"After the pictures of you and your ex-boyfriend acting all lovey-dovey went viral who on earth will believe you? Who out there will believe that it wasn't because of Jack's negligence that the company's confidential information got leaked?" Jane asked, her contempt visible in her eyes.
"Although you can't help him, I can. Out of thousands of lady's in this city, I am the number one lady with the best character and reputation. I have never been involved in any scandals unlike you which is always the trending topic each week," Jane said meaning to spite Jasmine but Jasmine was too interested in the solution she has to care about her spiteful words.
"I just need to say a few words and shed a few tears and all this will go away. Jack won't have to leave the company he and his father has worked so hard to build. The shareholders and investors threatening to withdraw their investment will calm down. Nobody will blame Jack for what happened again...,"
"If you are so capable then what are you waiting for? Let's go and do the goddamn press conference," Jasmine said standing up to her feet.
For Jackson and his company sake, she is willing to let go of everything including her hatred for this annoying lady.
As long as she can help him nothing else is important.
"I will help Jack but only on the condition that you leave him," Jane blurted her main purpose of coming there.
"You are crazy to ask me for such a thing! Why on earth will I leave Jackson for you? Jackson loves me...,"
"Did you say Jackson loves you?" Jane chuckled, her mockery evident in her expression.
"If he loves you so much then why didn't he call or text you since the picture of you and your ex went viral?" Jane asked as she stare at the angry lady standing in front of her.
"If I may tell you, Jack and I have been together for the three nights he didn't come home. I took good care of him and we have gotten a lot close. Close enough to kiss and...,"
"That's is a lie. Ice Prince would never do that with you. He promised me," Jasmine said confidently.
"Whether or not you believe it, I won't force you but what you should know is that Jack has realised my true worth which is why he doesn't care about you or how you feel," Jane said provocatively.
"Can you stop lying or else I will be forced to throw you out of here," Jasmine threatened coldly.
"Actually, Jasmine this is not about whether or not Jack loves you but this is a test of your love for him. You have always said you love him but I can't believe you can't do such a little thing to save the one you claim to love. Isn't that pathetic?" Jane asked as she stood up and walk closer to where Jasmine stood.
"For Jack sake, I wouldn't hesitate to give up my life for him not to mention leaving him. I can't believe your so-called love amounts to nothing...,"
"I can tolerate you insulting me but I will never tolerate you insulting the love I have for Jackson. I love him more than any woman can ever love him...,"
"Then prove it and not by just saying it," Jane challenged while staring into Jasmine's eyes.
"The board meeting for his dismissal from his position as CEO is in five hours. You have less than four hours to save him. Think about all the pains you have caused him since you have been together. How miserable he will be if he is dismissed from his position, you don't need me to tell you right?" Jane said as she picks up her handbag, put her hands inside the handbag and bring out her business card.
"If you have accepted my offer then call me. Be warned you need to leave the city or even the country before I agree to hold the press conference," Jane said as she drops her business card on the table.
She walks away elegantly and with smiles on her face.
After she left Jasmine sat down on the couch and think about all Jane has said. Although she didn't believe the majority of what Jane said, she believed that part she says she was responsible for what Jackson was going through.
Indeed, she didn't leak the confidential information but the truth is, the one who leaked the information did that to hurt her. Now Jackson also ended up suffering because of this.
Ever since I started pursuing him for the contract and even when we became a couple I have brought nothing but trouble to him. Maybe he will have less trouble to deal with if I leave just like Jane Allen wants.
Jasmine was so lost in thought to the point that she didn't see Lilian approaching her.
"Madam are you ok?" Lilian asked in a worried tone when she saw that Jasmine was in a trance.
"What is wrong?" Lilian touches her jolting Jasmine back to reality.
"Did Miss Jane upsets you? How about I call the boss to inform...,"
"Not you or anyone in the mansion is allowed to mention that Jane was here to Ice Prince. Tell your colleagues that I will deal with anyone who dares to blab about what happened," Jasmine threatened as she picked up the business card before she headed upstairs.
"I wonder what that cruel lady said to get Madam so upset early in the morning," Lilian asked, her gaze focused on Jasmine's departing back.
Jasmine locked herself up in their room. Millions of thoughts run through her mind as she sat on the couch reflecting on what has happened since she became acquainted with Jackson.
After an hour of thinking intensively, Jasmine picked up her cell phone and dialled someone's line. She waited for the recipient to answer the line.
"Steve, do you know the situation of Ice Prince company? Is it true he is going to get removed from his position as CEO?" Jasmine asked in a calm tone.
Steve previously signing a document dropped his pen on the table to fully concentrate his attention on the call.

GOAL 3: For every 10 reviews I will give 3 chapters mass release. Last year I can count the number of reviews we got with my fingers so darling readers let's achieve this goal for a change.
P.S: Since I have become an author I have never promised so many chapters as a mass release and I am sure I won't be able to promise 18 chapters as mass release ever again so guys grab this chance while you can.
