In this match against Grey, PG clinched victory hands down.

Despite that, Grey’s performance in the latter stage can’t be said to be entirely without any merit. Towards the end, they were at least able to scour out a way of counteracting Moonshadow Spider before they lost the match, thereby enabling Burial Sword to gank her twice.

The first time this occurred, it was in a mini team battle in the Bottom Lane. Right after Chronos and Jinghua Shuiyue were CC’ed, both demons used Release, interrupting Jing Yu’s self-invented combo-attack. Subsequently, Jinghua Shuiyue tossed a single Roving Mirage, counter-CC’ing Moonshadow Spider.

Even though Jing Yu forked out his Release at once, he still lost a significant amount of blood to Chronos. Following closely, Chronos was ganked by True Arrow, and then, Burial Sword Teleported into the scene, ambushing Moonshadow Spider!

This low health, assassin-class squishy was thus hacked to death just like that. With that said, Burial Sword also turned into a corpse under True Arrow’s ministrations. In the end, this team battle thus concluded with 1 for 3 in PG’s favour.

The next time this happened, it was during a team battle in the Mid Lane. After Lilith slowed down all members of Grey, the low HP Moonshadow Spider charged into the battle, instantaneously switching into Demon Form and releasing Heavens Encompassing Web Cage. Unexpectedly enough, Grey’s members swiftly responded with Release together, counter-killing, then having Burial Sword instakill Moonshadow Spider.

Regardless, PG still won this battle again with a 1 for 5.

This entire match lasted 29 minutes, and the final battle score is:  21 : 2.

On PG’s side, the only one who died was Moonshadow Spider. In the end, the MVP was still awarded to Luo Yiming’s True Arrow by the System. Be that as it may, there is not a single person in the audience who dares overlook Moonshadow Spider’s contribution.

Halfling says it all with full certainty: 【If this match isn’t in the Preliminaries but in the Qualifiers, Elimination Round, or even the Final League, I dare say that with skill sets taken into account, this match’s MVP will definitely be awarded to Goldfish’s Moonshadow Spider! 】

【I’m with you on that.】Candy backs him up,【There’s no question about it. PG’s Goldfish has once again created another miracle!】

Halfling: 【With that said, Grey’s efforts also can’t be said to have gone to waste. At least, they’ve revealed to us how Moonshadow Spider isn’t necessarily undefeatable.】

Candy: 【Indeed. In the latter half where Grey’s members all used Release, Moonshadow Spider clearly displayed signs of being suppressed.】

Halfling: 【Moreover, we have also seen how Moonshadow Spider’s form switch is only available when her health has fallen below 40%.】

Candy: 【Hahaha, this really is a bit like a Last Boss going berserk!】

Halfling: 【That’s precisely why, though Goldfish’s combo attack is OP, it still carries a great risk. So long as the enemy has Release in their arsenal, they can easily counter-kill.】

Candy: 【But with all said and done, since this is Goldfish’s Moonshadow Spider’s debut match, Grey didn’t get to make any preparations. They sure are down on their luck! 】

Halfling: 【Haha, they can only blame themselves for banning Frozen Heart!】

Candy: 【You sure know how to say it. This really is just shooting oneself in their foot ba!】

Jing Yu pulls off his headphones and gives a long sigh.

Regardless of what others say, he can only feel, his performance this time wasn’t very ideal.

It’s just as he expected. Whenever he uses demons beside Frozen Heart, the moment they’re locked on by the enemy, it’s incredibly easy to get messed up. This is most likely due to his lack of experience with them.

Qin Fei also noticed that: “In the second half, your Moonshadow Spider was thoroughly targeted by the enemies. She might do better without switching forms.”

“En. I’ll take note of this next time.” Jing Yu obediently replies.

“Even so……” Qin Fei raises a hand with a smile, messing up Jing Yu’s hair. “That was a good match!”

Jing Yu submits himself to Qin Fei’s head ruffle. Feeling the warmth and touch of that hand, he can’t help but squeeze his eyes closed in comfort, wishing he’ll rub just a tad longer.

It’s a pity Qin Fei withdraws after ruffling just a few times and gets up from his gaming chair.

He must be using the washroom.

Gazing after his back, Jing Yu can only feel an abrupt sense of loss. When he snaps back to himself, he can’t help bemoaning in his heart – Indeed. There are no limits to one’s greed. One can never be content with what they have.

Back when he had only just signed with PG, just the thought of brushing shoulders with Qin Fei could already make him die without regrets. But now, he’s actually looking forward to Qin Fei paying attention to him, interacting with him, touching him more……

Ermmm, what is he thinking?

Jing Yu “Tsk”s and rises to his feet. He intends to head to the Living Room to stretch his legs.

In the end, no sooner had he stood up, Ye Hong hooks an arm around his neck in one swift move: “Little Goldfish~ Are you still keeping any delightful surprises from Zhen**?”

