They enter the battlefield and the match formally begins!

In this round, the line-ups of both sides are as follows:

PG: Lilith, Black Serpent, Dark Cupid, Mandala Petals, Sariel

ANE: Death God, Peacock Plume, Camael, Centaur, Ariel

–There’re lots of demons appearing for the first time!

One can’t see the faintest shadow of a commentator on Halfling. He’s totally in fanboy mode: 【AAAAHHH! The match’s beginning! GOLDFISH, GOGOGO! MANDALA PETALS, GOGOGO! GOLDFISH! GOLDFISH!】

Candy’s in stitches by his side: 【Halfling! Wei, Halfling! Can you still commentate?】

【Uh-huh, somehow, I can still do it.】Right as both parties seize the Red and Blue Demons, Halfling successfully returns to commentating properly, 【Alright. We can now see that after both parties’ marksmen seize the red, they’re beginning to farm creeps and gold in the Bottom Lane. The Junglers on both sides have chosen to jungle first to level up.】

ANE’s Jungler is Centaur. In the first half, his HP is way too low and he doesn’t have an Ult. Naturally, he’ll choose to jungle before ganking.

But what about PG’s Mandala Petals? As if knowing Centaur won’t cause trouble for time being, she’s jungling to her heart’s content in her family’s Jungle. Relying the fast cooldown time of her Teleport, she zooms to-and-fro in the vicinity, unbelievably losing only a thin skin of blood after killing all monsters!

Halfling: 【Just by looking at her jungling speed, anyone can tell Goldfish’s Mandala Petals isn’t the same demon I was using!】

Candy: 【Pft – hahaha! Halfling, that’s really enough outta you! Pull yourself together!】

Halfling: 【I’m serious, alright? Look at the barrage – You see?! They all agree with me!】

Candy’s caught between tears and laughter: 【Alright. You guys win.】

During their conversation, Goldfish’s Mandala Petals uses a single Teleport and turns into a single purple blossom that floats into the Mid Lane’s bushes.

Halfling immediately reacts: 【Is she intending to gank the mid-laner?!】

At this point, Mandala Petals has unlocked all abilities save for her Ult. She quietly lays in ambush within the bushes for a while. The moment her Teleport refreshes, she swiftly uses it and floats right over and onto the enemy Peacock Plume!

Peacock Plume’s reflexes are quick. She smoothly forks out Flash and shoots towards her own family’s turret.

Nevertheless, Mandala Petals doesn’t have the slightest intention of letting her slip. She pulls out her 1st ability in the direction where she’s headed to – Flora Strike, an attack with flowers darts, snipes Peacock Plume right in the back!

Peacock Plume doesn’t tolerate this attack. She swings her arm and retaliates with a Slo-mo, but Mandala Petals neither dodges nor hides, stubbornly taking this attack.

Simultaneously, the darkened 3rd ability on Jing Yu’s screen suddenly lights up. Jing Yu doesn’t miss a beat and quickly punches down the key – Invisibility!

While Mandala Petals becomes translucent on the live stream, from Peacock Plume’s perspective, Mandala Petals has simply vanished into thin air.

Jing Yu: “Ye Ge, Flash and CC!”

Ye Hong: “Can’t ask for anything better!”

Black Serpent Flashes into the turret in one go, using his 2nd ability and 1st ability consecutively. Water Tornado throws Peacock Plume high into the air during its attack, before he uses Serpent Dragon Tail Whip to haul her over to himself.

Following closely, Mandala Petals strikes with an AA while still under Invisibility. In a flash, its doubled damage leaves Peacock Plume with just a skin of blood.

Jing Yu: “Leave the turret!”

Ye Hong: “En?!”

Peacock Plume hasn’t died, but Mandala Petals has already long since blazed away. Though Ye Hong thinks it’s quite odd, he trusts Jing Yu’s words and swiftly turns away to kill the creeps.

In the next second, two lines of system prompts glide past the screen:

【System】Mandala Petals, First Kill!

【System】The enemy Peacock Plume has been slain!

【The First Blood is made!】Candy only realizes something’s off after she screams those words, 【Uh, how did Peacock Plume die? Please replay it to that scene!】

The image on the livestream swiftly replays to that split instant just now – After Mandala Petals left, Peacock Plume swiftly dashes to her family’s Stronghold. However, her blood slides down at a terrifying pace. Even if one uses a Heal, she would still be unsalvageable. In the end, she died mid-way between the first and second turret.

