"Well that was a waste!" Reta sighed as they pushed the front door open, having finally arrived back home. "So much for seeing around."

"Master did get poisoned," KuliKuli mentioned as she entered, hugging Felix by his arm. "Are you feeling better now that you're home?"

"Somewhat." She leaned in and looked him in the eyes when she asked, it warmed his heart to see how much she cared for him. He held her paw to comfort her and offered back a smile, which made her lean her head against his chest. They were nearly the same height but he gladly accepted it, stroking the back of her hair while Reta rolled her eyes and whistled.

"Why don't you both get some privacy?"

"Tonight we will, but we still have some things to do, right Master?" KuliKuli kissed him on the cheek.

Felix turned to Reta and nodded. "That's right, you said you were good with blades, I have just the task for you."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Weed cutting?" Reta frowned, hunching over and seeming irritated. Felix had brought her around the back area of the cabin before presenting her with a sickle. In front of her was a large field of tall grass reaching their waist.
Felix looked apologetic and held the sickle up for her. "It will be easy, you just grab them and pull them up, then give them a nice swipe across the roots as far as you can go. Sometimes weeds can sneak in through the grass and they cause a problem with our livestock so Auguste cleans out the back every few months just in case."
"Ehhhhhh? But you don't do it around the animals?"
"We did that last week, KuliKuli and I."
"Yes, because I'm sure her paws had the right grip to use this." She muttered while grabbing the sickle from him. "I think a hoe would work better for this."
Felix scratched his arm and leaned back. "About that, our tool shed fell apart during the storm and I wasn't able to salvage all of the tools. The hoe rusted overnight and broke apart the day after so we had to work with this for now. Hoes are cheap but surprisingly hard to find until you find the right place and we didn't have time to look for any hoes with everything that is happening over there. Have you handled one before?"
FWOOO!
He jumped back, startled as she swung the sickle around cross-diagonally with ease. Slicing through the air with each swing, the manner of which she managed this tool indicated that she had some history with it before. His eyes grew twice their size when she faced him while casually spinning the sickle around with a flick of her wrist and a play of her fingers. When she settled with the sickle held firmly in place, she lowered her hand and offered him a crossed look.
"Nope, never used one before in my life. My mother raised me to contribute with the crops in our village but this here must have slipped her mind. How careless of her." She explained in a sarcastic tone.
Felix kept a few paces distant from her after the display, unsure of what to think of her. "I guess I'll go check up on KuliKuli and see if she needs any help then."
"You do that." She muttered, the sound of the fierce momentum as she swung the tool around and making quick work of the tall grass growing faint as he walked away. It was not too far a walk, just a stroll around the cabin before he found his mate busy with feeding the chickens. She would scoop up as best she could and spread the seeds around with a flick of her tail, at one point she threw it too hard as the seeds struck a poor chicken as if it were raining pellets. She gasped and offered a shy apology, reaching out with a paw full of seed. It clucked and gave a tilt of its head before approaching and taking up her offer, feeding from her paw much to her delight.
Her ears twitched and she turned to spot him as he arrived. "Master! I think I'm starting to get comfortable doing this thing, maybe I can be the new chicken feeder?"
"You're doing a good job for sure." He commented while offering her a thumbs up.
She smiled and turned back to tend to her task. "Maybe if Auguste comes back he won't think I'm so bad for being a Monster Girl?"
Felix sat against the fence and rubbed his forehead. "We-uh, we can consider that when that happens."
She spun around when she caught him wince through the corner of her eye. "Does it still hurt?"
"I should be asking you," He smiled in an attempt to dismiss her concerns. "You had quite a fight the other day, are your cuts healing well?"
The cat girl placed the half-empty sack of seed away and nodded, leaning against the fence with him as they both observed the chickens cluck away and flap their wings. "They heal, it doesn't sting anymore. But Master, cuts can heal but poisons are life-threatening. Does this mean we can't go back to Farmer's Den anymore?"
"You remember what Reta said, it would soften up over time. The best we can do is stay home until she says we can go again."
"Jay Jay seems like she is very helpful." KuliKuli remarked.
Felix tilted his head in response. "She does, I really appreciate her help so far."
"And Wolfy is helping too, right?"
"Wolfy?" He laughed and shook his head. "She makes me nervous. She has an attitude and is very... direct, I think? Yes, that's the word."
KuliKuli nodded in agreement before looking at him in a hopeful manner. "But that's not bad, is it?"
"I guess not, it could be something I can get use to. I was more comfortable when it was you and I. I know you and you know me, but we don't know a lot about her."