(**Zhen 朕: This sovereign: how emperors of the past refer to themselves)

Jing Yu looks at him helplessly: “You’ll find out in the future.”

“Oh, there’s seriously still some?” Ye Hong’s astonished, “Looks like we really picked up a treasure this time!”

“Actually, it’s just because there are only a few junglers who play assassin class demons la……” Jing Yu knows he’s not bad at all, but he also won’t be arrogant to the extent where he thinks he’s undefeatable, “Our current enemy also suffered this time since they’re not used to battling assassins. Once we get to the Qualifiers, the Elimination Round, and the Final League, it’s hard to say how I’ll fare.”

“It’ll be okay, I believe in you!” Ye Hong is full of smiles as he pats Jing Yu on the shoulder, “Continue to carry us ba! Little Goldfish~”

“En en, I will do my best!”

Thereafter, in the second match that afternoon, the enemy banned Lilith, Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, and Moonshadow Spider. Jing Yu leads PG to victory with Frozen Heart, bagging the match with an overwhelming 25 : 3.

That night, the tower titled “Please advise on what to do if you’re matched up to a Top 8” simply goes nuts!

3297L: When going up against PG, which 3 demons are you supposed to ban ah?!

3298L: I think Moonshadow Spider’s a must-ban! Winning 1v3 at low HP is simply wayyy too much of a bug!

3299L: Even if you say that, Goldfish’s first pick has always been Frozen Heart. Maybe it’s better not to waste a ban on Moonshadow Spider ba? Afterall, PG is strong not just because Goldfish is strong, but because of the entire team’s prowess.

3300L: Upstairs +1. Have y’all forgotten the terror of facing Qin Fei’s Satan? Have y’all forgotten how vicious Ye Zi’s Nine-Tailed Demon Fox gets? Let’s not forget! There’s still ONE’s Dark Cupid. His level of bug-ness is totally able to rival Goldfish’s Moonshadow Spider!

3301L: Let’s wrap it up for now! If you run into PG, Nine-Tailed Demon Fox is a must-ban! If you get a first-mover advantage, you can snatch either Satan or Dark Cupid. Otherwise, you can only ban all three of them!

3302L: Emmm…… Why do I feel Qin Fei’s Lilith is far more aggressive compared to Satan?

3303L: + 1. Ever since Sleepy God started solo-laning, I think banning Satan has lost all meaning. In fact, Lilith is a trickier demon. This demon’s specialty is in the first half. She suits PG’s style far too much! Simply a Top Lane Tyrant! Nobody can beat her!

3304L: Alright. Let’s make a new summary: When running into PG and lucky enough to get a leading advantage, ban Lilith, Satan, Nine-Tailed Demon Fox and snatch Dark Cupid. This plan is more reasonable. You can ofc ban Centaur. That way, the gap between marksmen will be widened. But if you’re snatching Satan, ban Lilith, Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, and Dark Cupid. As for second movers, you can only ban these three. Nothing more to say.

3305L: Thank you, Upstairs, for the summary! However, I want to say, rather than debating what to ban when running into PG, why not just pray to Buddha for help. Pray that we don’t run into PG in the Preliminaries……

3306L: @Upstairs That’s not a solution ba? Since PG is already in the Preliminaries, so long as you’re participating in PGL, you’re bound to run into them sooner or later. If you’re lucky enough to escape them in the Preliminaries, you won’t be able to escape them in the Qualifiers. If you escape them in the Qualifiers, there is still the Elimination Round. What can praying to the Buddha help you do?

3307L: @Upstairs Upon reaching the Elimination Round, every match will be livestreamed. I think to any new team, this is a chance to get in the spotlight. New teams may not be able to get into the Top 8 by their first PGL…… Okay, so maybe there’s PG, this bug. Nonetheless, before reaching the Elimination Round, it’s still best to avoid the Top 8 where possible. However, this isn’t something one can decide, so we can only leave our fate in the Heavens’ hands.

3308L: Climbing up to see this tower today, I still thought I entered the wrong place…… Weren’t we still talking about how to snatch the dragon ytd?

3309L: Emmm…… Upstairs, don’t you see how hard everyone’s working to avoid this question?

3310L: Ah? Why are they avoiding it?

3311L: Er, after today’s livestream, does anyone still think it’s possible to snatch PG’s dragon?

3312L: Don’t think about it anymore. Go wash your face and sleep ba.

3313L: Speaking of snatching dragons, I actually think it’s possible to snatch, huan! Who said snatching the dragon must be done behind PG’s backs? It’s totally possible to lie in wait while PG’s battling, then, when it’s just about time, show up to finish off the Demonic Dragon! How about that? Ain’t I very smart?

3314L: Smart to no ends…… Excuse me, may I ask which team of brave warriors Upstairs is from?

3315L: Heheh. Just wait till I really snatch the dragon, then I’ll come back to tell you!

