Chapter 329 Rocinante

As Ambrose continued dodging Mars' deadly blows, his exhaustion started to become even more visible. Unfortunately, the countless deaths didn't reset his stamina bar.

He was already exhausted about five hours ago, but now he felt like passing out in a moment, and he knew that by passing out, he would be locked out of the game for 10 hours as a safety measure.

As he stepped backwards, he noticed the ground below him turn wet.

He turned around, and his eyes widened in shock as he saw Adam's separated corpse beside his foot.

"Adam..." Ambrose's whispered in shock, as he didn't expect someone as strong as him to ever die.

After that, he also saw Tyrannus' beheaded head with a shocked expression plastered on his face.

'So, you managed to kill your enemy...' Ambrose's eyes softened, and he drew a quick cross on his chest as a sign of respect. 'Congratulations, and rest well.'

Before starting his final plan, he wanted to see whether Adam could come and help him in the fight. He would be an extremely powerful ally to have, and he hoped he would survive Tyrannus.

Still, Tyrannus' death was a very good outcome, even though it needed Adam's death.

'I hoped he would survive, but now that it isn't the case...' Ambrose took a deep breath. 'It's time to try that.'

It was a crazy plan, but it seemed to be their only hope.

'Bonney, do you hear me?'

'I do.' Bonney's voice echoed inside his mind.

'You may leave.' Ambrose spoke inside his mind. 'You can return to Breast Island to your sisters. Thank you for your help.'

'I promised to help you till the end. Mars is not dead yet!' Bonney's voice was unwavering. 'Since the poison didn't work, I have been waiting for the best time to strike him in the back.'

'That won't be necessary.' Ambrose said inside his mind. 'You have to leave the island now or you might die.'

'...' The voice stayed quiet for a while, but then she said. 'All right... fine... Be safe out there, okay?'

'Roger...' Ambrose then used Formlessness and grabbed Leon from his collar, then lifted him into the air and carried him away.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Leon asked as he saw them flying further away from Mars.

"I have a plan!" Ambrose shouted. "Can you set sail? I'll bring others!"

"Are we escaping?" Leon asked in shock. "We are still under a slave contract. We can never escape!"

"Not escaping!" Ambrose shouted with a smirk.

They soon arrived at the Black Heart ship with black sails and three towering masts.

After Leon landed on the deck near the helm, he used the last strength of his legs to pull the anchor out of the water.

Ambrose then touched the deck and placed Temporary Spawn on it.

After that, he shot back to the island with Formlessness and saw Zero lashing at Mars with the crimson tendrils. Jake and Ors were just helping him in any way they could.

As Mars threw another fire-coated punch, Ambrose snatched Jake and Ors and started carrying them towards the ship.

"Ambrose?!" Jake and Ors turned to Ambrose in shock.

"What are you doing?!" They asked in unison.

"I have a plan!" Ambrose shouted.

They nodded, but there was confusion in their features. They had no idea what Ambrose was planning to do.

After dropping Jake and Ors to the deck, he flew back to the fight and grabbed Zero by his collar before starting to carry him towards the ship.

"Planning to escape?" Mars scoffed and jumped after Ambrose with incredible agility and strength.

Zero silently looked towards Ambrose and narrowed his eyes into a glare.

"I have a plan. You can understand me, do you?" Ambrose looked at Zero and wondered whether he was still the same person they had grown to know or someone different.

Zero nodded slightly and turned his gaze to the ship.

At that moment, Ambrose turned to look towards the corpses strewn on the island and felt conflicted. He didn't want to leave his friends there without proper burial.

Seeing that look, Zero used his crimson tendrils and snatched all the corpses from the ground before carrying them with them.

Ambrose showed a surprised look before a faint smile appeared on his face. They then continued their flight to the ship.

As soon as they landed on the deck, Ambrose shouted. "Set sail!"

"A-Ambrose..." At that moment, a weak sound came from the deck.

Ambrose turned his gaze to the others as he was looking behind him to see the sign of Mars, and when he finished turning his head around, his eyes widened in shock.

On the deck, Jake and Ors were lying with a pool of blood around them. Leon was clutching his waist with a rusty sword sticking out of his body.

"W-what happened?" Ambrose asked in shock.

Zero shot the crimson tendrils towards the roof of the ship, and from there, a skeleton figure appeared and dodged the tendrils easily.

"Who the..." Ambrose's eyes turned red out of anger. "Who the fuck are you?!"

"My name is Rocinante." The skeleton spoke with an eerie voice. "Nice to meet you, The Last One."

Ambrose gritted his teeth and quickly went to Ors, crouching beside him.

"Ors, are you all right?!"

"Cough..." Ors coughed blood, and his grip on his polearm loosened. "F-fuck..."

"Ors!"

"I-If you get the chance..." Ors coughed up blood and whispered painfully one last time. "I-If you meet any of the Anti-Christ cult members... kill... them..."

His eyes finally turned blank, and his body went limp.

Ors died!

"God damn it..." Ambrose then rushed towards Jake, who was writhing in agony.

"Ambrose..." Jake saw the black-haired young man crouch beside him and felt tears appear in his eyes.

When he looked towards the sky, he saw the shimmering stars, even though it was already a bright blue sky. He could feel that the stars were calling for him.

"Stars are waiting for me... It's end for me..."

"Don't you fucking say that!" Ambrose covered Jake's bloodied wounds as well as he could, but the blood gushed out like tidal waves. "Fuck!"

"R-remember the promise?" Jake asked painfully. "Y-you can't let Mars or this skeleton... have it..."

Ambrose's eyes widened in shock as he saw Jake's body starting to shine like a brilliant star in the sky.

"Use it..." Jake whispered painfully. "The... fragment is... yours..."

At that moment, Jake's body vanished into a tiny particles and a small star-shaped fragment appeared, landing on Ambrose's hand.

It was the star fragment.

Ambrose closed his eyes, grabbed the star fragment tightly, and then stored it inside his inventory.

He then slammed his eyes open, his eyes bloodshot.

"Leon, can you set sail?!"

"Yeah!" Leon screamed and pulled the rusty sword out of his body. He screamed in pain, but most of the scream came from the anger of seeing more of his friends die.

"Good!" Ambrose shot into the air using Formlessness, immediately grabbed Rocinante by his fleshless throat, and started to squeeze as they both flew towards the island.

"How angry." Rocinante pointed its skeleton hand towards the ship and summoned the rusty sword back to its grip.

The rusty sword flew across the air like a comet and landed on Rocinante's hand.

Rocinante then stabbed the rusty sword through Ambrose's waist and said, "You will be coming with me."

"No..." Ambrose whispered and then angrily smiled. "You are coming with me."

Rocinante's facial expression showed that it was somewhat curious.

Ambrose saw Mars in the distance, smashed Rocinante's skeleton body into his golden body, and crashed both of them into the ground.

"Urgh!" Mars cried out and tried to punch through the skeleton man, but shockingly, his punch didn't break through the bones. "The hell?" nove/lb/1n

"You two will be coming with me!" Ambrose shouted and reached out into his inventory.

From there, he took out a glowing pearl.

It was the Sky Fall!

"Activate!" Ambrose screamed.

At that moment, the entire island started glowing like the brightest lightbulb, and then, shockingly, the Sea King island vanished entirely.
