A sudden and unexpected help is better than promised support
The leading hunter was very enthusiastic. He valiantly started butchering, a doomsday for the monsters. It was a regular battle for hunters whereas for monsters they were here to get the mountain. It increased the competition. The four hunters were taking it with ease for some time however when they saw the endless stream of monsters; it brought some sense of threat. They could finally notice the difference; the monsters were organize and trying to advance toward the peak of mountain thought it was far from their dreams yet.
There was the first layer or it should be called the first troop of the monsters at the very front. They were the leftover monsters who survived from the Volcanic Territory. When the hunters started clearing them at their best pace the second and third troops came under visual vision. "Bro they are increasing; what did they eat today?" the fourth hunter twitched his brows with visible concern on his face. "Today they are acting different perhaps with some planning." Someone answered while dodging the furious attack. The monsters were angry today and they were not only organized but wishful. "If they kept increasing; we might be surrounded." The second hunter voiced from afar.
His words were true. The present scenario was enough to predict the upcoming turmoil. "What should we do now?" The second hunters voiced again. He was currently battling with more than three monsters at the same time and it already ceased his movements. "Go as fast as you can." The team leader mocked out loud. He knew that the situation demanded them to be stern and active. The battle was going intense with the time and they cannot waste any moment in bickering yet he was sarcastic in the middle of the mess.
"Hell with the slogan you namesake leader; can you stop it already." They were talking over random things one day and their conversation led to an awkward point and to get rid the weird situation they invented this slogan. Now whenever the leader voiced the slogan it made him remember his awkward situation. He was not ready to listen it when he was surrounded with the monsters and the situation was lot more tense than their expectation. The numbers of the monsters were increasing slowly which was not good sign. "Then there is no better option for now." The team leader shrugged his shoulders and got busy butchering the intruders.
The first troop of the monsters was consisted on the stronger monsters; they were actually leading the second and third troop under their supervision. The center of attention was the first troop; these monsters were faster than the wind and their attacks were random. Perhaps they were not learned in battle sense or their capabilities were yet to grasp the attack type intellect. Most of the monsters learn from hunters during random face to face battles. It was not that all the times hunters were hungry for hunting. They only battle when it was necessary or they were on mission.
Of course some of them hunt for living. The team leader was finally getting the vibes of revolt. It was apparent now. If it was normal or occasional assault then the monsters must have backed down until now. The time passed and the monsters remained persistent. The hunters were now under pressure and they have to think something before the monsters get over the mountain. There was another possibility; fighting for longer times was not unheard but a Silver Class cannot show such feat if asked.
The Silver Class has limits. Moreover they were battling without reserving power; according to the situation they cannot think to reserve a single bit of strength. "If I am not wrong the monsters are surrounding us." The first hunter who enthusiastically ran to attack the first troop of the monster voiced in weak tone. "Man your observation is heavenly; as if we don't know this already." The team leader spoke sarcastic. The situation was getting worse with the time and there were no signs of monsters retreating anytime soon. The hunters were slowing down and thinking ways how they should get rid the situation.
One of the hunters dodged and put the double attack so that both monsters could halt the advancement. It worked and he was able to stand on his position. The monsters stepped back just when the hunter thought that he was saved both monsters stepped forward attacking same time. One more monster joined the attack and it brought chaos leaving the hunter agape. He was not expecting these monsters trapping and acting smart on will. The wind passed by and the hunter was saved on time else the attack must have injured him seriously. The attack of the monster went useless because the hunter suddenly disappeared.
The hunter who was caught surprised by the attack felt light headed after someone suddenly swept him away from the monsters. He thought that perhaps his career of hunting and perhaps his life was coming to end now. Unexpectedly some saved it at the last moment. He turned to see who it was. The blood hunter scratched his rough hair and chuckled. "You should be grateful of brother hunter." Wuza went away saying this. Qiao spotted this hunter and immediately ordered Wuza. The hunter remained agape to see the hunter leaving like wind. For some time he believed that perhaps stronger hunters has appeared to save their small team.
"Good work Wuza but you should be more attentive as I will be hunting now." Qiao reminded. He could notice Wuza was not alert. "Alright! Brother hunter now I have seen the four hunters and their spots of hunting, I will keep my eyes at them." Wuza answered seeing brother hunter very sternly looking at the down side of the mountain where the hunters were trying to keep the monsters away instead the monsters were advancing slowly. It was visible sign that the hunters were at loss end. The monsters were at the winning side.
Since the trio came from the opposite side they were standing at the peak of the mountain. It gave them better understanding of the present situation. They could see that only five hunters were here at the mountain and now battling with the monsters. No matter if it was good to be here or bad but they have to steel against the monsters. "The monsters which are able to escape the hunters and advancing toward the mountain peak are our target; can you see?" Qiao sounded grimly.
"I can see." Lowa immediately answered. She knew that the hunter was asking from her because Wuza has already his duty been assigned to him. They walked toward the steep and stopped the monsters. Before only four hunters were battling for securing the mountain now two more added with one bodyguard. The hunter who was saved came in his senses and turned to attack the monster who was trying to get benefit from his trans mood. "Wait you sneak attacker." He yelled and readied for attack but alas half of his hair burned when the fire touched his head. The monster attacked with fire.
After getting half of his hair burned suddenly; he got speechless, his expressions were unfathomable thought the face was visibly twisted with the disgust. "This bastard wanted to see my furious appearance." He shouted and attacked the monster with fire stone bringing two fold fire and burning half of the body of the body. "Now you see your place." He was glad after getting revenge immediately. The monster ran around when its body was burning. Fortunately it got the broken plate of ground where water accumulated. The fire extinguished but the monster was no more in condition to carry on the battle. It barely returned back dragging its body. The hunter was more than happy when he saw toward the peak of the mountain where two new hunters valiantly stopped monsters. From distance they looked stronger hunters. Their movements were agile and they seemed very well acquainted with worse situations than this one. It was good for they were no more alone here to secure the mountain. "Our comrades are here; go as fast as you can." He shouted the slogan. It was first ever that he shouted the slogan; others knew that he hated the slogan as well as the reason behind creating this slogan.
The others heard and looked toward the peak of mountain. "Oh one of them is a huntress." From the movement of the huntress their sharp eyes easily perceived. "Bro you are surrounded with death." Someone reminded him to not get distracted. It was good news at least they have some backing now. It gave them some courage to continue the battle.
