The reason my lip color changed, it was because of something that happened in the basement of the temple.

I don’t think it was due to Uncle Rabbit’s influence. I’ve been with him for a long time and there was no change.

Then the only thing remains is the green gem.

As I spoke, letters on the green window were engraved with unprecedented speed.

[ 'Miss Butterfly' asks urgently, “How did you know? Did your lip color change too? Did any of my disciples ignore you despite it? Is there anyone with green color is around you?” ]

“There are none. I don’t know how long Miss Butterfly was sealed, but it seems that such people have disappeared during that time.”

The green window was empty again.

Without waiting, I spoke.

“So stop leaving marks on people.”

[ ‘Miss Butterfly’ says that the colors will disappear again if they don't come into contact with the energy she sends. ]

“Before that, people will die. Right now, people think those with green lips are witches and kill them.”

[ ‘Miss Butterfly’ says, “I can't believe that they think my mark is a "witch's mark." Does that mean 'I' have been forgotten, too?" ]

“It appears so.”

I stare at the words on the window, my mind racing as the shocking news continues.

[ ‘Miss Butterfly’ is speechless, asking what is happening to the world? She panics, wondering if a child as young as you will die because of her. ]

“Maybe…?”

Perhaps truly taken aback this time, Miss Butterfly remained silent for a while.

Then, after a moment, the text was slowly appeared.

[ ‘Miss Butterfly’ understands and solemnly says she won't engage in marking anymore. ]

A surprisingly cooperative response.

‘She seems easier to communicate with than Uncle Rabbit!’

‘Miss Butterfly’ looked so gloomy that I felt compelled to cheer her up.

A red window popped up next to the green one.

Then, as if in a fit of rage, the words were inscribed.

[ ‘Uncle Rabbit’ shouts, "Why are you talking to my bunny without my permission?"]

Then the green gem pushed the window from the gap.

[ ‘Miss Butterfly’ says, “Sh*t. It’s that stinky fellow again.."]

Now it was me, who was standing in shock.

I glared at the unwelcome interloper who had interrupted Miss Butterfly and me.

“Who’s a bunny?”

[ ‘Uncle Rabbit’ smirks, "If I’m a rabbit, you’re a baby bunny.” ]

“What? Who cares!”

I looked at Miss Butterfly’s direction in protest.

“She will scold you for me.”

[ ‘Miss Butterfly’ giggles, saying that your eyes are pink and cheeks are white and chubby, just like a bunny. ]

‘Even her!’

I shuddered, feeling betrayed.

‘Nope. I don’t like that nickname!’

I preferred names that were stronger than weak. Maybe a Red Hawk or Blue Wolf?

[ ‘Uncle Rabbit’ says, “You freely call me a rabbit, so you should be ready to accept the nickname too. I don't like being called an 'uncle' either, with all my taut beauty. If you don't like being called 'Bunny', then you should call me brother, not uncle…” ]

“You can call me Bunny all you want.”

I snapped back.

I’d rather be called Bunny than address him as a brother.

Seeing me, leaving no place for negotiation. The green window chuckled.

[ Uncle Rabbit: “Is that so hard to fulfil. Aren’t you being too much?!” ]

“B-By the way, are you and Miss Butterfly friends?”

I asked, trying to silence Uncle Rabbit’s complaints.

But that one word made the red and green windows shake like crazy.

[ Uncle Rabbit  : “Why would I be friends with that weird woman @#{protected}%” ]

[ Miss Butterfly: “That guy and I are worse than enemies {protected}” ]

‘I think I just poked a sore spot…’

I was really interested.

“You’re not even friends. Then why are you sealed side by side? Did you do something bad together?”

[ Miss Butterfly: Absolutely not. We were put in the sealing stone because of a bad guy. ]

[ Uncle Rabbit nods in affirmation. He’s a greedy traitor who trapped his mates so he could have all the power for himself. ]

I glance at the red and green gems in the pendant.

[ ‘Uncle Rabbit’ is glad that a lot of time has passed and that the seal has weakened due to the recent shock of the explosion. ]

[ ‘Miss Butterfly’ suggests that if this little bunny becomes her contractor, she will give you a gift after the seal is broken. ]

[ ‘Uncle Rabbit’ sneers, saying he already proposed that to bunny and got rejected. ]

[ ‘Miss Butterfly’ is getting furious… ]

The two beings started bickering again.

I stared at them in silence.

Then the rattling, growling gems fell quiet.

