The tufts of her pink hair were all gathered together around her nape.

「A, a-our mermaid country were attacked by the fishmen! We resisted at first but the fishmen were too strong and they captured our Queen and her guards. Thefishmen stormed the country and demanded all the citizens to be subjected to slavery.」

「Almighty one, please postpone your journey towards the dark sea and help us subjugate those rebels.」
The mermaid finished her talk and lowered her head to beg desperately. She placed her forehead and her hands to the ground and bowed, pleading as she performed a perfect dogeza1.
I did not expect the mermaid to perform a dogeza in front of me. Looking closely, the mermaid is also anxious. But what does she mean about a journey towards the dark sea? I guess I’m really travelling deeper after all. And it really is the sea.
I gripped the shoulder of the pleading mermaid and she raised her head fearfully.
