After knocking out Frono FC in style and getting that revenge they've always wanted, Unique FC players got another day off.

Their next match was on Thursday after all so it was best to rest on Tuesday and then return to training on Wednesday.

Dave got up that morning and quickly kicked it off with his daily workout.

It started with a short run of course and after that, he returned to his gym.

After spending some time there working on his legs especially, he walked out to the lawn with a ball.

'So, how's your morning going, Catherine?' He asked

'Yeah, it's always like that. So, Catherine.'

'What will happen if I suddenly stop training?'

'Well, naturally, they'll decline in performance.'

'Huh?'

'Oh, so the moral of this conversation is never stop training.'

'Huh? Why's that?'

'Oh, and what age is that?'

"Fine," Dave muttered.

After that, he brought the ball down and gave it a little kick, it rolled toward the hedge of flowers and hid between them as soon as it got there.

After that, the goalkeeper turned toward the door and made his way into the house.

He entered the house to find Emma sitting on the couch in the living room.

She had already gotten dressed for work and was applying a little makeup on her face now.

"I was wondering when you were going to walk in here." She said with her gaze on her mirror.

"You were watching me from upstairs, weren't you?" Dave said as he made his way to her.

"Not really, I just took a little gaze outside and found you there, I didn't look for long though." She replied.

"I doubt that." He said before slowly sitting down beside her.

"Of course you do."

"So, how's my little baby girl doing?" He asked before placing his hand on her stomach.

"It's your little baby boy and according to the doctor yesterday, he's doing fine." She replied.

"That's great news, too bad she hasn't shown her form as a girl yet, I wonder what she will think in the future when I tell her that her mother wanted her to be a boy."

"Hmph, in your dreams." She said before turning her gaze to him.

Dave wanted to say something but stopped as soon as he made eye contact with her.

"So, how long are you going to be working today?" He asked.

"Not for long, I'll be back by five." She said before getting up from the couch.

"Okay," Dave said before getting up from the couch too. "Then, I'll just." He added before leaning closer to kiss her.

It was just a short kiss.

"What are you going to be doing, today? Are you planning on going anywhere?" She asked.

"Not really." He replied before shaking his head.

"So, you're just going to stay at home and do nothing?"

"No, Mateo's coming over later, we have plans that involve playing games for now, we may decide to go out who knows." He expressed with a shrug.

"Right, Mateo, the only friend you have in your team."

"He's not my only friend in my team but he is the only one that I really trust and feel super relaxed around, I was about to say it was a family thing until I realized that your dad existed."

"I get your point." She sighed. "Speaking about Mateo, did anything happen back at Villarreal?"

"You mean with Sofia and Amber?"

"Yeah, how on earth did he get caught up between two friends? These kinds of things never end well for anybody."

"Fate," Dave muttered with a shrug. "Don't worry about it though, I'm sure he knows what to do."

"I hope so, maybe I should have kept Amber away from him."

"Huh?"

"Nothing." She said before shaking her head. " I'll get going now."

Dave kept his gaze on her until she was gone and after that, he crashed down on the couch.

Mateo arrived at the goalkeeper's place by 11:00 AM and after chatting for a while, they got straight into their video games.

It was Fifa of course, where Dave kept on getting bullied despite using arguably the best team in the game.

After losing for the seventh time in a row, he gave up and got up from the couch.

"This isn't fun if I keep losing all the time." He said as he made his way to the kitchen.
