
「Mmhmm… I thought it would be nice if lassie knows them, but I guess things will get different. So whatcha gonna do?」

I had no idea why people would be looking for me in the first place.
「Fortunately, they don’t seem to know lassie’s face. This bunch was pro’lly keeping an eye out for someone with black eyes and black hair. Ya probably can still escape now」

But I don’t know how long would these 2 people wait for me here. I would need to be very careful when I accept the contracts here. In any case, it affect my life directly. It’s better if I finished any business as soon as I can.

Apparently, I was being looked for by someone outrageous.

I responded to his worry with a laugh.
I took off my hood and looked straight to their direction.
They seemed to notice me, as they stood right away and walked towards me.

「His Majesty the King has summoned you. We shall escort you right away」

「You shall know after following us」

The way things go made it look like I was arrested by the police.
