“He’s f*cking with the air.”

The guards burst into laughter at Sidrain’s self-correcting tone. The king, viewed from outside the palace, had quite a liberated spirit. The exploits of the king and the Viscount of Fortwall, who had embarked on a dragon subjugation mission and plundered various lords, had become legendary and would be talked about for a long time.

“It would have been great if they were actual demons.”

A passing knight muttered. As they approached the entrance to the cave, the eerie sounds grew louder. It seemed as if the young son of the Viscount was determined to vomit his guts out. The guard next to him spoke.

“That’s true.”

If the entire Surah family were demons, how wonderful would it be? The guards earnestly wished for it. It wasn’t just the guards inside the cave who harbored such desires.

“Aren’t you going?”

In a tone that couldn’t conceal his irritation, one of the guards spoke, and Lord Surah, with his eyes fixed on the hole, suddenly snapped.

“Oh, I was just about to go!”

“Then let’s go.”

How much longer will this go on?

The two guards were furious about being stuck here without being able to descend into the dungeon because of this enemy.

The entrances to underground dungeons are usually holes. Some are large, some are small, but in any case, those holes are dark, and the floor is not visible. Of course, since there was a magician accompanying them, there were always enchantments hanging down, and they could simply slide down using those ropes. The ropes were connected all the way to the floor.

However, while the two sons threw themselves into the holes, the viscount himself just stood there, unable to descend into the hole. It was maddening for the guards. They were not the escort knights for the viscount. Escorting the king was their sacred duty. So why was this author wasting time here, forcing them to waste such precious time?

Then the rope shook. In the viscount’s moment of confusion, the two guards quickly moved him backward.

“Step aside.”

And who emerged from the hole but the king himself, Sidrain.

Hee-hee-hee. The viscount was startled and fell backward. It was understandable. The king’s handsome appearance was a mess. He wasn’t even wearing armor due to discomfort. He had descended into the dungeon in light attire and slaughtered his way up. Covered in green, black, and red blood and flesh, emitting a nauseating and rancid smell, he was a sight to behold.

After that, the guards began to emerge one after another. It was finally over. The viscount breathed a sigh of relief. He had no intention of venturing into a hole where he couldn’t even see the floor. Why bother having sons if they wouldn’t be useful in times like this? He sincerely felt relieved.

Until the king spoke.

“Why are you not going in?”

The king’s tone was filled with irritation.

The Viscount trembled like a bamboo in the wind, shocked. Upon closer inspection, he couldn’t see his sons anywhere.

“G-Go in, Your Majesty,” he stammered.

“You are my sacred subjects. If I hunt demons, it is your duty to deal with them. Are you neglecting this sacred duty?”

How dare they? Sidrain asked, and the viscount trembled and bowed his head.

“I-I, my sons, they…”

Sidrain coldly interrupted the viscount, who was slowly moving away from the hole, rubbing his buttocks against the floor.

“It seems your sons are in need of their father’s strict discipline. If you can’t go in, I can throw you in. But if that happens, even if one of your legs breaks, I won’t know anything about it.”

“I-I will go in! I will go in!”

He said he would go in, but was it that easy? It was when Lord Surah struggled to hold back tears in front of the hole.

“Esteban, how many did I catch?”

Sidrain asked.

“118, Your Majesty.”

At that moment, Sidrain grabbed Lord Sera by the back.

“Y-Your Majesty, I’ll go! I’ll go!”

The viscount screamed, but Sidrain paid no attention. He lifted Surah into the hole. Thud, thud. Lord Sera, hanging by his back, gasped for breath with a tight throat.

Sidrain spoke.

“It’s 118, Lord Surah. Until all 118 are dissected, I won’t let this rope down. Keep that in mind.”

“S-Such words…”

Thud! Sidrain released Lord Surah from above the hole.

No, no, no, it can’t be.

Lord Surah’s screams echoed into the hole. As soon as Sidrain snapped his fingers, the guards swiftly pulled up the rope. The only way to ascend had completely disappeared.

“Oh, I forgot to mention that there are still demons left.”

Oops, my mistake. Sidrain muttered, his tone completely unapologetic.

“Well, you’ll find out soon enough, won’t you?”

Esteban retorted with a tone suggesting, “Why don’t you go to the inn quickly and have a meal, whether it’s like this or like that?”

“That’s right.”

Sidrain replied cheerfully. It sounded like there were cries of “Aah, it’s a demon!” coming from below the hole, but well, it was someone else’s business.
