The sound of footsteps could be heard approaching before the portal fluctuated and a figure dressed in black appeared.
The portal immediately fluctuated a few more times before figures were coming one after the other until their numbers reached in the hundreds as they looked at the sight around them.
As the fight was only finished recently, the strange people looked around with a calm face at the bloody battlefield. Seeing the scattered corpses of the goblins, a look of disdain immediately appeared on their faces.
One of the people who had a strange appearance of a human with pointed ears was teleported just beside the corpse of a goblin, surrounded by it's green viscous blood. The blood slowly streaked towards him and just before it managed to touch his shoes, the man's face immediately changed.
The man raised his finger towards the goblin's corpse and a flash of light appeared in an instant before it shot like lightning towards the corpse. The corpse was immediately turned into ashes and the blood that almost touched his shoes was instantly evaporated.
"Filthy trash!" spoke the man with utter contempt at the sight
Seeing the man's powers, the people watching were terrified. With just one finger, the goblin was turned into ashes! Their hearts started beating wildly as their hearts tightened. If that man wanted it, he would be able to kill everyone here…, and there were almost a hundred of them!
If they started attacking… their doom was imminent!
*clap clap*
Hearing the sounds of the clapping, the people were terrified. They could only rigidly turn to look at the figure in the lead who was clapping, gulping down a mouthful of saliva in their mouths.
"Now now, don't be afraid my friends! We are here with peaceful intentions, don't be so scared!" said the man in a polite tone, making the people feel relaxed
Wang Tao and his group, however, were still vigilant. The man that spoke was dressed in black with a hood and a mask on his face. On his waist hung two incredibly sharp daggers which radiated a special light, making anyone facing him apprehensive. Wang Tao knew, those daggers must be incredibly valuable and dangerous, the material that they were made from couldn't possibly exist on this Earth.
"I am Pulse, a Dimensional Merchant. The ones beside me are also Dimensional Merchants and our task is to build this city and let you grow stronger. If you have any valuables, you can sell them to us. If you are interested in any type of weapon, from Cold-Weapons to the Ultra Advanced Technological weapons, we have them. We also have slaves and beasts…" as his voice reached this point, his gaze turned to another man in the crowd
The man who's appearance wasn't different to a fat pig, immediately let out a disgusting grin before he turned around to look at the portal. A chain immediately materialised in front of him, before the man pulled harshly at it.
A dragging sound could be heard from the portal as the sounds of footsteps could be heard once more. Immediately, cuffed people in a chain could be seen coming out one after the other, all of them connected by the same chain.
The people could see right away that inside the chains were incredibly stout men, with a darker complexion, and women who were wearing only the underwear, some with tears in their eyes and some indifferent to everything with incredibly beautiful figures that made all the men's eyes pop out of their eyes, lust and desire burning inside of them.
'If they are slaves, doesn't that mean we can buy them later and use them for ourselves..?' thought some of the men in their hearts, just to be returned to reality a moment later
One of the man, who was incredibly robust, immediately jerked strongly at the chain showing his indignation.
"Bastard! Once i get free, i will kill you a thousand times!" screamed the man at the top of his lungs towards the man who looked like a fat pig that held the chain
The man's scream was incredibly strong as the people watching could feel his unyielding spirit to not be a slave. But not only that, the people could feel it. That man gave off an aura even stronger than the Twin-Tailed Python and the Goblins! The people were scared. If even that man was captured like that…will they suffer the same fate as him?
Just as the man screamed, a smile appeared on the fat man's face as he started walking towards the man. The grin on his face was growing every second as he approached him.
"What did you say?" asked the fat man, smiling, in a very creepy voice
"I called you a bastard, a bastard! Ptui!" the man immediately screamed in his face before spitting right on the fat man's face
Caught unprepared, the fat man was immediately hit by the man's spit, as it hit right on his face.
His expression immediately changed into that of a devil, as he pulled out tissue out of his pocket, wiping his face.
"Now, now, i think you didn't suffer enough so far. You even spat on me….bad child!"
