As the buzzing sound in his pocket continued to whiz like the world was going to explode, Kei frowned profoundly.
It has been so long since he had such a great sleep with two beauties in his arms despite nothing happening last night. And here, his phone was disturbing such a paradise-like reality.
Kei was thinking about clutching his phone and breaking it inside the pants already but soon he realized that other than Kaori and Karen only one person had his number.
And since the above-mentioned two were sleeping on either side while looking so tame and beautiful, the call couldn't be from anyone but him.
Taking out the device from his pocket while trying his best to not wake Kaori, Kei widened his eyes as he saw his screen which displayed the number of missed calls from a single contact registered as Ryuuta.
**BZZ**
He was about to call back when another call from him emerged on the screen. Kei didn't think before sliding the green symbol.
"Hello, Ryuuta?"
"Kei! Finally, you picked you dumb asshole! Is my erratic sister with you?"
Kei would have replied with curses if Ryuuta's voice didn't sound so ragged and the vivid hint of concern in his voice. Kei had no idea what happened but Ryuuta wasn't worried just because he and Kaori weren't at home.
"Wait."
Saying so, Kei turned his gaze toward Kaori to wake her, only to get startled to see her parted lids gawking at him. The early morning Kaori with the slightly puffy under bags seemed extremely…
"..adorable."
Kaori glared at Kei for passing such a dishonest remark to this ugly morning self of hers before she took his phone and asked her brother what in the world happened to him.
"Ryuu? Something happened?"
"Something happened?! The Association has issued a Red Alert for your search Nee-san! The Martials have been dispatched. You should get away from Kei since that bastard heir of Kamazaki must be after him."
Kaori's gaze flickered in coldness as her heart grew numb in anger but it wasn't time to lash out. Shouting her anger wouldn't solve things, she has to move herself for that.
Thinking of what she must do first, Kaori spoke in a relatively gentler if taking her current state of mind into consideration
"First calm down, brother. I will sort things out. You stay at home and call your teammates too except for Aoi Nakamura. She better stay home now."
"Understood. But please Nee-san, don't do anything rashly."
"Mm. I won't."
As Kaori ended the call, she got up and walked up to Kei who was standing near the balcony with his right hand raised in front of his chest.
As she walked up to him, she sensed very faint mana fermenting around him as he drew some unknown ancient ruins in the air.
His eyes were turned completely white and his lips mumbled something inaudible.
Turning her head, Kaori saw Karen doing something in the open kitchen which was just after the living area. This apartment was really unique and lovely to her liking.
"Ask Ryuuta to stay at home whatever happens in the outside world. Without my permission not even God can enter that house now."
The way he said such a thing was dashing enough to urge Kaori to lean forward and kiss him right at this instance. But she has to hold back for now.
"I-I have told him to stay there. Did you cast a barrier around it?"
"Yeah, I did. I would have done so a long ago but as Karen refers, you are a dangerous person who definitely would have sensed something so minuscule too."
Kaori pouted being referred to like she was different from him as she glared at him in complaint.
Laughing slightly, Kei tucked her disheveled hair before patting her gently. The warmth was familiar, the sensation was new. However, Kaori definitely liked being treated like this by him.
Her anger which was bubbling inside subdued in an instant just because of some attention from the man she loves. He is just that good.
"Am I a maid to enjoy the show of her masters flirting around the house?"
Karen's shrill voice reached up to them, interrupting the enjoyment Kaori was having, in an instant.
Kei sighed while shaking his head as he pulled Kaori to the dining space before sliding a chair for her to sit.
With her gaze fixated on the bitchy vampire Kaori sat wordlessly as she saw Kei going to the kitchen.
"I would like to help but you know my cooking skills already."
Karen felt being victor already as Kei left Kaori's side and came to her. With a hearty smile, she picked a small sweet tomato and pressed it on Kei's lips.
Kei parted his lips and took the vegetable as he heard Karen speaking in a much calmer tone.
"Yeah, I know. You can just hug me if you want to motivate my hard work?"
**CLING**
Karen's words were the trigger which was enough to tick off Kaori as she broke the glass in her hand while glaring furiously at the man-hogging creature.
Kei was in trouble what should he do? But since he had promised to love them equally in his heart, he won't hesitate to do so.
"Then excuse me."
"Ah!"
Karen never expected that her small tease would be taken seriously and the Kei who always seemed to be distant from her would fill the gap with such fluency.
As his hand encircled her waist Kei felt her cold yet fluffy body which despite being lean, had some meat in the right places. The feeling of hugging such beauty from the back was heavenly and especially when she is having the apron scene.
'Ah… I might die of happiness at this rate… '
