Fate was an inevitable monster. To be exact, Mirania could feel that her ending, guided by this world, was approaching like a monster.

‘This time, I have to come up with a different ending.’

Mirania glanced up at the sky. “We must prepare to camp in here.”

An hour later…

Tick, tack—

The bonfire burning illuminated their surroundings, and Mirania calmed at the warmth of the red flames.

Chewing on the berries, she had gathered around and mumbled. Sweet and bitter nectar moistens her tongue and runs down her throat.

By the time Mirania had eaten half of the fruits, the wind blew. Behind her, there was a sound of the bushes shaking. Mirania has made no effort to ascertain the identity of the noise.

The sound stopped in front of her as she stared at the bonfire flames swaying sky-high with a nonchalant expression.

Thud!

Something heavy fell.

“Mirania, look what I brought!”  The one with the cheerful voice was Grecan.

“At a glance, I could tell it’s just a corpse of an insignificant beast.”

A mocking voice came from above, it was Leverianz along with the wind blowing due to his wings, and the sound of the bushes behind was Grecan.

The two revealed this, with Mirania in between. Like it or not, Mirania was free from all thoughts and was just munching on the fruit.

‘You two should have listened to me when I stopped you.’

Somehow, the fight intensified, as if her reaction was adding oil to the fire as soon as she tried to warn them.

[Are you saying something?] said Leverianz

[Is it my fault, not the bat’s? It doesn’t feel right.] answered Grecan.

They were so upset, after going through that a few times, Mirania didn’t intervene unless it was destroying the witch’s castle and forest.

‘Even if they quarrel among themselves.’

“Mirania, I found something to eat. What do you think looks better?”

‘Because that’s how you draw yourself in.’

Popping the berries through her lips, Mirania stared at the large mushroom Leverianz was holding.

What Leverianz likes was fresh blood and a kind of fruit and vegetable.

Grecan, on the other hand… “It’s a road to the second continent we’re taking, so how can such grassroots fill your stomach? You should at least eat one of these.”

‘A total carnivore.’

Grecan, who snorted, put a huge wild boar hanging from his back on the floor.

Thud!

Grecan, who started hunting at a much earlier age than his peers to survive, has now become a master of hunting.

His bronze-colored body and top covered with muscles looked smooth.

The wild boar, which had been decapitated with precision, was perfectly cleaned as if it only needed to be skinned and baked immediately.

Leverianz frowned, “It stinks, so eat it yourself.”

“I’ll get rid of you! You weak bat.”

Sparks flew from their eyes as they glared at each other.

“Try me.”

“Grrr!!”

Mirania’s eyes were stark when she saw the two gritting their teeth toward the other.

The two people, who seemed to rush in and grab one another by the collar, suddenly looked back at her.

Mirania seemed to have a migraine when she saw the pair of eyes flashing in the dark.

“Mirania, what do you want to eat?”

“You have to eat meat to boost your weak stamina.”

Mirania, seeing the slender and alluring Leverianz and the large built of Grecan, who seemed to be able to knock his opponent out just by pouncing on it, poured the remaining fruit from her palm into her mouth.

Then clicked her tongue, “Tsk, tsk…”

Why do they fight over such useless things?

‘When are they going to grow up?’

Even as she clicked her tongue, Mirania’s finger pointed in the exact same spot.

“This!”

A smile spread around Leverianz’s lips, who was chosen, and the corners of Grecan’s mouth, who was rejected, slowly twisted.

“I hate meat.” Mirania reasoned.

A mushroom was better than a wild boar.

Leverianz smirked at Mirania’s insipid voice and sat in front of the campfire with mushrooms sticking to a branch.

“It’s a pity you still don’t know Mirania’s taste.”

“…”

“As expected, I’m the only one who knows Mirania the best.”

As if teasing Grecan felt good, Leverianz smiled with satisfaction. Grecan had a face like, if he had wolf ears in his human form, they would have drooped.

Grecan, sullenly, murmured, “But Mirania, you have to eat meat. Because Mirania… you’re too weak.”

‘Why does he still say I’m weak?’

Mirania, annoyed by his words, raised her head and blinked at Grecan, who came close before she knew it.

Grecan was looking at Mirania’s thin wrist seriously. Mirania was forced to compare her wrists with Grecan, who was just in front of her.

Grecan’s dark, thick wrists had large bulges of blue tendons. In contrast, her wrists were white and thin.

Although the veins are visible, it does not look strong like Grecan but rather emphasize weakness.

“…”

Mirania felt vague. ‘When I glanced at Grecan, I thought he was looking at me with childish eyes of pity.’

Grecan still seemed to believe that the power of the body was the strongest.

Mirania looked at Grecan, who felt sorry and placed her hand on his head.

“Such a simple thing. When will you grow up?”

Grecian’s eyes widened, and he grabbed Mirania’s hand as she tried to lower it.

“More,” Grecan demanded in a slightly husky voice.

“Do it more, Mirania.”

Mirania, who was slightly embarrassed, let out a smile.

‘He only grew in size, but that’s the only thing that’s changed.’

Even though he became an adult, he still likes a pat on his head.

Mirania smiled lightly and ruffled Grecan’s dark hair.

Swoosh!

At that moment, a huge mushroom squeezed in between. A large mushroom filled Mirania’s view.

In response, Mirania removed her hand from Grecan. As the mushrooms were removed, Leverianz suddenly appeared on the spot.

“It’s all done. Enjoy the delicious mushroom.”

At the same time, Mirania accidentally put a small piece of mushroom in her mouth.