Just as his voice resounded, the fat man immediately unsheathed a big butcher knife from his back. With a few swipes, the man was immediately dismembered into a few parts accompanied by a few heart wrenching cries. After the man finished, he pulled another tissue and started cleaning his butcher knife, ignoring everyone else as he wiped it clean.
The slaves and the people watching were terrified, not saying a word. The slaves immediately moved forward before lining up, not letting even a sound out of their mouths.
"Butcher, i told you so many times, don't discipline your slaves in front of our customers. We'll get a bad reputation because of you.." said Pulse in a cold tone, as he shook his head, unbothered by the sight
Getting reprimanded, Butcher could only nod as he looked at the man in front of him with respect.
Seeing that none of the Dimensional Merchants were bothered by the sight, Wang Tao was stupefied. These people were cruel, not something a human was capable of.
He even wondered for a moment if the apparition of these Dimensional Merchants was a good thing or not.
Kiki and Fire who were by his side, cowered beside him, trembling slightly. Feeling their fear, Wang Tao patted them, letting them relax slightly.
This scene attracted the attention of Pulse, who looked at him with admiration.
"I'm surprised you actually tamed a Baby Kikiyaon so soon, boy. Are you a Beast Tamer?"
Looking at the man in amazement for figuring out his class so easily, Wang Tao could only nod.
"Not bad, the Kikiyaons are incredibly strong once matured but they are really hard to get, especially a baby. You are lucky!" said Pulse with respect in his eyes as he looked at Wang Tao
Hearing the words Baby Kikiyaon, Butcher immediately ran with an excited face towards Wang Tao, all the fat on his body trembling with each step.
"How much do you want for it?!" asked Butcher with excitement as he looked at Wang Tao, his eyes inspecting Kiki who was hidden behind him
His question startled Wang Tao for a moment, but he immediately gritted his teeth.
"I'm sorry, sir, but Kiki is my partner and we are a family. She's not for sale!"
Even though he knew that his refusal might anger the other, and the man was incredibly strong, he still refused! Kiki and Fire were his family and he won't give up on his family members, even if the other is a God!
Butcher's face changed a few times, but he gave a sigh of regret. A smile appeared on his face soon after, before he extended his hand towards Wang Tao.
"I'm Butcher, i am a Dimensional Merchant who deals with slaves and beasts. If you ever need another beast or a slave, you can find me! I have beasts from the lowest Hellhound to the mythical Unicorns, as long as you have the money, anything is possible!" he said in a business manner as he looked at Wang Tao with appreciation
Honest people who cared about their families were well-liked by everyone, even by a cold-blooded slave trader like Butcher.
Shaking his hand, Wang Tao heaved a sigh of relief in his heart.
'Thank god I haven't angered this demon…'
"Okay guys, we're done with our introductions. It's time to rebuild this city now. Let's get to work, everyone!"
As soon as Pulse's words ended, the people behind him started disappearing in different directions. From the portal, even more footsteps could be heard as a big group of a thousand small sized people holding hammers, shovels and different utilities came.
Looking at the small people who barely reached a man's waist, Wang Tao was intrigued.
He immediately checked their information before a stunned look appeared on his face.
"Dwarf Worker - Level 10. Dwarfs are the best builders and blacksmiths from the world of Apos. There's nothing they can't build or repair."
'Even Dwarfs exist….this world is so strange. But how is it possible that mythological creatures that were supposedly existing only in Fables and Fantasy books appear one after the other now? Is this something related to that voice from back then? Our God? Did we get this information from him through some other means to teach humanity about all these things from other worlds..? If that's true…are we gonna meet dinosaurs, dragons, demons and gods in the future?! This is so weird…' thinking so far, Wang Tao's head hurt before he shook his head, no longer trying to pry on this topic
But what he didn't know that his deduction was closer to the truth than he would ever think!
The fact that the world changed, the fantasy books, the 'imagination' some people had towards such mysterious entities and mythological beasts, was it really just 'imagination' as some believe? Or was it information sent by a higher entity to warn them about other worlds? However, nobody will know the answers until the future..
