Standing with his eyes stretched wide and lips parted in astonishment, Kei gazed at the broken rubles and fallen walls of the place he used to call home.
Standing some inches apart from the construction safety barricades, Kei got instructions to move away since it was dangerous for him to stay near the building.
"What happened to this place, sir?"
With his words breaking in between, Kei asked stiffly to one of the police officers, who was keeping an eye on the public while his eyes never left the apartment.
"Hmm? The reports are uncertain, kid. You will get to know in the news tonight."
The man discarded Kei's curiosity before the latter felt a hand on his shoulder as a familiar voice consoled him.
"It's okay, man. I can't say I understand your feelings, but I share my deepest sympathy."
Ryuuta had the same expression as Kei except for the fact that he was stunned because of his sister's ruthlessness. Even though he expected such an outcome but just to keep Kei to herself, it seemed a little overdone.
Fortunately, the team that executed his sister's orders, was sane enough to evacuate the residents before they took the apartment down.
Glancing at his friend, Ryuuta advanced to what his sister asked, and he himself would have naturally done so, in such a situation.
"Hey, Kei. Let's go to my house. Until they rebuild this or compensate, you can stay there."
Kei took his bag and shook his head before turning to his left. Ryuuta followed him as he heard Kei speaking after a weary sigh.
"Nah, man. Kaori is also there. It would become awkward."
"No, it won't. There are a lot of rooms, and if she comes to know how I let you away in such a crisis, she will kill me."
Kei knows that Kaori wouldn't mind because of her feelings toward him. But still, it would be hard for him to live under the same roof with the girl who recently confessed her feelings.
And the worst part, he had to pretend to be unaware of her feelings and treat her just like a friend. Like how could he do so when this was his first time receiving a genuine proposal without any malice?
However, he didn't have any option either. In front of the world, he was an average high schooler. Despite having the money to buy another house in an instant, Kei couldn't do so, to avoid the attention.
Calculating the pros and cons, he sighed again before turning toward his friend and bowing down.
"Please let me stay at your place for a few days."
He wasn't intending to live there for long, but for now, Ryuuta's house seemed the best option.
Hearing Kei's words, Ryuuta smiled in relief, before he answered in a warming tone.
"Of course, you are welcome."

Back in the house, after Kei and Ryuuta left for the former's home, the meeting between the four ladies commenced.
Kaori asked everything about how this vampiric girl had been acting since the first day and how she got close to Kei.
Mostly Sayaka informed Kaori about these matters since she likes to put every detail in love affairs, and Kaori was intending to indeed hear everything in detail.
Since Karen was under close watch, Kei was also getting surveillance when he stayed with her. Thus, it led to the intel in which Kaori had an interest.
"Hmmm…it seems she is quite talkative as well…."
Along with hearing the information from Sayaka, Kaori hacked into Kei's personal data and went through his chats with Karen.
And she already hates this girl.
'Asking for lunch, huh…What is this bitch trying to become? His wife?!'
Despite wearing a poker face, Kaori's inner self was burning with rage as she somehow held herself from flaring. She just couldn't accept this!
She left Kei on Ryuuta's watch and went to complete her training and achieve a position where no one could harm her beloved. She did her best to become someone on whom her Kei could rely.
Thanks to the fact that Kei seemed to like being a loner and introvert, which worked as an assurance that no whore would stick around him in her absence.
And yet, when she returns, she finds that many of Kei's first time has already been taken by a random creature.

Suddenly Aoi received a notification on her phone before her face lit up. Turning to the older woman, she spoke cheerily.
"Ryuuta texted me. Mission accomplished."
Instantly the steam building over her head exhausted away as Kaori's face loosened up to hear such enthralling news. Wonderful! At least something was good about this day apart from her reuniting with her first love.
But soon, she started to panic as she realized that she would be living with her crush under the same roof.
She might be a veteran of the battlefield, but when it comes to love matters, Kaori is nothing more than a complete amateur.
Despite being a klutz in normal scenarios, Sayaka becomes dangerously observative when it comes to such passion-filled emotions.
Reading Kaori's trouble, she stepped forward and extended a hand to unite the two love birds.
"Listen, General-san. If you want to seduce Kei-kun, so he only looks at you, then follow my instruction. I bet, within a week, he would fall head over heels for you and forget all about other girls. So tell me, do you want my advice for such a wonderful future?"
Both Aoi and Hana looked at each other with panic written on their face. But it was already too late to stop the disaster.