An unpleasant sound flowed behind Leverianz’s head as Mirania chewed the baked but still mushy mushroom.

“What are you doing?”

Leverianz’s eyes, disgruntled, were bright and fixed only on Mirania.

At the same time, sparks from the bonfire rushed into Grecan’s face.

“Aw— Ouch!”

Grecan’s face crumpled, frowning like a child.

“Pfft…”

‘…?’

When Mirania looked up, Leverianz stopped laughing and put a piece of mushroom in his mouth.

The smile she saw at a glance was so evil that Mirania shook her head.

Grecan seemed to run and attack Leverianz right away, but somehow changed his mind and focused on dismantling the boar skin. Then he threaded the chunk of meat through a branch.

It wasn’t even a blade, and it wouldn’t be easy to string a piece of meat on a tree branch, but Grecan made a skewer without difficulty.

Mirania stared at Grecan, who was making meat skewers.

The topless Grecan, moving around, was even more feral than Mirania had seen in the witch’s castle.

When she looks back at Leverianz at his shoulder-touching movement, Leverianz smiled and took a piece of mushroom.

Mushrooms… Common ingredients that could be obtained after just walking around for 30 minutes.

Leverianz’s appearance, which the witches of the Witch Castle called the prince, was getting worse in Mirania’s eyes day by day, and somewhat pitiful.

‘If I throw them into the forest, only Grecan will survive.’

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.”

As I averted my gaze, Leverianz put the mushroom into his mouth.

As his hand wasn’t also strong, Leverianz asked in a soft tone, “What were you thinking?”

“…”

“I suddenly feel bad.”

‘He’s like a demon.’

Mirania hurriedly looked for something to change the subject.

She mumbled at the mushrooms and frowned, “Um…”

“Isn’t it delicious?”

At Mirania’s reaction, Leverianz’s expression when he removed the mushroom from the branch and put it in his mouth became subtle.

Leverianz, who was supported by the bats as a child and never lifted a finger to do anything himself as his followers in the Witch Castle do everything for him, was quite a gourmet.

“I should have brought salt.”

Leverianz said with an expression of the unwillingness to swallow.

Mirania, by comparison, nodded calmly.

“Grecan’s meat will taste even better with salt.”

Mirania took the compass but hadn’t thought of packing the spices.

She doesn’t pick what she eats, she only eats fruit, but these two couldn’t survive more than a hundred days on that alone.

I thought I should go to the second continent quickly, but my skin prickled. Mirania’s downy hair stood on end. Her rival was approaching.

‘And it was pretty fast too!’

It was the moment Mirania, who was surprised, was about to stand up.

Swoosh!

White bones protruded through the ground.

“…!”

Mirania’s eyes widened, swallowing her screams.

The bones of the fingers clatter as if they were aware of her existence. Mirania quickly hid her fright and held out her hand.

White bones snapped, and put down a cloth bag the size of a baby’s palm on her palm.

The bones, who finished their work, disappeared underground just as suddenly as when he appeared.

Leverianz and Grecan’s movements stopped abruptly.

“Wah, what was that?” Leverianz asked.

“Bones…” Grecan

“You stupid wolf. Who didn’t know that and asked?”

A piece of mushroom fell to the floor from Leverianz’s hand, as he was so flustered.

Mirania left the bickering two alone and looked at the pouch left by the white bones.

When she opened the pouch, a white powder appeared.

It was salt.

‘I couldn’t believe it.’

Sure enough, someone was sitting there gazing at Mirania glancing up, he saw someone watching her.

A tall man sitting on a branch. When our eyes meet, the man grinned.

“Hey, darling, do you need that?”

Mirania shouted as she knew his identity.

“Malandor!”

At the appearance of a suspicious man, Leverianz and Grecan rose. The faces of the two, who did not feel the presence of someone approaching at all, hardened.

“Mirania is so clumsy. You can’t live without me, can you?”

Malandor spoke to Mirania in a cool manner while receiving the menacing energy of the two.

As if the two weren’t worth worrying about.

“I heard you’re looking for me. I couldn’t meet you because I was in my hometown.”

Malandor with a regretful look smiled and continued, “I couldn’t stand it because I was curious about what brought you here. I came running to ask you that.”

It was only to Mirania that he looked and spoke to.

Cold energy flowed from Leverianz, who noticed the complete disregard.

Sniffing, Grecian’s nose wrinkled and his eyebrows twitched.

“It smells dirty.”

Mirania let out a small laugh.

‘As expected, you have a good nose.’

Dark people are a race that specializes in necromancy, driving the energy of death.

Among them, Malandor’s power of darkness and death was so strong that he could move a thousand white bones alone.

“Oh, my.”

Malandor glanced at Grecan with a smile. His face was smiling, but his eyes slightly raised, giving off a dangerous feeling.

“It’s a wolf cub.”

Malandor nodded his chin in a tone quite different from when he was talking to Mirania.

“Aren’t you growing fleas in that hair of yours? Didn’t the guy I saw before has fleas all over his body because he didn’t wash that much? I’ve been prejudiced ever since. I’m telling you just in case, if you come close, you’ll die.”

A sneering, mocking tone. Grecan, unlike usual, responded calmly, “Mirania, my nose is sore from the stench. Can I crush it with my front paws? I think it would be better if I pop him.”

Should I answer this or not? Eventually, I answered, and in conclusion, it didn’t matter whether I answered.

“… You can’t.”

Grecan and Malandor glared at each other. The atmosphere was grim.