[ ‘Uncle Rabbit’ wonders if you’re upset seeing us make noise. ]

“No, I’m just curious.”

I opened my mouth with a cold expression.

“The one that sealed you two is… Prache. Isn’t it?”

At that question, both windows went blank.

I asked again.

“Are you both Gods?”

The idea that Uncle Rabbit might be a ‘God’ had been in my mind for some time now, given his strange remarks.

It wasn’t something a normal being could say.

That suspicion turned into certainty when I met Miss Butterfly.

‘A being with her own priests, devotees and yet she is sealed.’

Such an existence could only be a God.

According to the legends, Prache had sealed all the demons.

‘Besides, Miss Butterfly just told me that the jewel they’re trapped in is called the Sealing Stone.’

‘Sealing stones’ were stone fragments sealing demons.

In the original, Prache ordered Asta to gather these sealing stones.

Wherever there were sealing stones due to the ominous aura of the demons, dangerous events occurred.

‘But Uncle Rabbit saved me from dying in the basement.’

Of course, it could be the presence of the sealing stone that almost killed me.

I stared sharply at the two empty windows.

Then, as if on cue, the words slowly began to appear.

[ ‘Miss Butterfly’ admits that they were sealed by Prache, but she adamantly refuses being a demon. “Despite the vast passage of time and the death of all my priests, with no one remembering me, this existence still claims to love humans." ]

[ ‘Uncle Rabbit’ tells to cut out the nonsense and just tell it like it is. He asks, “How can Prache who established a secular domination and calls a soul piercing object a relic be good?” ]

The answer was expected.

‘They want to use me as a contractor to break the seal. Were they the good beings?’

But Uncle Rabbit had a point.

If they were nice people, what would that make Prache?

Asta was a fake saint, and even the saint Yenna, whom he had sent, was not a good person.

[ ‘Miss Butterfly’ pleads that if you help, you can learn the truth. ]

[ ‘Uncle Rabbit’ scoffs, saying, “I've already done that. My bunny didn’t agree with it.”]

“Okay, I’ll help you.”

The red gem was shaken hearing my reply.

[ “But bunny rejected my offer.” He cries out, “Was our relationship so vain? How can you do that to me?” ]

“I’ll help Uncle Rabbit too.”

[ ‘Uncle Rabbit’ knew you wouldn’t leave him alone and praises bunny for being too kind, suggesting we start with a contract soon. ]

“But it won’t be a contractor, I don’t want to act ‘on behalf’ of anyone, I’ll just help you both as much as I feel I need to.”

The two windows fell silent.

I changed my stern expression to a childlike one.

“When there was an explosion in the basement of the Great Temple, you saved me, Uncle Rabbit. And that’s when I realised I’d rather be a friend than a contractor!”

[ Uncle Rabbit is terribly embarrassed by the word 'friend'. He hunches down and thinks to himself. ]

His reaction was very different than I assumed. I thought he would just brush it off or play a mischievous prank, but he seemed more sincere than I thought.

‘As a God, he might be confused if a little child asks to be friends.’

I guess friendship was out of the question.

‘What if he doesn’t want to be my friend?

While I was thinking about it, a text appeared above the empty red window.

[ ‘Uncle Rabbit’ asks if you are sincere, questioning if you’ll really be friends with him? He wonders if you’re only joking, finding it hard to believe. ]

I was surprise seeing the letters shaking with excitement.

‘D-Did he like it?’

Suddenly, the red window swayed happily from side to side.

It was awkward because it resembled a wagging tail of a puppy.

The green window, distancing itself further from the red one, spoke.

[ ‘Miss Butterfly’ says, “He's a man who didn’t have a friend in thousands- No tens of thousands of years. You can change your mind now. It’s better for you to stick with this sister.” ]

I was at a loss for words.

‘Uncle Rabbit may have a quirky personality, but I was his first friend?’

Still, he doesn’t seem like a bad guy. He saved my life, after all.

The red spear was trembling, unsure of what I might say.

‘But I like him as he is. Changing my words might disappoint Uncle Rabbit greatly.’

And for my sake, two insurance policies are better than one.

‘He said the explosion must have weakened the seal.’

They could wield enough power to leave marks on a human body just from the natural loosening of the seal over time.

‘Now that the seal is weakened due to the explosion, they might be able to use even greater power. Perhaps, they could protect me with that power.’

I needed a presence to protect me right now.

‘Maybe in the not-so-distant future, I might be branded as a ‘witch.’
