"Tough it up for now. Remember to take up a good footwork technique after this." Saying this, Shu Yidan began the long walk up the stairs.
There was only the sound of him and Xiaoyi shuffling up the stairs, but Xiaoyi opened her mouth once more.
"Fellow apprentice brother, can I ask you a question?" Xiaoyi's voice pressed on his ears.
Shu Yidan ignored it.
"Elder brother Shu, listen to me!?" Xiaoyi didn't stop her attempts.
Shu Yidan lightly hummed, without paying attention to her.
"Geez! Senior brother Shu!" Xiaoyi finally gave in.
"Ah, my junior sister Xiaoyi! What do you wish to ask?" Shu Yidan finally said with an easy smile.
"This is unfair! I trained for longer under Master's guidance!" Pouting, Xiaoyi glumly said.
"Ah yes my little junior sister, you certainly trained for longer under Master's guidance." Shu Yidan's teasing caused her to flash her teeth like a cat, as if raring to bite him. "So what did you want to ask me?"
"Well… Is it truly possible for me to battle Nascent Souls at the Qi Refining Realm?" Xiaoyi's question was filled with disbelief. While her fellow apprentice had said that it was possible, even suggesting a clear-cut way to do so, it still seemed hard to think of.
"Well, not with that attitude." Shu Yidan smirked before seriously replying, "I'll repeat this:
"A truly ridiculous amount of requirements need to be fulfilled before you can even think of battling a Nascent Soul."