Reading up to this point, Jing Yu can’t help raising his brows – What exactly gave this person the impression no one from PG is following this tower?

Nevertheless, even if none of them are following this tower, it’s only normal to scout the surrounding bushes once before snatching the Demonic Dragon ba? Jing Yu doubts he’ll ever make such an obvious mistake.

Over the course of the Preliminaries in the next few days, PG grows increasingly OP with every match. Almost every match was a flawless thrashing, totally giving the enemies zero chance to retaliate.

Even if it is the Jing Yu fanboy, Halfling, he is also bored of commentating. He wants nothing more than for PG to immediately enter the Qualifiers and exchange swords with the stronger teams – Only when the enemy has levelled up, can they properly exhibit PG’s greatness! Especially Goldfish, this new Jungler’s greatness.

With that said, the last few days of the Preliminaries also can’t be said to be without any merit. The most noteworthy portion is probably the team who dared to use Moonshadow Spider against SOS, hoping to win a 1v3 with low HP. In the end, from start to finish, they were pressed on the ground and completely grinded in by SOS, losing with the horrifying score of 0 : 27.

Besides them, there were also two teams of veggie chickens pecking at each other. One used Frozen Heart, whereas the other used Moonshadow Spider. In the end, the score that surfaced was 16 : 18. Every head collected belonged to these two jokers. Seeing this, even Halfling momentarily furrowed his brows and was unable to keep from roasting: 【These guys must be using a fake Frozen Heart and Moonshadow Spider.】

The barrage immediately replied: 【Nonono, Goldfish’s Frozen Heart and Moonshadow Spider are the real fake ones!】

In any case, before the weekend comes, PG passes through the Preliminaries with much success, smoothly advancing into the Qualifiers’ Category A.

What teams are there; what styles do they have; and what strategies should they use to combat them – These are all left to Fang Luofan and Xiaoyun. PG’s players gaily take a day off from training.

During this period of time, Ye Hong, Luo Yiming, and Han Leng are all heading home for a visit. Jing Yu, in contrast, stays behind at the clubhouse with Qin Fei.

Right before Ye Hong departs, he pulls Qin Fei off to the side to warn: “Don’t you dare bully Little Goldfish!”

Qin Fei scoffs: “Am I really that sort of person?”

Ye Hong: “Can’t say for sure. I’ve never seen you so fixated on one person before.”

Qin Fei: “En? Am I that obvious?”

Ye Hong: “Can you please gain some friggin’ awareness?!”

After delivering this warning, Ye Hong smilingly smooths the crown of Jing Yu’s head: “Be good and wait in the clubhouse for us to come back. If there’s anything, just give the Coach a call. He lives nearby. He can come anytime to save you.”

Jing Yu: “? ? ?”

His words cause Qin Fei, who’s standing off to the side, to give a scoff which he can’t hold back – If he really intends to do anything to Jing Yu, their Coach can hardly do a thing.

But with that said……

He looks at the side of Jing Yu’s face, knitting his brows together – This wolf in sheep’s clothing, I sure don’t have the strength to push him down. I can’t know for sure till I fight with him ne.

He has hardly forgotten that day when he woke up on the sofa, how he felt a bit of power restraining his wrist.

This little rascal, he’s trained before ba?

Jing Yu doesn’t notice the way Qin Fei is eyeing him. After sending Ye Hong off, he turns to look at Qin Fei. Only, seeing as if Qin Fei is still staring at him, he startles and hastily averts his gaze.

Qin Fei doesn’t mind it, venturing: “Let’s go out for lunch together?”

Jing Yu: “Okay.”

Qin Fei: “Once we’ve eaten, we’ll take a stroll nearby?”

Jing Yu: “Okay.”

Qin Fei: “I suddenly remembered. Marvel released a new movie again. Care to come with me to the theatres?”

Jing Yu: “Okay.”

“Tch—” Qin Fei really doesn’t understand. Why is Jing Yu always so docile when he is facing him alone? Where did that fierce and coquettish jungler from the match go?

Jing Yu hears that snicker, but not knowing what he’d done wrong, he raises his eyes a little anxiously to meet Qin Fei’s gaze. Before he’s capable of mustering a response, he’s patted over the head by Qin Fei: “Alright. Our plan for today is settled gaily just like this. You gonna go get your things?”

Jing Yu: “Okay.”

Just like that, Jing Yu’s itinerary for the day is decided.

When he’s heading upstairs to his room to get a change of clothes, Jing Yu can’t help the smile that flashes across his face – Is this what they call, having a world to yourselves?

Having gotten dressed up, just as he is about to step out of his door, he abruptly remembers something and pulls his phone out of his pocket. Clicking into QQ, he sends a message to a person with the ID, “Jiao Weiqing”.

Gold Fish not Salted Fish: I made it to the Qualifiers.

Not long after, he receives the reply:

Jiao Weiqing: Congratulations, keep up the good work! I will watch the livestream da~
