Ning Zhi’s lips curved upward. “Let me go look for a pair of scissors. I will be right back.”
All there were in Lu Jue’s room were his bed, dresser, a desk and a chair. It was very empty. Anything sharp like knives or scissors had been removed by Mother Lu a long time ago.
Ning Zhi went looking for a pair of scissors outside the room.
When she reached the first floor, there were only two servants there cleaning.
Ning Zhi walked over to the kitchen. Nobody is inside the kitchen at this hour. She located a pair of scissors on a shelf and spent 30 little suns for 30 minutes of materialization time.
She had 300 little suns in her little storage. There was no worries that she would run out of them.
Ning Zhi quietly picked up the pair of scissors while there was nobody around. Anyone who saw it would be startled by a pair of scissors floating in the air.
The door to Lu Jue’s room was ajar. The male nurse was bending over picking up the pills there had fallen onto the ground. Lu Jue had knocked the bottom over during the struggle earlier.
Ning Zhi quickly put away the pair of scissors inside the bathroom when the nurse was not looking. She walked over to hold Lu Jue’s hand when she came back out.
As though it was a reflex, Lu Jue jerked away from Ning Zhi’s hand.
“Do you not like me holding your hand?” Ning Zhi didn’t push it. “Let’s go into the bathroom. I’ll cut your hair for you.”
She held onto Lu Jue’s clothes instead. “Let’s go.”
Lu Jue’s lips were pinched shut. He looked at the girl’s hand that was holding onto his clothes and his lips shut even tighter. What Ning Zhi didn’t see was the aggrieved look on Lu Jue in his hidden eyes.
The male nurse saw Lu Jue walking toward the bathroom when he looked up.
After tossing away the medicines, the nurse walked over to the entrance of the bathroom. He was to guard Lu Jue from there.
The bathroom door was closed the very next second.
Ning Zhi brought Lu Jue over to in front of the vanity sink by his clothes.
There was a huge mirror there and the entire bathroom was reflected in it.
There was a soft yellow light next to the mirror, making it look even brighter. One could clearly see one’s pores in it.
There were no chairs inside the bathroom. Standing in front of the vanity, Ning Zhi faced Lu Jue and said, “Lu Jue, you are too tall. Lower your head some, please.”
Lu Jue didn’t move. Ning Zhi was very patient and she stood on her tiptoes.
“Don’t worry. I am very good at this.”
She picked up the pair of scissors that she had placed there earlier and started working on Lu Jue’s fringes.
The two of them were very close to each other. Lu Jue’s lips were shut tightly. The hint of fragrance that he could detect from his nose was amazing.
