The caves are a bit less boring with a few companions.

“This way! And be quiet!” Spindle says as she ascends up a sheer cliff.

“Are you really going to follow her?” Flou says from beneath my armor as we watch her skitter away.

“Don’t be a sour puss; give her a chance! I was about to swear off spider girls for life, but even I’ve come around on them. It takes a special woman to change a gal’s mind after…”

“…After a traumatic incident,” Flou finishes, and a pall falls over me.

“Let’s not talk about what happened. Like, ever.” I’m forcing that double disappointment out of my mind completely in 3… 2… 1…

What was I thinking about? Oh, right.

*Selected Webling Spider Climb*

Fascinatingly, this ability isn’t a physical modification. A supernatural force adheres my appendages to vertical surfaces and ceilings. Fingers, toes, knees, boots, and elbows are all fair game. I’m not exactly running up walls like Spindle, but I’m no longer vertically challenged in almost any capacity.

My underground guide stays just barely in my line of sight. We crawl across vast rock formations, honeycomb tunnels, cliffs, rockslides, and natural bridges over the void. Sometimes my marker on Opal feels closer, and other times further away. Patrols of Lizardmen pass far beneath us on several occasions. They all have those black collars. Webling Servitors scuttle around us, but Spindle herds them away before they can attack me.

The first major hurdle we come across is unique in my experience. Black runes glowing sooty purple form a line extending as far as my Mermaid Sight can see in either direction, climbing and falling across every surface in an unbroken chain. Spindle pauses before crossing, and I do the same.

She extends her hand first to demonstrate. Her fingers tremble over the runes but, after a minute I spend watching her with a raised eyebrow, Spindle forces her hand through. The spider girl proceeds to gingerly step over the line one limb at a time.

When I move to follow, I’m halted by a mysterious force. “A barrier?”

She shrugs. I don’t let it stop me. My Orc Strength helps, but I think I’m slowed by having to drag Flou and Olindia (inside me) through as well, so it evens out. Looking over my shoulder, I see a swell of Servitors close in behind us like a wave on the beach. They crash against the line of runes but don’t even attempt to cross the way we did.

There sure are a lot of them. I understand what Spindle’s mother was thinking with creating an army to conquer the region. In a way, it’s a good thing the Lizardmen got organized enough to oppose her.

“They can’t get through,” Spindle says with a dismissing glance backward. “But it only slows real monsters like us.”

Not far ahead, the tunnels open on larger caverns. The blazing light of orange flames illuminates the darkness for the first time in hours. The sounds of marching and clanging metal echo throughout as dozens of patrols enter and leave the central chambers. It’s a large camp with Servitors roasting over open fires, sleeping areas with nests made from detritus, training areas where Lizardmen fight with their irregular weapons, a section cordoned off with shed skins hung like curtains, and…

A cookware store? Not a Lizardman construct, but an ancient human building from before the monster apocalypse. It’s in remarkably good condition, but I suppose it’s been sheltered from erosion—what with the lack of wind, rain, and weeds underground. How did it get down here? There’re no roads, no tire tracks, and the tunnels are too small for it to fit through them. Excuse me?

Then it starts to make sense. Not the cookware store itself, but the source of the Lizardmen’s armor and weapons. They’re too dissimilar to be summoned, too poorly crafted. If anything, they look like pots, pans, and ladles hammered into useful shapes with stones. Yes, that’s literally where these stupid reptiles have been getting their metal. There’s no mining operation here, no skipping the bronze age to reinventing steel, just lizards banging kitchen gadgets into dangerous shapes.

There’s a pentagram of old, lifeless runes around the building giving off a vague sense of stale magic. Is this magic circle somehow responsible for its presence here?

Spindle tugs on my arm to get me moving again. We’re high up in a shadowed alcove with no immediate danger of being spotted, but I appreciate her snapping me out of it. Whatever dumb magic is responsible for that building doesn’t matter.

She has us climb over the camp to the secluded area encircled by a line of curtains and descend to the floor in a hidden spot. Then the spider girl proceeds to stride into the open like she owns the place.

My eyes go wide as I watch her leave. Spindle had been right about how many Lizardmen are here. I’m a little concerned about escaping after being discovered even with my climbing abilities given how many opponents would be in pursuit and throwing things at me.

“It’s Spindle! Hey, everyone, Spindle’s back!”

The first Kobold to spot the spider girl makes an announcement before rushing over to greet my… I guess Spindle is my girlfriend now. I realize this is the female side of the camp, as evidenced by the lack of Lizardmen, the many pregnant Kobolds in sight, and the area reserved for egg nests. There are male Kobolds in this area, but they seem distinctly soft and curvy like they’re used to ‘playing catch’ for the Lizardmen of that persuasion. Not that I doubt there’s plenty of hot Lizardman on Lizardman action going on in the male side of the camp. There’s not much to do down here except fuck.

I also see some juvenile Kobolds going about the business of learning and developing on the other side of the eggs. This is an established colony well into its second or third generation. I can’t help noticing, however, that even the young have those black collars. Opal must have avoided getting collared up till now by lying low or staying on the periphery of the settlement. That also might explain why she strayed far enough to get captured by a Burrower.

“Lovely to be back,” Spindle coos as she takes the nearby green-scaled Kobold in her arms and nuzzles into the lizard girl’s neck while copping a feel of solid C-cup breasts (not as big as mine; not jealous).

The green Kobold melts at the spider girl’s touch but is quickly replaced as Spindle turns her focus to a blue Kobold, then an orange Kobold boy (his cocks are about half my size and he’s very cute; I’m contemplating getting him alone), then back to girls with a yellow Kobold and another green one. She’s definitely a ‘player,’ but I’m not one to talk.

