As Gu Siyi was still hesitating, Lu Jiaye, who came out of the private room, saw her, raised his hand, and said, “Hi, sister, you’re here too.” This call made Xia Zhijun and the girl next to him look back at her at the same time.

Gu Siyi smiled nervously and said, “It’s a coincidence, I came over for dinner with my parents.”

When Gu Siyi’s eyes met the girl, she found her staring right back.

The girl wore short, refreshing, western-style hair. She wasn’t tall or short. She wore a denim skirt and slim short sleeves. Her figure was full, protruding forward and backward. They both looked around the same age.

Lu Jiaye introduced them to each other, pointing at Gu siyi. “This is Ah Jun’s united and friendly little dimple sister. ” When pronouncing the ‘dimple’, he deliberately hinted heavily on the words and glanced narrowly at Xia Zhijun.

Gu Siyi didn’t understand the deeper meaning of the words and was confused about his introduction so she decided to introduce herself. “Hello, I am classmates with them, my name is Gu Siyi.”

The girl was so amused by the sentence that she started laughing lightly. “Hello, classmate, do you want to shake hands?”

“…” Gu Siyi had a feeling that the girl was close to Xia Zhijun, so to show some face, even if she heard the ridicule, she stretched out her hand. The girl laughed, even more, this time and didn’t shake it back. Gu Siyi’s hand stayed in the air, a bit awkwardly, she was about to withdraw it silently when Xia Zhijun suddenly raised his hand, grabbed her wrist, pulled her to his side, and said, “Don’t pay attention to her.”

Lu Jiaye continued before any further actions were made. “This is Zheng Peipei, the wild sister of Ah Jun’s childhood sweetheart.”

“Wild sister!” Zheng Peipei held her hands in front of her mouth as if she was shocked.

Xia Zhijun ignored the noisy two and pulled Gu Siyi to the side. “Your parents are here?”

“Yeah.” Gu Siyi nodded while looking down, noticing his slender white fingers grabbing onto her wrists, his palms were soft and dry.

Xia Zhijun let go and said, “You take me over, and I will say hello to my uncle and aunt.”

As Lu Jiaye and Zheng Peipei watched them leave. She crossed her arms and frowned. “What’s the matter with this little dimple sister? Is she a relative of Ah Jun?”

She raised her eyebrows when she saw him holding her wrist, which was quite rare.

Although they had little chance to meet each other in the past two years when her family moved away, she clearly remembered Xia Zhijun, a heartthrob, particularly annoyed girls who wanted to get close to him.

Lu Jiaye sighed, “A clear sibling relationship without any blood relationship. Their two parents have a good relationship.” He was trying to convince himself as well as Zheng Peipei.

Gu Zhiyaun and Xu Jiahui were surprised to find their daughter returning from the bathroom with Xia Zhujin.

“Uncle, Auntie.” He greeted politely

The parents hurriedly got up to return the greeting and quickly beckoned to the waiter to bring another serving of food.

Xia Zhujin held his hands up gently. “Thank you, but I’ve already eaten. I ate here with my friends a few moments ago. It just so happened that we were dining in the same place.”

Regardless of his words, Gu Zhiyuan gestured for him to take a seat, Xia Zhijun sat down responsively at Gu Zhiyuan’s greeting.

Gu Siyi sat aside and watched Xia Zhijun chatting with her parents, with 11 million admirations in his heart.

She herself didn’t know how to deal with her parents, so seeing him talk to them with such ease brought relief to her heart, not to mention that she didn’t want to delay him and his little partner.

Gu Siyi leaned slowly in to listen into the conversation, they were talking about school learning and education. It was his strong suit, he was as smooth as a spring breeze.

After about half an hour of non-stop conversation, Xia Zhijun was interrupted by a phone call mid-sentence. He declined it out of politeness, but Gu Siyi knew she had to say something to let him receive it. She turned to her parents after not talking for so long.

“He has friends waiting for him, so don’t pull him into talking for too long.” The parents nodded in agreement and got up to part ways with him.

When the two parties bid farewell, Gu Zhiyuan asked Xia Zhijun which private room he was in to help him settle the bill. Xia Zhijun did not refuse but instead accepted with a smile. Gu Zhiyuan felt more comfortable. He was afraid that the little boy would not accept his kindness.

After the family got into a taxi not too long after, Gu Zhiyuan laughed to himself calmly. “The tiger father can not have a dog son, this little son has a bright future.”

Xu Jiahui joined in. “High IQ, high EQ, and a good family background, a one in a million good seed.”

Gu Zhiyuan turned to Gu SIyi to give her some advice. “You and Xia Zhijun are classmates. Keep a good relationship with him. This will be a noble person in the future.”

In the past, when Gu Siyi heard them praise other people’s children, she would impatiently find a few faults, but this time she couldn’t find any. After all, the achievements of the study god were clear. All she could feel was a heartfelt admiration.

The last day of military training marked the first day of school learning. It was the true beginning of education. In the first class of Monday morning, the headteacher brought a girl into the classroom and said, “This young woman will be your new classmate, her name is Zheng Peipei.”

Gu Siyi: “…”

Isn’t that the short-haired girl she saw at the restaurant that day? Was she the classmate that never showed up?

There was only one empty seat left in the class which happened to be beside herself. So systematically Zheng Peipei walked beside her and sat down with a clear smirk on her face.

“Hey, baby. We meet again.” Greeted Zheng Peipei rudely.

Gu Siyi: “…” I am not young at all, I am taller than you!

She gave a polite smile without turning to her. “So you were my absent desk-mate, good to know.” There was a hint of aggressiveness in Gu Siyi’s voice.

Zheng Peipei responded while twirling a hair strand. “The military training is too tiring and I didn’t want to participate. This is the ideal time to join.”

Gu Siyi almost rolled her eyes. Awesome, ignoring school discipline and coming whenever she wanted, she is indeed Xia Zhijun’s childhood sweetheart.

Li Shaohong stood on the podium to give his morning speech almost directly after this interaction. “I don’t arrange seats. As long as the two parties agree on which position you want to sit in. I don’t want you to spend your precious time and energy running in with your new classmates. You have the right to choose who you are familiar with and who is helpful to your study.

Gu Siyi was a little surprised at this set of rules, and then she admired it. Maybe this is the difference between key middle schools and normal ones.

“Next, I will appoint class leaders for this semester.” Li Shaohong turned over her lesson plan and turned to write on the podium.

Monitor: Lan Xiaoqiu

Deputy monitor: Zhang Kailun

Learning member: Xia Zhijun

Sports committee member: Zhou Xiao

Health Committee Member: Lu Jiaye

Literary and Art Committee: Su Han

Youth League Secretary: Zheng Peipei

The names of a series of class cadres were written down, but the four members in the middle were the most eye-catching.
