It's been almost two hours since Kei left her apartment. The time has been passing as it naturally should but for Karen, it seemed everything has come to an abrupt pause.
She has been sitting on the couch where she shared space with Kei until the time he disappeared. Left after leaving some words which were still stinging in her chest and making her weep uncontrollably.
With her legs folded she leaned her forehead on her knees as heavy droplets dipped down and got absorbed in her slightly drenched pajamas.
Karen has never cried this much, even the time when her mother was taken away or she felt all alone in the world.
When Kei said to give up on him and stay as far away as possible, she was ready to even beg him to give her another chance. But he didn't even wait to hear her out.
Karen never intends to profess her liking toward Kei in such a way, but in the flow of conversation she just spat it out and now she utterly loathes herself for it.
'Why did I ever dare to confess!? Even though I knew the difference between us, I thought to get closer to him? To love him? To care about him? Why the hell did I ever think that I deserve him? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? '
Her mind was in chaos as she clenched her fist in regret and rage while biting her lips hard enough to let small droplets of blood stream down her chin.
She wanted to just reverse that moment and take the time she decided to pursue him.
She was aware of how Kei has shelled himself from the rest of the world. His insecurity about new people and cautiousness toward relationships.
Karen had resolved to take things slow and mend him to like her as she does. But nothing went as she wanted and due to her own rashness, she ended up confessing her love to him just some hours ago.
"No, I can't give up on him! I have to go after him! I have to apologize and ask him to trust me! Even if it takes my life I can't give up on him! "
While babbling to herself, Karen got up from her seat and was about to launch toward the dangerous woman's house where her Kei currently was, when her irises contracted in shock.
Suddenly a black smog erupted just some step ahead of her, containing a familiar magical energy.
But contrary to her hopes, it wasn't the face who emerged from the other side of the teleportation portal. Rather it was someone Karen was looking to avoid.
"So, it's you… "

There was a lot to register which made Kaori's mind a broken mess.
First, Kei used magioles which signified that he isn't a normal human being like she has always known him for or maybe he got converted when she was away?
Either way, it was shocking enough to give her arrhythmia.
The second thing was the woman who appeared on the other side of the portal.
She was breathtakingly beautiful with platinum hair and skin which signified her being a non-human.
Despite having confidence in her looks, Kaori admits that the girl could out-match her in various fields.
Both Karen and Kaori stood in shock until the portal disappeared and the man who could quell their anxiety and curiosity appeared beside the chestnut-haired girl.
Karen's eyes blinked in surprise as she fought the urge to pinch her cheek in order to affirm this reality. Kei was actually here!
For a second Karen even assumed that Kei might have sent this dangerous human to kill her but now she rues to think of Kei as such a person he never could be.

Walking forward, Kei held Kaori's hand before he positioned her beside Karen and stood facing both women.
There was evident confusion and various emotions clouding both the beauties' faces but they decided to stay silent and let him speak first.
"I know there might be various things you guys want to ask or say. But first, let me tell you guys something about me."
Karen instinctively turned her head toward Kaori and saw the latter doing the same before they both panicked and snatched their eyes away.
Their distress and anxiety soon were outlived as Kei continued with his words which they never imagined to be the case.
"....something about my origin and from where I have arrived in this realm."