【The pace at which her health fell is way too frightening! Please give us Peacock Plume’s FoV!】Having said this, Halfling sees the livestream change FoV. Alas, he finally picks out the answer from Peacock Plume’s status, 【It’s poison! There’re six layers of toxic Poison Stack!】

Candy: 【My God! How did the six layers come about?!】

With this, it no longer suffices just to replay the split instant Peacock Plume died. They’ve got no choice but to replay the entire process where Mandala Petals ganked her:

The 2nd ability, Gliding Blossoms – The 1st layer of Poison Stack!

The 1st ability, Flora Strike – The 2nd layer of Poison Stack!

After being attacked, the passive skill Flower Fury struck – The 3rd layer of Poison Stack!

She unlocked Invisibility while the three layers of Poison Stack were still active. Attacking the enemy demon while under Invisibility doubles the damage and toxicity – Hence the 4th, 5th, and 6th layer of Poison Stack!

Just like that, Peacock Plume was utterly and completely poisoned to death.

After running through this entire process, Halfling can’t help exclaiming in shock as Candy has done: 【Heavens! Is this how Mandala Petals should really be played?!】

This whole process seems easy; One just has to stack up the poison. However, Poison Stack has a time-limit. Compared to the time allowed to stack the 2nd layer, the time allowed to stack the 3rd layer is shorter.

For most people who use Mandala Petals, stacking up to the 2nd layer is their limit. Oftentimes, by the time they want to stack up to the 3rd layer, the poison on the enemy demon has already vanished, forcing one to only restart from the 1st layer.

As for stacking up to the 6th layer – That’s simply impossible!

But Jing Yu has done it!

He intentionally tanked Peacock Plume’s Slo-mo to passively stack the poison to the 3rd layer. Then, he attacked under Invisibility, causing the poison on Peacock Plume to double!

He naturally doesn’t have to look back as he goes ah – It’s 6 layers of Poison Stack! For a squishy like Peacock Plume, even just dropping to a third of her blood is enough to make one’s blood run cold, need you even mention being left with a skin of blood?!

Countless 【66666】shoots past the screen of the livestream. Halfling also can’t hide how moved he is: 【I remember PG’s Coach, Luofan, once said in a previous match: Goldfish, this player, has extremely strong tactical ability. I didn’t think much of it before, but today, I finally realize what he meant!】

Halfling: 【That’s because I myself also use Mandala Petals. Therefore, I know very well how hard it is to stack up to three layers of Poison Stack. In the past, I’ve tried taking the enemy’s attacks then using the 2nd and 1st ability consecutively, but the enemy simply wouldn’t stop at one blow. Oftentimes, they’d fork out a combo-attack and swiftly kill me. Even if they didn’t do so, they’d still be on their guard and dodge my Teleport.】

Candy: 【Looking at how Mandala Petals attacked after Invisibility came into effect, the 3 layers of Poison Stack aren’t merely a coincidence. Goldfish truly plotted that!】

Halfling: 【Of course he did! Otherwise, he also wouldn’t have turned his back and left right when Peacock Plume is at low HP – Hahaha! I just remembered a phrase ‘cause of that: Cool guys don’t look at explosions!】

Forget about the commentators and barrage. Even Jing Yu’s teammates are also wowed by Jing Yu’s fine play and ready to kow-tow to him:

Ye Hong: “Fuck this bullshit! This is awesome!”

Jing Yu: “Nh? So you had such a kink?”

Ye Hong: “……”

Luo Yiming: “HAHAHAHA! Jing Yu’s level of sass is seriously able to rival his play!”

Han Leng: “The dirtier he plays, the more he sasses?”

Ye Hong’s caught between tears and laughter: “Even so, you shouldn’t shoot your ally by accident!”

Jing Yu: “I will keep that in mind~” : )

Everyone knows Jing Yu played dirty, but only Qin Fei is able to identify his technique: “Six layers of Poison. That’s amazing.”

Jing Yu can’t help but grin: “I got found out by you.”

Qin Fei: “So this is the thing you mentioned before – Using your head to play?”

Jing Yu: “Yup~ Relative to Frozen Heart, that is.”

