Chapter 173.1: Chapter 173 Part 1

Yaoniang handed over a piece of paper. It was top-quality Chengxin paper

There are a few lines of words written on it in the Yan calligraphy style. The calligraphy wasn’t excellent, but the words were neat and tidy:

What an evening this is, rowing the boat on the river.

What a day today is, I have the chance to share the same boat with the prince.

Feeling unworthy of your adoration, yet I am not shamed by the mockeries.

Endless fluctuations in my heart: I made acquaintance with the prince.

There are trees on the mountain, and branches on the trees.

My heart desires for the Lord yet the Lord does not know.

This translated poem was called “Song of the Yue Boatman”. It was said that when Gentleman E from the State of Chu, was out boating in a foreign country, a local girl in charge of rowing the oars sang him this song. Gentleman E asked someone to translate it into the Chu language and it has since been used by women to express their affection to men.

The last time Yaoniang copied a love poem, Jin Wang was jealous. Although she had already explained herself clearly, Jin Wang still kept the matter in his heart. Every now and then, he would mention it, so Yaoniang thought to copy a poem for him.

It was a pity that her handwriting wasn’t good, so it took longer than expected to copy it down. She had to sneak around for many days before she was satisfied with what she wrote. Yaoniang hid it secretly and planned to pick a good day to give it to him. Today, when she saw that he was angry again, she decided to give this to him. He would definitely be very happy to see it.

One had to admit that Yaoniang had a pretty good trick up her sleeve.

Unfortunately, this little trick of hers had long been exposed to Jin Wang. This piece of paper, which she believed to be well hidden, had been secretly taken out by Jin Wang and read several times already. So trying to use it to coax Jin Wang into forgiving her would be underestimating Jin Wang.

Jin Wang read the paper calmly. Peeking at his expression, Yaoniang couldn’t help but feel a little apprehensive.

“You wrote a wrong word.” Jin Wang said suddenly.

“Ah? Which word?”

Yaoniang came up to look at it with a serious expression on her face. Jin Wang wasn’t lying to her and pointed at the word ‘fluctuations’.

There were many strokes in this character, and Yaoniang happened to have written one less.

“It is wrong!” Yaoniang couldn’t help feeling disappointed as if she had failed an exam.

If only she didn’t make this error. This was because she made an agreement with Jin Wang that she would be punished every time she wrote an incorrect word.

Yaoniang couldn’t remember exactly how it began. From what she could remember, it had always been like this. So every time Yaoniang wrote characters with a lot of strokes in them, she would double-check twice before showing it to Jin Wang. She didn’t expect that there would be a mistake this time and she also clearly remembered that she had read over it several times.

“Are you going, or should benwang go?”

Go to do what?

Of course, it was to get a ruler.

For every word she missed, she would be hit three times. Yaoniang was a little trepidatious because every time Jin Wang used the ruler, it wasn’t to hit her hands but that place. She couldn’t help feeling embarrassed every time.

“Why don’t we do it another day? It’s getting late. We should rest now.”

Jin Wang stared at her.

Yaoniang felt a little awkward being stared at like that and changed her words. “Then why don’t you hit the palm of my hand? You don’t need to worry about hitting too hard because worst comes to worst I just won’t write for a few days.”

Jin Wang continued to stare at her.

Yaoniang knew she couldn’t escape her fate today, so she reluctantly climbed up onto the bed and laid there like a dead log.

“Fine. Go ahead.”

After speaking, Yaoniang waited with bated breath, but there was no movement from Jin Wang’s side.

She turned her head to look at him curiously and saw him sitting there, looking at her with a strange gaze.

“No.”

She covered her butt intuitively but Jin Wang didn’t make a move and only looked at her.

“You, you, you are too lewd. How could you think of such an improper thing?” Yaoniang scolded him with her face blushing and her ears red.

The thing was Jin Wang hasn’t been licentious for only a day or two. His face may look serious, but only Yaoniang knew whether he was serious or not.

“If you don’t plan on resting tonight, you can continue to waste time. Either way is the same to Benwang.”

Despite Jin Wang’s words, either way was not the same to him. He was skilled at making Yaoniang behave. Seeing how he was talking nonsense with his eyes wide open, it was obvious he still held a grudge from earlier.

Fine, fine. Yaoniang buried her face into the soft blankets and stretched out her hands to lower her pants halfway.

“Alright. Come over.”

Then Jin Wang finally approached her.

The soft meat was as smooth as jade, like the best silken tofu.

With a gentle poke, the tender meat quivered.

“Ah…”

She moaned in surprise, her voice soft and captivating.

Lying against her jade-white bottom was a scarlet petal made of the finest rouge tears. Rouge tears, as the name suggests, was a flawless piece of jade the colour of rouge.

It was originally hidden in Jin Wang’s private library. A few days ago, Jin Wang ordered someone to find it and make it into a pendant for Yaoniang. Yaoniang really liked it, but what Jin Wang liked wasn’t the beautiful jade, but the beauty in front of him.

The dark brown ruler struck again, making a soft slap sound and Yaoniang shook again.
