Chapter 369: The Disappointed Jane

"How did you love my surprise?" Jackson asked with a smile on his face.
"I love it as much as I love you," Jasmine said as she embraced him. It was after they hugged that it dawned on Jane that all the messages that made her happy were not meant for her.
Jackson smile broaden when he heard her words. He released her shortly.
"I am curious, how did you know I was gonna pay you a surprise visit during lunch hour?" Jasmine asked curiously as she let her eyes wander about the well-decorated rooftop. She knew that it must have taken at least two hours to make the rooftop looks so beautiful.
"Of course I knew that you would come because I am the one who told Catherine to convince you to pay me a surprise visit. I had everything prepared about two hours to lunchtime," Jackson replied as he turned to face his employees who had kept quiet after they started talking.
"The surprise wouldn't have been complete without them," Jackson said. His eyes moved from one giggling employee to another.
"Thank you so much guys for the surprise. I am so happy I got to spend my birthday with each one of you," Jasmine thanked them in a polite tone. They all smile at her to show that her appreciation was well received.
After this, three ladies came out each with huge shopping bags.
"On behalf of all of us here we present these gifts to you. Although the gifts are not that quite expensive it contains our sincerity and well wishes. May you and our CEO always be happy," The lady in the middle spoke before the three of them handed the gifts to Jasmine.
Jasmine turned to stare at Jackson with a piercing glance.
"I am innocent, I did not tell them to get you any gifts. I am surprised as you are to see this. If you don't believe me you can ask them," Jackson quickly defended himself.
"Madam, our boss is saying the truth. One of us found out about your birthday and that is how we began deliberating on what to give you for your birthday...,"
"See, I was telling the truth," Jackson said with a huge sense of humour. All his employees could not resist laughing at his funny tone and expression.
"Thank you so much everyone for the gifts. I feel extremely loved and happy," Jasmine said with a smile.
"I also have a gift for all of you. I will give Max my card. Whatever you guys plan on doing be it shopping, organizing a party, grabbing dinner at an expensive restaurant and so on. You can use the card to pay for all your expenses," Jasmine said to the delight of everyone. The laughter and cheering died down when Jackson turned and stare at them.
When she saw them abruptly kept quiet, Jasmine shift her gaze to stare at the man standing beside her. She understood what happened after seeing his fierce glares.
"Guys, there is no need to get intimidated by his glares because this is my gift for you. My man has a big heart he would never act petty because I want you guys to celebrate my birthday," Jasmine said while staring at Jackson. His fierce glare changed to a soft one after he heard her praises.
"I will discharge all of you early from work so you all can do whatever you want with her gift," Jackson said the words they had wanted to hear all this while.
"Thank you, Boss and Madam,", Everyone chorused. Nobody paid attention to Jane. In fact, all her colleagues had forgotten that her birthday was today also.
"Jack, how could you do this to me?" The sad Jane asked forgetting that they were many people there.
It was after Jane spoke that others realised that she was there. All eyes focused on Jane.
"What did my man do to you, tell me and I will apologise to you on his behalf. That's if what he did requires an apology," Jasmine spoke before Jackson could talk.
Jane glared at Jasmine after she finished talking.
"And who said you could talk while I am talking...,"
"Who the heck are you to dictate what I should do and what I shouldn't?" Jasmine snapped rudely. Jane wanted to say something despicable but when her eyes met her colleagues' eyes she decided to withdraw.
"I don't have a problem with you working in the same office with my man despite knowing that you have feelings for him but I advise that you keep your distance from him. I can be very pleasant but also mean depending on the situation," Jasmine said her once happy smile disappearing. Jasmine turned to face everyone after she had passed her message to Jane.
"Guys, I will take my man away from you guys. Don't forget to have tons of fun after you all have gotten off work," Jasmine said in a pleasant tone.

"I hate you, Jasmine Avans. I despise you and I will make sure you suffer for the humiliation you caused me today," Jane screamed at the top of her lungs.
Jasmine and Jackson went to his office.
"So what are we going to do? Are we going for the dinner date or are we going to have some sweet time here?" Jasmine asked as she pushed him to the couch and take her position on his legs.
"Whatever you want is what we will do. Today is your birthday so I will give in to anything you want," Jackson said as he raised his hand and caress her face.
