After freshening up the trio drove back to the hospital. While Xin Qian went to meet D. Wu, Abigail and Julian, on the other hand, told everybody the reason behind Yu Yan's attempt at suicide. Zhao Wei looked visibly enraged, Zhao Mei looked a bit mad as well for God knows what reason. She never cared for Yu Yan now what was she mad about?
They sent Wang Yong, Zhao Wei, and Zhao Mei back home to rest and assured them that they will take good care of Yu Yan & Xin Qian and will call them when Yu Yan will wake up. The moment they left, Dylan turned to face his friends, "What are you guys hiding?" he asked. Arianna and Li Yi Fend looked at them for an answer. They were such close friends that they could easily tell when one of them was hiding something.
Abigail and Julian then explained to their friends in detail as to what lead to Yu Yan's current condition. Dylan had been furious after he got to know about what Li Qiang had done but now that he got to know the full story, Dylan was burning with uncontrollable rage. Can Zhao Mei be considered a mother? How could she treat her own child like that?! And that Li Qiang, that bastard!
In anger, Dylan slammed his fist on the wall, hurting himself in the process and his reaction shocking his friends to the core. They had witnessed Dylan being angry at someone or something many times but he had never been this much furious. "D.." Arianna placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort him but nothing could comfort him now except Li Qiang's sufferings.

Xin Qian was sitting in Dr. Wu's cabin, discussing Yu Yan's case with him.
"I have been treating her from the past 2 years. She had been making progress lately but I don't know what happened that made her do this again." Dr. Wu sighed.
"Again?" Xin Qian frowned, the thought that Yu Yan may have tried to harm herself in the pas was frightening.
Dr. Wu just nodded in positive which pushed Xin Qian to ask, "How many times?"
"Many." Dr. Wu replied. Since he began treating Yu Yan, he had never seen anyone from her family. It pretty much seemed that nobody cared enough. And now here he was, dealing with her sister.
Xin Qian didn't press the issue further, the past can't be changed but the future can, "I am here to discuss Yu Yan's treatment. Till now I knew nothing about her condition but I am with her now. Tell me what can we do to cure Yu Yan, I will do anything to help."
"She just needs love and care, talk to her, spend time with her, just...just be with her, okay. I will be continuing with her therapy sessions but she also needs her family's support and love. Keep her away from any trauma, any kind of situation that may affect her emotionally." Dr. Wu then explained to Xin Qian in detail about the therapies and the medication that Yu Yan has to take.

The Next Day
The first thing that Yu Yan noticed when she finally gained consciousness was the white colored ceiling and the beeps of machines that were connected to her body. To soothe her parched throat, she tried to pick up the glass of water from the table beside her bed but she couldn't raise her hand as she felt some kind of weight holding her back.
Tilting her head a little she noticed that Xin Qian was sleeping holding her hand. Yu Yan tried to remove her hand from Xin Qian's hold but the motion also woke Xian Qian up.
"You Are awake!" Xin Qian exclaimed happily making Yu Yan frown.
"I'll call Father and others, oh! I should call a doctor first." which is what Xin Qian did.
After the doctor finished the checkup, the Zhao sisters got the time to talk. Xin Qian had thought about everything that she wanted to talk about and with Yu Yan but now nothing was coming in her mind. Yu Yan, on the other hand, was feeling slightly uncomfortable because of Xin Qian's presence.
"I know." Xin Qian began.
"Huh?"
"I know about Li Qiang."
Yu Yan's face changed hearing Li Qiang's name, all those painful memories came to hit her at the same time. It felt as if her heart was being poked with multiple needles and then squeezed dry.
"I know about everything else as well, I read your diary." Xin Qian confessed. Yu Yan wanted to dig a hole and dump herself in it, she had never been so embarrassed ever, it kind of felt like humiliation.
Getting no response from Yu Yan, Xin Qian continued, "I am sorry."
Yu Yan looked at her with tears in her eyes, "I am sorry that I didn't treat you well in the past. I should have stayed by your side, helping you and being the sister that you deserve. I know my apology won't change the past, it is nothing in front of your sufferings. But is there no hope left? Can't we start over again?"
Yu Yan let her tears fall freely. For the next few minutes, no one said a thing, the silence was becoming too much to handle. Wanting to cut through the thick atmosphere, Xin Qian opened her mouth to speak something but was interrupted when she heard Yu Yan say, "I am sorry too."
Yu Yan choked on a sob but continued, "It's not your fault, I was stupid to trust wrong persons."
"It's not your fault. This is a part of human nature." Xin Qian reasoned.
After a pause of another 5 minutes, Yu Yan said, "Xin Qian, just because what happened it doesn't mean that we are going to become besties all of a sudden."
Xin Qian chuckled. She approved the silent agreement they just shared, no words were needed, the actions were enough."Okay!" Xin Qian smiled, "Who wants you as a best friend anyway." she teased, "I just need my sister back."
Xin Qian smiled at Yu Yan who reciprocated it with a smile of her own. Soon enough the nurse brought a bowl of soup for Yu Yan. Xin Qian took the bowl from the nurse and herself began feeding Yu Yan. There was another important thing that she wanted to discuss with Yu Yan.
"I will take care of Li Qiang. After I am done with him he won't be able to hurt anybody."
"What are you going to do?" Yu Yan asked.
"You'll find out about it later. Just focus on recovering for now. And one more thing, your mother...." Xin Qian trailed off, she couldn't find the right words to deal with this particular topic.
"I don't want her around me. She means nothing." Yu Yan was tired of hoping, expecting that one day her mother would care for her and love her like a mother is supposed to. She didn't have the strength for it.
"Then she won't bother you."

As she had promised, Xin Qian made sure that Zhao Mei won't be able to meet Yu Yan during her stay at the hospital. When Zhao Mei tried to protest, Xin Qian threatened her that she would reveal to her father about how had she treated Yu Yan and the plan that she had in mind for her and Wang Yong.
Before going back to her home, her and Wang Yong's home, Xin Qian stopped at the abandoned warehouse where Aunty Rong was held captive. She called her friends there as well as there was something that she needed to discuss.
"I would be leaving for New York the day after tomorrow." Xin Qian announced.
"What? Why?" Li Yi Feng asked.
"I and Wang Yong are going to have our honeymoon there." Xin Qian replied. She looked around and noticed that her friends were looking at her with raised brows.
"I have to settle things there. Pack up my business from there and shift it here."
"And?"
"I had sent Wang Yong's reports to the doctors in New York, they said there are chances that Wang Yong will be able to walk again. And the suspicious thing here is the fact that Wang Yong told me that his doctor, had told him that he would never be able to walk again." Xin Qian told them, "What surprises me is that the man who is a known legend in the business world can be this much stupid to not consult another doctor about his condition."
Her friends chuckled. "And while I am gone, you guys have to take care of Yu Yan, I don't want her to be surrounded by unwanted people."
"I'll be leaving in two days as well. Got an important case so I have to go back." announced Julian.
"You will be going back as well?" Xin Qian asked Arinna.
"Yeah. I, Julian and Regina have to leave." told Arinna.
"You don't have to worry about it. I am going to stay in the city for a while. I will be there with Yu Yan. Abby and Yi Yi are here as well, so you just relax okay. Leave Yu Yan's responsibility to us." Dylan assured.
