Waiting at the main gate of the winery stood Charlotte's father, wearing a fairly decent suit. His blonde hair matches Charlotte's, and their facial features are also quite similar, proving that he is indeed Charlotte's father.
Standing there in front of the main gate in a dignified manner, he bowed once towards us and indicated us to enter the winery.
"Hey, Charlotte, your father is quite the nice pers-"
"Charlotte-chyan~~~ You've finally come to visit father right? Here, here, won't you become your father's bride- Oof!"
Ah... Even before I was able to finish my sentence, he literally ruined his own impression. Ah... Now that reminds me, he had always been a doting father like this, huh? Ever since that time when I stayed in England for a few months, he would occasionally drop by to cuddle with Charlotte even though he is supposed to be working, causing him to be brutally punched by Charlotte...
That exact same scene is now replaying in front of my eyes again.
"You idiot father! Did you come to Thailand just to drink wine?!?!"
"Of course! You've gotta try th- Oof!"
"Just keep it to yourself, you idiot father! Now find us a place to sleep!"
"J-Just wait for a little bit, Charlotte! I'm almost done here anyway."
With those words said, he ran away from the place instantly and left us to our own devices.
Seeming unperturbed by her father's actions, she continued to play with the cat in her arms again. By now, the cat had already lost all the will to live and just stayed limp in Charlotte's arm. I kinda feel bad for it though...
"Let's eat some food after this, Mr.cat! I'll get daddy to get some fish for you, okay?"
"Meow~~~!!!"
Although it couldn't possibly have understood what Charlotte had just said, hope had begun to return to its eyes. I have to say that it is a first for me to see a cat drooling so hard that its saliva dropped to the floor.
On second thought, haven't I seen something similar to this before.
When I glanced at Charlotte, I was able to recall where I had seen the similar seen immediately.
"Sigh... Why is the cat and the owner so similar...?"

After packing things up, Charlotte's father took us back to a house he rented in Korat. Although it is not a very big house, it has two floors and a bathtub. Furthermore, the house is also close to the nearby department store, making it easy to purchase stuff.
"Idiot father! I want to eat curry today!"

To be honest, it can be quite entertaining to watch this pair of father and daughter talking with each other. I mean, a doting father + a slightly selfish daughter? That's definitely a great combo!
While waiting for dinner, I took care of Charlotte's cat in her stead. Even though I said that it is her cat, it still technically isn't. I mean, she just picked it up from the street, right?
Since I knew that it was probably tired from the ruckus Charlotte caused today, I just let it lie down on the floor comfortably. Now, I don't know if cats are able to express emotions, but the look in the cat's eyes was indicating that it was indeed grateful to me.
Sigh... You must have a tough life, Mr Cat...