I step from the shadows once I’m confident this isn’t about to get ugly.

“I brought a human, freshly caught,” Spindle says, gesturing my way. “She’s extremely sexy under the armor, believe it.” The Kobolds turn to look at me in unison.

“You know all of them? How?” I ask, scanning the small crowd of Kobolds that approach. A few others heard the first Kobold and didn’t come running, but don’t seem interested in reporting us either.

“Is this your newest conquest, Spindle?” a blue Kobold says with glee. “I bet she screamed when she came! Humans are loud screamers.”

“Dumb question,” I retract.

I am a little shocked at Spindle’s ease around the Kobolds, who are each half a head taller in addition to outnumbering her. Not to mention vice versa, with how many Kobolds are no doubt eaten by Weblings in a given year. It’s unusual in my experience for two monster types that are ostensibly predator and prey to coexist this way. Yet, I suppose there’s nothing stopping them if food is plentiful enough and the sex is really that good.

Makes me feel better about trusting the little deviant.

“Just a few of Spindle’s catch-and-release victims. The best thing about that strategy is getting to catch them again when they’re bigger,” she says as she grabs the orange Kobold boy’s succulent ass. He giggles. “Vermillion here is looking for a one named Opal. Anyone seen her?”

Most of them look like they’re trying to recall an obscure detail they vaguely remember.

“Why don’t you take off the armor, girl? I bet it’s hot in there,” the yellow Kobold says with a sultry roll of her shoulders.

The green Kobold snakes out her long tongue while boldly approaching me. “Yeah, I think I could remember better if I wasn’t so thirsty.”

The blue Kobold sniffs the air. “Oh! I smell masculine musk on her too… I mean, my throat sure is itchy! Too itchy to talk! I’ll need something long and thick to scratch it, but where oh where could I find such a thingy?”

Sometimes having a human’s scent around horny monsters is a curse.

Spindle laughs and pantomimes thrusting her hips against the orange Kobold’s ass. “How about it, Vermillion? Care to jog their memories?”

Deep sigh. “I don’t have much time. Make it quick.” I feel like I’ve been saying that all day and no one listens to me.

The small crowd of Kobolds cheers as they pry away my crotch plate with their nimble claws. Flou knows better than to get in the way of half a dozen sex-hungry monsters and my twin rods flop into the open. A scaly rainbow lunges for my members as toothy maws part to reveal soft palates and eager tongues.

“B-big!”

“Her scent is incredible!”

“This taste!”

“I’ve never seen a pair this size…”

As the orange Kobold tries to join the throng, Spindle captures the femboy in her four-armed grip. Anchored threads I hadn’t noticed are tied to Orange’s limbs and, in a flash, he’s upside down. Spindle shoves her face under Orange’s tail to suck the Kobold’s balls while her crotch pedipalps grab and pin muzzle to crotch. She guides Orange’s head with one hand while teasing the femboy’s ass, thighs, and tail with her remaining appendages.

Meanwhile, I have six mouths on my crotch, three to a cock, licking and sucking the soft fleshy protuberances of my Lizardman-hybrid dicks. Green and Yellow kiss around my left shaft. Blue deepthroats my right member to the base in one go. Pink pulls Blue off me by the neck so she can trade sucking my tip with Sienna. Teal’s fingers find my pussy while she runs her tongue along my bumpy underside.

It’s like I’ve stuck my cock in piranha-infested waters. The sheer volume of sensations bombards me with pleasure until I can’t hold back any longer. I grab two Kobolds by their cranial scale ridges and pull them against me, hilting myself in their throats. The other colors grumble their objections until I withdraw to shoot my load onto their faces.

Several sets of hands grab my substantial lengths to finish me, pumping jet after jet of cream onto eager faces and open mouths with lolling tongues. I know I hit a few girls in the eyes, but the Kobolds are laughing, kissing, and licking each other to slurp up my spilled essence.

I take a deep breath and exhale in satisfaction. “So, who’s seen Opal?”

The Kobolds turn to one another with raised eye ridges.

“Oh, suddenly, my butt is itchy! I can’t concentrate until I can get something long and hard up in there!” Blue says.

“Yeah, that’s right, my pussy is itchy too,” Yellow says while giggling.

“I want her eggs!”

“Me too!”

I’m seriously considering setting Olindia loose on these lusty idiots when a red Kobold comes forward.

“Guys, that’s not funny. You’ve had your fun, and you know Malik called for Opal! She’s probably being collared right now unless he wants her for something worse!”

“Malik?” I ask.

“He’s an Imp. He came here and took over! Now, everyone works for him because of these stupid collars,” she hooks a finger through her own black collar. This close, and without the heat of battle, I notice the faint purple glow of runes on the alien metal.

My blood runs cold. If I learned anything from the Book of Monsters, it’s that demons and even their base forms are bad news. An Imp is only a second-tier monster, but more like an Ogre than a bunny in terms of threat level. And he’s got Opal!

“Where?”

“Malik’s throne is in the old human armory,” the red Kobold says.

I break into a run in the cookware store’s direction.

Spindle skitters up alongside me, having ditched the orange Kobold at some point to follow. “Vermillion, don’t go!”

“Don’t try to stop me.” The Kobolds seem alright, I guess, but I’ll kill any Lizardmen who stand in my way.

“No, you sexy idiot,” the spider girl says. “Going that way will waste your time and energy fighting guards. Let Spindle get you inside.”

I stop. “You know a way in?”
