Taking on this case and succeeding would bring great achievement for them personally and for the company. On the other hand, failure would have significant negative effects as well.

It was normal for Matthiasson, just a designer, not to have the final say in such matters.

Soon, Matthiasson called back and solemnly promised Yigol Novak in person.

The collaboration was agreed upon amicably.

Afterward, Yigol and Matthiasson signed the contract, and Yigol left with Suri Drew without even a proper farewell.

After returning to the lobby with Suri, Yigol even refunded the money they had previously paid.

Even though playful banter was harmless, the last thing they should have done was to say those words in such a situation. It wasn’t petty, but it couldn’t be ignored either.

Matthiasson had already given his guarantee to Yigol. Yigol wasn’t worried that Matthiasson’s people would cause any trouble. If Matthiasson wanted to gamble the Earl’s reputation or his own future to vent his displeasure, that would be his choice.

Yigol wasn’t a pushover. If he was mistreated, he would strive to recover the losses.

In the car, Suri asked curiously, “Honey, I’ve been wanting to ask you, do you really understand their language?”

Yigol replied while driving, “Yeah, don’t you believe in your husband?”

“No, it’s just that I was too surprised. Such things should be commonplace, but I didn’t expect you to encounter it. I even suspect that you only learned some sarcastic phrases, and that’s why you understood what that person said,” Suri responded.

“Why have you become so muddle-headed without even being pregnant?” Yigol looked back at her: “If you’re like this without being pregnant, what would happen when you actually are?”

“You, say that again?” Suri glared at Yigol.

Yigol knew precisely how to provoke Suri. With just one sentence, he managed to ignite her anger, then nonchalantly said, “Wife, don’t move, or we might both end up on the way to the underworld before even having our wedding night. ”

“I’m driving right now!”

“Okay, okay, you are so capable. Just wait for it,” Suri was furious but couldn’t do anything to Yigol. At least she had that much sense.

But she secretly made a mental note against him.

“Honey, don’t be like that. I didn’t mean to offend you. How could I have only learned some sarcastic phrases? You should know that I have a very righteous sense of morality, right?”

“So you’re saying that when I said you were a bit silly, I was correct?” Suri said seriously.

Suri couldn’t refute Yigol’s words. Not to mention that Yigol wasn’t the type to learn only sarcastic phrases, even if he did, it wouldn’t happen to be what that person said today.

Moreover, Yigol was such a calm person, something like this really wouldn’t happen to him.

After a moment of silence, Suri continued, “Then, how did you learn their language? And also, the person didn’t even use internationally recognized terms.”

Yigol gave Suri a proud look, “Ah, my wife has discovered another talent of mine. Although my grades aren’t very good, I am actually quite interested in languages from different countries, so I learned a little bit of them all. There’s no helping it; your husband is just that smart.”

Suri was annoyed, “Can’t you just speak properly?”

“Alright, alright, my wife. It’s just that I’m a stock trader, right? I had already found languages interesting, and then because of stock trading, I had another reason to study them thoroughly. That way, I can use them when trading stocks. I probably studied around forty or fifty different languages,” Yigol explained.

Forty or fifty languages?

Suri’s first reaction was to scoff, “Do you really think you’re some kind of genius? You’re just exaggerating; I don’t believe you.”

Being able to speak over ten languages was already a remarkable feat, but forty or fifty? Could that even be possible for a normal person?

Anyone, hearing such words, would not believe them.

Yigol gave a bitter smile and clutched his chest, “Ah, how difficult my life is. My wife doesn’t even have this much trust in me. I spoke so sincerely, yet she doesn’t believe me.”

Suri just rolled her eyes, thinking he was being overly dramatic.

Yigol continued, “Later, when the opportunity arises, you’ll gradually get to see just how amazing your husband is. Now, even if I spoke to you in those languages, since you wouldn’t understand, you still wouldn’t believe me.”

“I may not be gifted when it comes to schoolwork, but I’m quite talented in learning languages.”

These words ignited a competitive spirit within Suri, prompting her to speak a foreign language she knew. To her surprise, Yigol replied fluently with better intonation than she had.

If it weren’t for his Fieston Country face, Suri would’ve thought Yigol was a foreigner.

Still not convinced, Suri tried another difficult language. Though her grasp of it wasn’t perfect, she had learned enough to understand simple phrases.

Just like before, Yigol responded smoothly and even corrected Suri’s accent and grammar mistakes.

Suri wasn’t disbelieving now; she was astonished.

Could everything Yigol said be true?

Still, she thought it was inconceivable for someone to know forty or fifty languages. Yigol was young, and even with outstanding talent, he would still need time to learn them all.

Some people considered learning one new language per year impressive, but according to Yigol, he could learn over ten in a year?

If that were true, wouldn’t he be some sort of linguistic genius?

“Honey, are you sure you went to a third-rate university?” Suri asked incredulously.

Yigol nodded, ‘You can’t measure me by my education.

Though Yigol spoke confidently, Suri struggled to tease him. He was right; he truly was a gifted individual. He could cook well without any formal training, had a knack for stock trading, and now, Suri had discovered his new skill—languages.

She wasn’t sure whether he could speak forty or fifty languages, but the fact that he could fluently converse in a few that she barely understood was already very impressive.

“So, are you still human, my little husband?” Suri joked.

Yigol looked back at her and smiled.

Though Suri’s comment was meant in jest, Yigol’s smile left her with a sudden, dangerous feeling..
