As the clock approached 8 o'clock in the evening, the group concluded their meal, and Shirou made preparations to bid his farewell.

"Um... um... hold on... just a moment, Fujimaru-sama," Gray suddenly raised her head, her voice filled with timidity as she called out to him.

Curious, he asked, "What's on your mind, young lady?"

Trembling slightly, Gray mustered her courage and hesitantly continued, "Um... it's just... earlier, you mentioned something about the Tower of Light..."

Before she could finish her sentence, he interjected, a hint of amusement in his voice, "Ah, that. It seems there's been a misunderstanding. I never said anything about that."

"Huh? Is... is that so?" Gray fought back the urge to bolt away.

"Yes," He nodded and his gaze landed on Gray's stunning face. "Make sure you cherish your friend and don't let anyone snatch it away."

"Okay...?" Gray nodded hesitantly, then pulled her hood down.

Shirou glanced at Waver. "Well, I guess I'll be on my way, Waver,"

Waver nodded.

Reines flashed a smile and asked, "Do you want me to accompany you, Fujimaru-sama?"

She was merely being polite, yet to her astonishment, he nodded and replied, "That would be great, thank you."

Reines: "..."

Does this person have any noble upbringing at all?

Eventually, Reines and Shirou walked back to the hotel in silence.

During the journey, Reines glanced at him and asked, "Fujimaru-sama, can I ask you something? I..."

"You can't," He refused without hesitation.

Reines: "????"

Shouldn't the response have been "yes" in this situation?

I mean, whether they were being distant or indifferent, it would have been more appropriate to answer with a simple "yes," wouldn't it?

Who refuses so directly like that?

And without hesitation!

It's so infuriating!

"Please pull over here," he abruptly requested.

The driver complied, bringing the car to a halt, and Shirou stepped out, making his way into a nearby jewelry store. Inside, he purchased a pendant adorned with a hexagram design before heading back to the car.

Reines caught a glimpse of the hexagram pendant in Shirou's hand and let out a soft chuckle. "I never imagined Fujimaru-sama would have an interest in these little trinkets. It may appear mysterious, but in truth, it's just a beautifully crafted piece without any true mystique."

"I won't be able to sleep tonight if I don't get something and bring it back."

She was caught off guard and asked, "Why is that?"

"Have you ever looked after young children, Miss Reines?"

"No, I haven't."

"Then there's no point in discussing it. If someone mentions something you haven't personally experienced, it's hard to truly understand its significance," He explained before closing his eyes.

Reines wore a puzzled expression. How did it end up with him asking her questions instead of the other way around?

As they reached the hotel and stepped out of the car, he turned to face Reines and expressed his gratitude, saying, "Miss Reines, I want to commend you for acting as my shield today. And I must say, you did an excellent job."

Reines's mouth twitched, her frustration mounting. It was the first time in her life that she felt an overwhelming desire to punch someone!

"As a gesture of appreciation, let me offer you some advice."

"What kind of advice?"

"A fox that bares its fangs is the least threatening fox. That's all I have to share. Goodbye."  He turned and walked away.

Observing Shirou's figure fade into the distance, she furrowed her brows and took a moment to think. Soon, her face twisted with anger, and she clenched her teeth tightly as she muttered, "That guy... Is he mocking me, implying that I'm a cunning fool who falls into her own traps? Damn it! If I ever lay my hands on him, he'll regret underestimating me!"

She crumpled the handkerchief in her hand, then swiftly drove away in her car.

...

Shirou stepped back into his room, finding Arcueid already waiting for him with a pout and a displeased expression.

"You're not going out to have some fun?" He asked.

She responded unhappily, "If you don't take me out to play, I won't talk to you! Hmph!"

To emphasize her discontent, she pulled a silly face at him.

He retrieved the pendant from his pocket and handed it to her, "This is for you. I bought it specifically with you in mind."

Her eyes widened in surprise, "Really?"

"I took care of my errands already. I spent six hours wandering around and roamed through twelve streets just to find this pendant, which I believe suits the Legendary True Ancestor."

"Six hours and twelve streets?" Her grip on the pendant tightened.

He nodded and continued, "We're good friends, aren't we? And Arcueid, you're incredibly intelligent and capable, always helping me out. I wanted to properly show my appreciation. So, are you still upset with me? You shouldn't be, right? The True Ancestor of Legend shouldn't harbor such a small grudge, isn't that right?"

"Hehehe... Of course, I'm not angry! Kukuku... Play with me!" She exclaimed, her face lighting up with a radiant smile.

"Not today, I'm exhausted. Perhaps next time."

"Well... alright then. I'll allow you to rest today!" She clutched the pendant and hurriedly dashed out of the room, her smile beaming brightly.

"Kids," He muttered under his breath, shaking his head with a slight chuckle.

Shirou didn't even bother taking a shower. He simply lay down on the bed and entered the dream as the Eternal King.

Without wasting a moment, he activated his Clairvoyance EX and joined the Clairvoyance Chat Group.

"Hey, lowly mongrel. It's pretty weird to see you using the Clairevoyance so often now when you hardly ever touch it. Could it be that you're getting hooked on gazing at my flawless and perfect body? Hahaha!" Gilgamesh chuckled heartily.

Shirou scrunched up his face in disgust, "You bastard! You never have anything good to say, do you? Quit blabbering! I've got something important to discuss with all of you!"

"Huh?" Gilgamesh glanced at the stone tablet, taking a bite of a delicious apple. Paying little attention to the ministers bowing before him, he lazily plopped onto the throne, sporting a contented smile as he asked, "What could be so important that you need to discuss it with me?"

"It's about the year 2003. There's a chance the Age of Gods might be resurrected."

"What?!" Gilgamesh frowned, suddenly sitting upright.

"Based on your reaction, it seems that Merlin hasn't shared this information with you."

"Hmph. That Incubus is always using Clairvoyance to gaze at a sea of flowers and pondering the meaning of life. Prior to your debut with Clairvoyance, that guy only knew how to count days. Definitely not as fulfilling as using the Clairvoyance to peer into the future."

At that moment, Merlin interjected with a hint of helplessness, "I've been locked away in my stone tower, my vision limited to the expanse of flowers. My apologies, King Gilgamesh. Furthermore, those were isolated incidents, statistically speaking, mere coincidences. I didn't deem it necessary to mention."

"Foolish mongrel! Neglecting to address minor matters will inevitably result in catastrophic consequences!" Gilgamesh scolded.

"I agree with Gilgamesh, Merlin. What's even more crucial is that even gods have descended, and yet you failed to inform me!"

Gilgamesh frowned and questioned, "Wait, so you're saying the Gods actually came down in 2003? What exactly went down during that time? And what about that Caster? Where is he now? Just before I died in the Holy Grail, he managed to copy a whole bunch of my treasures! I want to know where he is!"

Shirou thought to himself, he's right here!

"Forget about Caster for now. I need your Clairvoyance to help me see into the future more clearly!