"Maybe we can ask her when we are done with work today?"
He shrugged. "I don't see why not, so long as she helps."
"You won't kick her out, would you?" She asked in a gentle tone. "You know I would protect you."
"KuliKuli," He began as he leaned forward, "It's not that I worry about our safety, I want to help her too. That night when we captured her, I was close enough for her to bite me. But she didn't, actually she was hesitant to attack me. It was strange, because I know she had the opportunity to do it, but when I looked into her eyes... I don't know the words but... she was... I've seen those eyes before, and they were not a killer's eyes."
"Oh and she treated you with medicine when you were poisoned as well!" KuliKuli reminded him.
"That too, of course. And-" He froze when she abruptly felt his forehead before pulling away and waving her paw in a rapid blur.
"Master, you're sweating." She commented, wiping the sweat off her paw with a hint of disgust in her face.
Felix blinked and felt his head. "It is hot today."
"No Master, it's not. You're sweating a lot again just like before." Her ears shot up as she looked at him with intensity with her paws on his arms. "Wolfy said this would happen, you need to rest."
"I'm fine-"
"NO!" She raised her voice causing him to flinch. "You, in the tub, now!"
"What, why the tub?" He asked.
"Wolfy said that this would happen and when it does then I put you in the tub for a wash!"
"But why? What about the farm, I still need to work the-"
"Nope!" She began pushing him to the cabin with her paws on his back. "She says you'll be sweating the poison out of your system or something like that, so we need to wash it away."
"But-"
"NO BUTS!" She yelled out, pushing him through the door and closing it behind her. Reta raised her head upon hearing her voice. She shook her head and continued pulling handfuls of grass up before slicing them with her sickle.
"Kuli, this isn't something we need to do." Felix attempted to bargain as she urgently pulled his tunic over his messy brown hair before tugging his pants down. "We need to heat up some water if we're doing this, please?"
The Nekomata rubbed her chin with the tip of her tail as if considering what he said. "Hmm, yes that's right. Fine! You stay right here while I get some hot water! By the time I get back, I expect you to be naked and comfy in the tub."
"Yes ma'am?" He replied in a low voice, watching her swing her hips with each step as she started to hum to herself. The way her tails wiggled around like worms digging through the surface of fresh dirt early in the morning, and yet they were fluffy with one of her two tails ending with a brown tip at the end. Admittedly, watching her tails wiggle seemed to draw his attention to her rear end, her butt covered up in her amateur homemade shorts made from slashed pants. It took several days for her to adjust to wearing clothing and he appreciated that, mostly since seeing her naked form made it... incredibly hard for him to concentrate.
He blushed and looked away, pressing his legs together. Suddenly he was thankful that she had left him alone for the time being.
If only that time of solitude had lasted.
"Yo, the weeds are-"
Just as he began to remove his undergarments, Norowa Reta pushed through the door with the sickle in hand, the blade now appeared to be coated in dry green stains after cutting through plenty of weeds. They locked eyes as he stood in place like a statue carved out of stone in the image of a man with his trousers hung by his ankles, his genitals in clear view as he sat on the edge of the tub. Immediately her face shifted from one of shock to one of arousal, raising her eyebrow and crossing her arms while leaning against the door frame. Neither of them noticed the cling of the sickle dropping on the floor beside her.
"Ara Ara," She began in a seductive voice, her eyes wandering down to see him, "What do we have here?"
"Reta!" He gasped, regaining control as he shifted to cover himself. "It's not what it looks like!"
He bent down to pick up his undergarments when she pressed her foot down between his feet, pinning the article of clothing and removing his best chance of shielding his nudity against her. Now he was completely exposed, looking up nervously as she inched her face closer.
"Hontoni? I don't know, I happen to like what I see." She shifted and swung her leg around carefully, sitting on his lap and reaching to place his hands to rest on her legs. Nervously, his hands began to stroke her thighs, feeling her soft skin and finding comfort in her warmth. The sensation of his hands made her shiver in anticipation as she leaned forward, hooking her arms around him and staring deeply into his eyes. "And I think someone likes what he sees as well."
He swallowed nervously as he could feel himself begin to sweat. A wave of emotions were caught in his throat as he stared back into her, hypnotized in a somewhat inexplicable moment.  There was a evident tension in the air, he suddenly felt like cold water might be necessary to bathe in soon. The way she began to gently rock her hips onto his lap while stroking his shoulders, and how she pressed her forehead onto his without ever taking her beautiful hazel eyes off from his amber-brown pupils, and how she licked her lips hungrily and emitted a sound that he swore sounded like that of a low growl.
There it was again, the eyes of a predator who just snagged her prey.
