After the Regulators completed their inspection, they made contact with the Earth Federation Leader and spoke in private for some time before they were seen returning to the gateway.

"Please wait a moment, Esteemed Regulators," a man in black and blue armor by the name of Douglas flew over and stopped the Regulators from departing.

He was a Level 47 Hunter, someone who can be found in the top ten of the A-rank Hunter Ranking. But he was uncrowned for having yet to reach the same level of strengths as the other King Hunters.

After the two Regulators paused and turned around, Ceone quickly urged, "What is it, human? Make it quick."

"Yes, Esteemed Regulator. I was wondering if the Federation will be sending reinforcements over to help us deal with the Second Wave?" Douglas queried.

"Earth has been designated to self-governance and self-reliance. Note; the federation has made no arrangements for such reinforcements." Ceone frowned slightly.

"Suggestion; the Federation will consider sending reinforcements after a request has been lodged by Earth Federation Leader." Cetwo kindly inputted.

Douglas gaped for a moment before nodding, "Understood. Sorry for taking up your precious time, Esteemed Regulators."

The Level 47 Hunter was partly relieved that the Federation would not be sending powerful sentinels over to steal their EXP, while on the other hand, he was worried that Earth will fail to cope with the Second Wave.

"Comfort; no worries."

Just as the Regulators about to enter the gateway, their holographic assistance devices suddenly lit up with a string of information;

[An anomaly has been detected]

[Abnormal surge of Spiritual Energy detected]

[Traces of unknown electrical discharge detected]

[Speculation: Presence of True Immortal???]

The Regulators cast each other a glance before the both of them punched in a few holographic keys on their wrist device.

Ding!

Traces of Divine Energy was expended before an information package was sent to the Federation's headquarters through a minuscule pocket space.

The two Regulators did not wait too long before they were alerted with a new text on their holographic device.

Ding!

[Mission update]

[First mission: Locate the True Immortal]

[Time limit: 30 days]

[Reward: 5 units of Divine Energy]

[Second mission: Bring True Immortal back to HQ]

[Time limit: 300 days]

[Reward: 200 units of Divine Energy]

[Failing to complete the missions in designated time will result in a 50 unit penalty and another team taking over]

[Do you accept? Y / N]

Ceone and Cetwo glanced at each other with a rare hint of emotion in their eyes, seemingly excited with the generous rewards and leniency of a time limit.

Nevertheless, they did not accept immediately and started consulting each other.

"Request; accept the mission. The reward is very generous, Ceone."

"Denied. The mission is too risky. Failing to pay the required penalty amount will result in a lower citizenship rank, Cetwo."

"Insist; successfully completing the mission will result in an increase in citizenship rank, Ceone."

"Denied, Cetwo."

The pretty twins immediately glared at each other with slight pouts and continued to bicker back and forth without a clear decision.

Silvercove city.

The entire city was filled with chaos.

The sound of heavy gunfire and clashes of metal was heard in every corner of the city. People fought the descending interdimensional creatures, hunted them, became stronger—and rinse and repeat.

In the suburban districts, the sound of chaos was no exception as elderlies pulled out their hidden stashes of firearms and chased the flying interdimensional creatures down the streets.

RATATATA!

"Come and get some of dis, ya filthy creatures!" a granny barked while spraying with an assault rifle under the belief that Hunters have longer lifespans.

However, the granny failed to control the strong recoil, resulting in the bullets spraying everywhere as the surrounding people ducked for cover.

The agile ones dodged easy while the clumsy ones tripped and grazed themselves on the ground, evading the stray bullets nonetheless.

"Holy hell! Whose granny is this?! Those assault rifles are prohibited goods!"

"She probably has a relative working in the underworld businesses or from a corrupt official working for the government or military!"

One of the young men with spiky red hair glanced at his flimsy kitchen knife before he cussed, "Dammit! That granny is wasting such precious bullets! If It was me, I would have felled 15 flying creatures already!"

"Don't tell me that you plan to snatch the assault rifle from that granny?" another youth with a buzz cut asked in shock.

"Why not? That's actually a great idea, aye."

"You're going to offend the people behind that granny by doing this!" the buzz-cut youth warned.

However, the spiky-haired young man shrugged, "Once I become powerful, would I still need to fear them?"

Shortly after, the spiky-haired young man began inching closer to the granny when he suddenly heard a loud gunshot before glancing at the bullet holes in the ground with white smoke escaping.

Shock filled the person's eyes before it quickly turned to fear.

Chik! Chik!

The sound of a loaded shotgun was heard.

An old man with a cigarette in his mouth quickly warned the spiky-haired young man, "You better not have funny ideas on my wife and back the f*ck off before I pump ya body full of holes, ya smelly brat!"

"Hiii! Y-Yes, sir!"

In another suburban area, Klein Seymour and his family all arrived at the main Seymour household with large stretches of land all owned by his father,

"It's been a while since I last visited this place." Klein Seymour commented as he got out of the car, followed by helping his wife, Jun, out of the car after him.

"You did go on a long fishing trip, Klein."

"True."

After Jun exited, Eleanor and Anya got out. At the same time, William Seymour's family exited from a different car while the person himself was not with them.

"The hidden base in our family home, father?" Klein Seymour queried.

David Seymour did not answer immediately but gave his big family a glance while standing with the support of his walking stick for a moment.

"I'm sure you have all seen the family home many times every time you all come to visit me each year, but I'm sure none of you have seen this."

Shortly after David Seymour spoke, he pressed a hidden button on his walking stick before the courtyard before they started to rumble, revealing a big opening that leads underground.

Everyone's eyes flickered with shock, including William Seymour's wife and two sons as they were no exception.

Evidently, only the Old Master Seymour and his personal subordinates themselves had been aware of such a thing existing under the family home.

"Wow! This is so cool!" Anya exclaimed.
