Learning my lesson from last time, I decided not to wear my original clothing and buy new ones instead. Therefore, on the way back from the park, I visited a clothing store with Charlotte and grabbed the cheapest clothes available. Then, we both went home to prepare for the flight and pack our bags.
This time, learning my lesson, I packed some canned food and drinks into my bag. Other than that, I just brought my wallet and my smartphone. I will eventually switch the SIM card to a traveller's sim soon. With Mio and Hanako still out of the house, Charlotte and I grabbed a cab and went to the port.
"Eh? Yuuji?"

Once we arrived at the port, we met dad standing on a small boat heading for the mainland.
"What are you doing here, Yuuji?"
"Uh... Just going out for a trip. What about you, dad? Don't you have work?"
Upon my question, my father turned stiff.
"I-I am going to the mainland to work, of course!", he averted his eyes from mine.
"Really?"

After staring at him for about ten seconds, he gave up and admitted the truth to me.
"Y-You see... Since your mother is so scary... I decided to just get off the island and let her 'cool down' a little..."
"So you're running away, huh?"

Seems like I hit the bullseye.

"I promise you not tell mom about this under one condition."

"Buy tickets for me and Charlotte to Thailand. And make it quick."

Five minutes later... Our plane tickets were ready. He sent me the plane ticket using the booking application and then escorted us to the mainland...