Frozen Heart purely relies on one’s skills. Should his player be lacking, he will only become a suicidal flower vase. In comparison, Mandala Petals stands a higher chance of survival but due to her AD falling short of Frozen Heart, in order to kill the enemy in one-go, Jing Yu has no choice but to plan thoroughly ahead on how to maximise the damage.

Qin Fei: “But if we’re taking Moonshadow Spider as comparison?”

Jing Yu: “Moonshadow Spider ah…… After I created her combo-attack, it’s just mindless keyboard-smashing. Come to think of it, Moonshadow Spider’s the most reckless of my demons; her survival rate is even lower than Frozen Heart’s.”

Moonshadow Spider’s combo-attack, a move which poses as a splitting headache to all other teams, becomes nothing more than “mindless keyboard-smashing” when she lands in Jing Yu’s hands.

Who knows what the other teams would think if they hear this?

Qin Fei can’t help a chuckle – To pick you out from the vast sea of people, it truly is my fortune.

On ANE’s side, if you say they are still tethering on the verge of collapse after last round’s defeat, in this match, every member seriously crashes and burns near the latter half.

5 minutes into the game, Mandala Petals overwhelmingly crashes in on the team battle at the Bottom Lane. After stacking three layers of poison on Camael and attacking under Invisibility to double the poison, she doesn’t even turn to cast him a glance. Mandala Petals teleports over to the fleeing Centaur and tosses her 1st ability, swiftly Ulting!

Mandala Petals’s Ult – Flower Torrent Burial is highly lauded as the apex of 《Demon Lord》 ‘s special effects.

On the display, the maiden with her long skirt of purple scatters into countless petals, instantly catching up to Centaur who’d Flashed to escape. Every petal is as piercing as daggers, engulfing him in their midst.

Centaur’s health plunges briskly all the way to the zero end. Mandala Petals coalesces back into human form over his body, unblinkingly Teleporting out of the turret!

【System】Mandala Petals, First Kill!

【System】The enemy Camael has been slain!

【System】Mandala Petals, Double Kill!

【System】The enemy Centaur has been slain!

Everyone else’s first reaction upon seeing Camael and Centaur: ANE’s damage in the latter half is gonna overturn the Heavens!

Jing Yu’s first reaction upon seeing Camael and Centaur: Oh, my sweet, cute little squishies, watch me pentakill and carry!

In the first 10 minutes of the match, Mandala Petals can be said to have stolen the whole show.

10 minutes later, the first Team Battle involving everyone erupts down at the Mid Lane. Lilith double-kills, Dark Cupid triple-kills. ANE’s pelted by the onslaught of their attacks to the point where they can’t even lift a hand to retaliate!

In comparison, Mandala Petals didn’t make much of an impression with her strength. Still, as a Goldfish fanboy, Halfling naturally boasts Goldfish’s performance in the Team Battle to high heavens:

【All of ANE’s members have been poisoned by Mandala Petals, so their HP is dropping quickly! Mandala Petals usually Ults to assassinate, but in this battle, Goldfish Ults right off the bat to open Team, dealing a grave hit to ANE’s HP! And what a far-sighted decision that was! PG definitely couldn’t have gotten a 0 for 5 without Mandala Petals!】

He’s heaping the praises so high up……Candy can’t stand listening anymore: 【Qin Fei’s Lilith is truly domineering! Though he’s at low HP, he doesn’t retreat but instead pushes on! Here, he Ults to ambush, and tower-dives to gank! Dark Cupid lunges close-range to attack Camael!】

Halfling: 【ANE is aced! PG begins to conquer the dragon. Indeed, when battling with a first-half-specializing team like PG, you can’t choose a line-up that hinges too much on the second half!】

ANE’s present line-up is indeed reliant on the second half. But with all that said… Do you think this is what they wanted?!

The solo-laner and jungler were all banned cleanly by PG, and in addition to Mandala Petals’ performance which is beyond all expectations……

HI has lost all will to live: “Let’s study Frozen Heart more thoroughly when we’re done here.”

Fly has lost all will to live +1: “We’re sorry. We won’t ban Frozen Heart anymore.”

******

Mara: I can hear their spirit and heart breaking… But I’m not sorry, everyone, bow to the Toxic Mandala Petals!

Tamago: I wonder what the other Top 8 are thinking as they watch this? “A bunch of veggie chickens are pecking at each other”?
