“No, how, no, why are we here. Where the hell is this place….?”

He looked around.

In an instant, the dark clouds moved away and the sun colored the sand with golden light. The sea became a deep blue color, and the sky shone like a sapphire.

The dark clouds transform into pure white puffy clouds.

“I’m sick and tired of this.”

At Nina’s words, Benzel turned to see her.

“So now, I really need you to wake up!”

Her clenched fist came into view.

What?

Puck!

His head was spinning with intense pain making him fall backward.

“Ah….really…….”

Nina, who had climbed onto his body, was limp. Benzel barely took hold of his hazy gaze.

A hard stone floor.

Darkness.

He looked back at Nina and frowned, lifting his body up in astonishment.

“Dame Nina!”

Nina was a mess.

One of her hair-tails was half burnt by fire, and one of her arms was broken and rattling, she had clothes soaked in her blood and a tired look that was evident on her face.

“Why, how-.”

He flinched as he reached out his hands because they were pitch black.

A color like black coal

Then someone hugged Nina tightly. It was as if they were trying to separate her from him.

“Damn, did you have to go this far to save that bastard? Did you have to do this!”

Randell began to get angry in earnest and Nina let out a short breath.

“Can’t you give me some treatment first and shout later?”

“No. you have to hurt a little, too. That way, you will never do this again.”

Randell said sharply. Nina opened her eyes wide and muttered, “That’s too mean.”.

Her long coat was contaminated and had long since been thrown away.

Nina had to concentrate on moving the spirit power inside him while staying with Benzel, who had become a Bellac, and it was difficult to keep her mind on the physical side.

Thanks to that, she got hit a few times by the Bellac, and this was the result. Her strength grew, but her body did not become steel.

Randell brought bandages and medicine from his bag.

“So what? Do you want to see your bowels come out?”

“It didn’t come out.”

Nina protested.

The medicine they brought was not a strong medicine that reconnects bones and flesh. Kirill repeatedly improved the medicine after testing it on Lorocomo but banned Nina from using it.

All she could use was a weaker version.

‘If you this medicine to repair the body, your energy will be consumed. You fight with Spirits, don’t you?’

Kirill’s words were clear.

If she uses that medicine while running out of energy after using a Spirit, it’s no different than draining from life force.

So, Nina had to be satisfied with a medicine that had a regrettable level of regeneration.

When she asked if it could be combined with the energy replenishment pills, Kirill beat her in the head.

‘Do you want to become a junkie to fight?’

Kirill wasn’t wrong about that, so Nina was vigilant so she wouldn’t get hurt in battles.

She grumbled at Randell, but her face was pale as she shed too much blood. Randell began her treatment without delay and the anesthetic quickly clouded Nina’s mind.

Her blurred golden eyes turned to Benzel. He was looking at Nina with confusion and astonishment in his gaze.

Nina sighed and said.

“Benzel, you avoided the death flag…did you know?”

“I don’t know what that is, but I wish he had just died.”

After Randell said so he quickly finished the first aid with meds, and bandages and hugged Nina up.

“We go back, right now.”

“No. Not yet, a piece of the fallen spirit……”

Nina grabbed him by the collar with weak hands.

“That’s what you’re saying in this situation?! Do you want to die? Is your life that light? What do you think of people who value your life? What do you think of others who care for you? Are you fussy because you are an idiot or because you don’t have common sense?”

Nina looked at him in surprise and then dropped her head like a scolded puppy.

“I don’t think like that…”

Randell was also disillusioned with himself, who berated her when Nina was groggy under anesthesia and couldn’t even think properly.

“I will take care of it.” (Randell)

Benzel limbs were still black as if he had worn black gloves and boots. It didn’t look human. He now knew what had happened. He clenched his teeth and looked at Nina.

“I’m sorry, Dame Nina. I, I-.”

“Don’t shamelessly talk to her, half-wit.”

At Randell’s ferocious tone, Benzel’s face flushed red and Nina slapped him on the shoulder.

“Put me down.”

“To stand on two legs, you need the strength of your core, and if you give strength to your stomach right now, the wound I sewed will burst.”

Nina continued, trying to hold the mind that was clouded by the anesthetics.

“Won’t he be affected by the corrupted fragment?”

“If he goes back to Bellak, I will finish him. Because I really want to.”

“This…….”

Nina felt like crying and dropped her body. Perhaps because of the anesthesia, she simply felt that way, but tears really flowed down her cheeks.

Confused, Randell spoke as if spitting the words at Nina.

“Why are you crying?”

“Hey, Randel, you’re being mean……”

“What did I say that was mean?”

Randell’s voice softened a little and he went on to say

“I was just telling the truth.”

Before Nina opened her mouth, Benzel spoke first.

“He won’t be affected, for now. I can at least tell that.”

Benzel glanced into the cave.

“There were large pieces left here that had not been retrieved, but it seems that people came from time to time to dig up little by little, leaving only one large piece that is impossible to carry.”

“What about the barrier?”

“Priests can go in and out of the barrier.” (Benzel)

Randell clicked his tongue at Benzel’s words and nodded.

“You, stay here. I will return with the Saint soon.”

“That Saint is-.”

“Not the fake one.”

At Randell’s words, Benzel nodded. He lifted Nina and looked at her stomach, then clicked his tongue.

“No, let’s go together.” (Randell)

“What?”(Benzel)

“I can’t take Nina down the mountain by myself.”

He spoke in a sullen tone.

* * *

The townhouse of Duke Luverne was in turmoil.

Randell, who had put Nina down, dragged Fiona and disappeared beyond the portal without explaining the situation.

Kirill even gave up her trademark nagging.

A silent Kirill was more frightening, but somehow even with her mouth closed she still managed to nag with the silent treatment. She healed all the places Randell had patched in the first aid.

Nina, who had changed into the hospital gown, called out, “Kirill……” very softly, but she didn’t answer.

“Well, there was a good reason for it.”

“Reason?”

Kirill turned around.

“What kind of reason was that? …Hold on.”

Kirill suddenly opened the door to the medical room and the men who had been anxiously waiting rushed in.

“Is she okay?”

When Adrian asked as the representative, Kirill said.

“She’s going to explain the situation, so come in.”

Jean asked again.

“What about her body? How’s the injury?”

“I’m sure she’s fine because she’s going to explain.”

“Kirill.”

When Adrian called her, she smirked and snorted a reply.

“If it’s not dead, there’s nothing I can’t fix.”

Relief passed over the faces of Adrian, Jean, and Louis who had been waiting with anxiety.

When the three men came in at the same time, it felt like the small treatment room was packed full.

Nina looked at the three of them one by one, and gave one last gaze at Kirill.

She let out a heavy sigh and started.

“That-.”

Nina succinctly began with the story of meeting Benzel.

Adrian listened to the story completely expressionless, and Jean had a deep frown. Louis sighed when he heard that Benzel had returned to a human being.

“It’s really a story worthy of Dame Nina.”

“There seemed to be at least one way, I couldn’t just kill him.”

Nina sighed heavily.

She didn’t do anything particularly wrong, but she was being scolded and nagged for being hurt.

“I won’t let you off the rook next time. Okay?”

Nina shrugged her shoulders at Jean’s threat and he opened his eyes wide.

“What is that shoulder gesture? What that shoulder mean?”

At any rate, everyone’s anger subsided somehow. There was no one to say ‘Why didn’t you kill Benzel?’ in this room.

“By the way, Sir Benzel become a Bellac.”

Louis frowned.

“He didn’t have any conscience or self as a Bellac, right? Did he really turn back into a human? Is he not going to revert back to a Bellac?”
