The members saw the monster and screamed rolling to get away from the falling giant body still they were late and lost their balance. One of them rolled down through the opening air and fell in the lake along with the monster. The second one was able to move back on time.
The team leader gestured someone to see through the water and find the person who fell just now. They were working like a team and cannot simply loss without wining.
The monster also caught the sight of the struggling hunter and moved body to strangle the hunter under the water. It was not easy because the body needed proper place to move while the team leader was standing at the surface glaring the monster.
"It is moving toward him, I will hinder monster; you bring out the man" he gestured his men and leapt without fearing anything. Since it was do or die, he brought out the second sword to face it.
Now he was running on the surface against the monster and the monster was moving under the lake ready to grab the hunter. Team leader set the head of the monster as his target for this attack because the monster changed its plan to strangle the hunter. It now opened the big mouth to get the hunter inside while constantly splashing the tail against the water for anyone to reach and save the man.
When the tail hit against the water surface it was like a flood triggered and most of them got worried to keep balance in this situation, the fluctuations were causing the support to flicker like light and the dim light which was emitting from the source stone was leaving openings.
It was worrisome. If they were not going to stop the monster then they would surely lost one of the member which was struggling under the water and the worst thing that they monster was about to reach the target. Team leader did not stop and slightly changed the direction following the monster, his pace matched to the monster moving under the surface.
Two of the men jumped down because of the severe situation down there, they were following the orders and instead of reaching to the man, they attacked the tail. The monster which observed the team leader clearly a moment ago that he was going to attack on its head slowed down suddenly. Leader was going to save the man while other two attacked at once at the tail.
The tail was sensitive part of this monster, half of the skills and attacks were done with tail by the water type monsters. Though simultaneous few attacks cannot injure seriously but still its attention was diverted for few brief moments.
In the meantime, team leader jumped and reached the man, they only need to reach the surface of the water and can get the support in getting out of it. The two more hunters were there to immediately lend helping hand and both came out of the water.
The tail shook after two attacks and the hunters have no choice but to retreat. They could only attack when the monster was distracted completely. Direct attacks especially in this certain situation were almost impossible unless someone really was tired of his life.
The monster got failed to kill one of the hunter while the team was thinking how to get rid the scum who has become their biggest worry.
"Keep yourself more alert, it is in the water now but anytime it could show up for surprise." he was pointing at the fact that they were standing on the surface while the monster was the monarch of the lake, it could suddenly appear and send them in the water and then they do not need to predict anything.
The hunters sharply kept their eyes wandering how it was moving under the surface and what possible place it could chose. "Should we leave the surface and stand around the lake since we cannot predict what place it would choose?" a man suggested and the leader divided them in two pairs and sent on both sides.
