"Sweet, I just got the burgers, let's head back." I then handed Owota the paper bag and we began to walk.
◉ - ◉ "Sure."
It's been a week since we killed that Phoenix. We haven't had an attack since then, so we had time to relax. Owota and I were walking back to the base with food until a cat suddenly jumped in front of us.
◉w◉ "Oh my god is that a cat!? I love cats!" Owota then ran towards the cat and began patting its head.
Now I know why they call you OwOta...
"Yeah, there are tons of cats here so pet as many cats as you want, there is a ton of them here."
◉w◉ "Huhuhu, they're so fluffy!" Owota said as he began to hug the cat.
Never expected Owota to be a cat lover... he always seems so serious...
Man, I am bored...
"Hey, I'm gonna go and look around, you can play with the cats, I'll deliver the food."
◉w◉ "Oh, okay then. Meet ya back at base."
I then walked off into the distance looking around the city. I then entered a national park, the entrance had a metal gate with two statues of angels on both ends of the gate. Seems a bit too extravagant for a park...
"What were you doing to those cats back there?"
"What?"
A strange young lady then appeared in front of me pressing a handgun against my forehead. "Don't try anything, I'm not afraid to shoot..." She wore a white school uniform with a red tie and blue collar. She had her blonde hair tied up in two buns with two long white pieces of cloth that reached to the ground. She looked young, she's around my age probably.
Well, I'm gonna die...
"I didn't even touch the cat..."
"You're lying..."
Maybe she will let me go if I say please.
"Just let me go please."
"No."
It was worth a shot I guess...
"Hand me all of your money right now, make it quick or else I'll shoot you with my fake gun."
"Okay, okay I'll be qui-"
Wait... what?
She then stepped back and put the fake gun in her back pocket."Looks like you've forced me to use my last resort..."

"SECRET SPECIAL TECHNIQUE, RUNNING AWAY!" She then grabbed my burgers and began to bolt for the exit. "Later lose-" She then tripped on a rock mid-sentence dropping the burgers. I then grabbed her arm so she wouldn't fall face flat on the floor.
"You... saved me from falling... instead of your burgers..."
I meant to grab the burgers... Like why on earth would I save this person's face instead of my burgers? This person legit just tried to steal from me...
"Sorry about trying to steal from you... I just didn't have enough money to feed my cats..."
Oh, I know what's happening right now...
She's trying to make me feel bad for her so that I give her money. I can't believe that she's trying to trick me like this... As someone who was homeless, I knew this trick like the back of my hand and used it all the time when I was starving.
For her to think that I would fall for this is entirely stupid. I then pulled her up and grabbed my squished paper bag of burgers off the floor.
Only a stupid loser would fall for that trick...
-Literally Three Seconds later-
"Have the burgers..." I then gave the girl the paper bag and began to walk off.
"Wait up burger-boy!" She yelled as she ran to catch up to me.
"Please don't call me that..."
"What do I call you then?"
"My name's David..."
"Call me Kim."

I then finished all the food in my mouth and drank some soda. "You should meet some of my friends, they have some cool abilities too."
"Really!? That would be awesome! Thanks, burger-boy!"
"My name's David..."
"I like burger-boy better!"
-Twenty minutes later-
"I'M GONNA BREAK THE WALL!" Ada screamed at Mike.
"DON'T BREAK THE WALL!" Mike begged Ada as he got on his knees.
"I'M GONNA DO IT IF YOU DON'T SAY THE LINE!" Ada then clenched her left fist and pointed towards the wall.
"I'M NOT SAYING IT!"
"SAY IT OR ELSE!"
Mike then sighed, stood up and crossed his arms, "I LOVE ONLY THREE THINGS IN THIS WORLD! SUSHI, ANIME, GAMING AND GAARUUUGAMESH!" Mike shouted at the top of his lungs.
"Thank you, slave!" Ada then crossed her arms and began to laugh.
"What the hell does that even mean anyway?"
"It's an internet thing don't worry about it."
Kim slowly turned towards me with a disappointed look on her face, "These are your friends?"
"Work friends..." I whipser in her ear.
Mike then turned around too look at us, "Who's the girl?"
"She's-"
"I'm Kim, hii!"
She interupted me mid-sentence...
Ada then ran towards Kim and began inspecting her. "Woaah, does she have any abilities?"
"Yeah, she was thinking about joining."
"Cool, what ability does she have?" Mike then took out a notebook and began writing.
"I can go invisible for 5 seconds or more!"
- Silence -
"David..." Mike then put his right hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah?"
"Can you explain to me... why you brought someone who can go invisible for a couple of seconds, to an orginiseation that kills giant monsters? HOW WOULD SHE BE ABLE TO KILL A KAIJU?"
"Well... she can go invisible!"
"Well do you have like an internship or something available?" Kim said awkwardly.
- Silence -
"Actually we do have an internship open, come right this way!"
"Wait really?"
"No..."
"That's harsh..."
"I was kidding... just sign this waver."
"Ah sweet!"
The waver was a yellow piece of paper that had only one thing written on it. "If you die by kaiju it's not our fault." Mike then gave a pen to Kim.
° ͜ʖ° "Seems legit." She then wrote down her signature and gave the pen back to Mike. "So... what's our first mission?"
"OUR FIRST MISSION... IS TOO! Sit down and just do whatever, I don't know..."
"YES! I'M THE BEST AT THAT!"
