*DROPS* Chara... fell to the ground... after she jumped at us. It looks like she already collapsed before she can even reach us. Her form got canceled too.
After they healed me to be able to walk, we checked at her as soon as possible. She's pretty much alive and well. Chara did great for saving us. All of them really did great.
"Huh?! Wait!" Oh, god... I wasn't paying too much attention to my sister. She lost consciousness after getting stabbed but she woke up all of a sudden! I think she saw my face!
"Is... is that you, bro?!" I can't really dodge her question anymore this time.
"Let me explain, Mari. It's not what you think." I decided to tell her the truth but I know I'm not in the position to explain.
"You are Scythus, the one who killed lots of my guildmates, the one who wrecked our guild, the one who joined Jay to fight our guild..." No need to tell all the details...
"Well, it looks like it's really what you think..."
"But you are also the one who tried to save our guild when an army of undead tried to take over our guild, you're even here trying to stop the madness of Vulkhan and Daimond and... you are my brother."
"Wait... did you already know?" I think... she already knows that I'm Scythus. She walked towards me and held my arms...
"Of course, I already knew from the start. I just can't believe you lied to me the whole time but I know that you only did that because you don't want to make me hate you but you are my brother, I will never hate you." Aww... aww... stop squishing my wounds... it really hurts...
"Aha...ha... and I love you too, Mari," Finally, she let go of my arms. That was scary...
"But seriously, what were you thinking? Why did you suddenly popped out of nowhere in the middle of the city? You even knocked me out. So cruel." I guess she's not happy about it either, still pouting.
I explained to her what happened and then she believed every word I said. I also asked her if she knows about their guild leader's plan but she's as clueless as we are and I thought I could get clues from her. It looks like the only way to settle this is to go to the old man himself and ask him directly.
"Sir Maximus is currently at the castle. He said that no matter what happens, he will wait there, win or lose. I'm not sure what for but I think he's expecting you guys." Mari informed us.
"Ugh... what happened?" Chara woke up in the corner with the others.
"Wait... I'm late. So, is it done?" Aurora also appeared.
I explained what happened to both Chara and Aurora and it seems that Chara was shocked by what happened but she eventually decided to come with us.
Now, I'm with Aurora, Zia, Osia, Drake, Mari, and Chara. We all want some answers.
-Order of Light Castle-
We reached the castle in no time while the remaining guards just let us through because of Mari.
"You need to go now, Scy, before the others show up. I will stay here." Drake said and he's right. If Zeth shows up, then there will be another pain in the butt.
"Thanks, Drake. I'll see you later." I think Drake already know what we need but I don't think he will just tell it to us if it's really that important and he could have told us himself.
After we entered the castle, he is already sitting on one of the chairs beside the castle like he's really waiting for us.
"Old man, it's time for you tell him the truth." Aurora... you also knew.
"No need to be hasty, Aurora. He will eventually discover what I was really doing for all of you." The old geezer stood up.
"Then let us understand. Why are you doing this? Jay... jay even chose to take your side than me, me who's been with him from the start." Chara upset and I can tell that she's troubled. Wait, Jay did that?! I will give him a good beating later!
"You might think that all I did was make you all fight each other or cause a pointless war but what I'm doing is for your own good. The first time I met you, Reaper, I thought to myself, can he really do it? That time, I was doubtful of your abilities but even after all you've been through, even if everyone thinks that you're the bad guy, you still have these friends that helped you when I thought that you were all alone..."
"What the hell are you talking about?! You don't make any sense!" I shouted with anger... for some reason, what he's saying makes me really uneasy...
"I thought God will make us all suffer at the end, but then he saved you, our savior. Everything will die and disappear, but you won't. Find yourself, you will know everything... now, she will be in your hands now." After he said that... his avatar just perished like he wasn't even been there. What just happened?!
"Wait! What do you mean?!" I know that he's already not here anymore but all he said only leads me to more questions...
"Wait, there are gems on the floor." Zia found something below where the old geezer disappeared.
"These are monster soul gems. This one is from the Frozen King and this one is... the old man's monster soul." Aurora explained. The Frozen King's monster soul is explainable but why on earth did he leave his monster soul too.
"For now, there's no need for us to stay here. Let's get out of here and go back to our guild." I said and then we moved out after that while Drake and Mari of course, didn't come with us.
-Life Guild-
We met Elou and the others while we're on our way to the guild. I heard about what happened and too bad that we lost few of our members but it's war, losses will occur eventually.
"Woah! This place is in a mess! Can you really still prepare food for us with all this mess?" Aurora asked while looking happy that we can take a break.
"Don't worry, I will cook for all of you." Emily! She's safe and thankfully. can cook for us.
"If it isn't Miss Emily! I miss your food! Please give me meat!" Zia is excited as well.
"What do you mean meat?! You will eat fruit instead." Aurora replied to Zia,
"But Sis!..." It looks like the party's going to start soon.
We celebrated for a bit but we're all tired and hungry in real life so it didn't last long. We weren't even able to wait for the others to respawn and we decided to log out.
-Aries' Home-
I woke up and my body aches and I'm hungry as hell. I think I didn't eat for the whole day. I need to eat first then clean myself. I rushed to the bathroom as I'm in pain...
I went down to find some food and I found the girls instead. Azzie is watching TV and Mari is preparing for dinner. The first thing that caught my sense of smell's attention was the food. It's intoxicating that I'm not sure if the taste will be good or bad but from the past experience, I hope I'm wrong.
"Good evening, Mari and Azzie. What's for dinner?" I asked trying to lighten up the mood.
"Hmp!" And Azzie greeted me with a pout while sitting on the couch and hugging both of her legs. Then I realized why she's mad at me... I'm sure she also knows that I'm Scy in-game.
"I told you not to be mad at him, Azzie. Let's just eat and have fun, ok?" Mari said while pouring the food into bowls and putting in on the table.
"Ok... hmp." Azzie just stood up and sat on the kitchen table while still in a bad mood. Why is she acting like she's my sister?
Hmmm... the food is not the only smell that caught my attention. Azzie's smell is so nice too, for some reason.
I looked at the food and it looks fine... but I can never be sure unless I taste it.
"Ok, let's eat!" Mari happily showed a cheerful smile but before we can even put the food in our mouth...
*RIIIING RIIIING* The phone rang and so Mari took it. I'm sure it's not for me because I'm never been out lately and I haven't given our home number to anyone.
She stayed for a bit on the phone but her expression suddenly changed and somehow... she cried out of nowhere! She sat on the floor sobbing... what the hell happened?!
"What's wrong?!" I panicked. Both Azzie and I rushed to check if she's ok.
"Sir Maximus is... he's dead."
