The meeting has ended after they talked about other stuff related to real life stuff which I don't have any concern with. They only made me go there as a formality which I can tell that they don't want me going against their plan. I'm known to be reckless anyway.
"Hey, Aries! I can tell that you were surprised at seeing me here earlier. You look like you need some fresh air. How about we-"
"Not today, Jay. I have plans with my guild remember and I don't think we have the luxury to waste time now. I'll see you in the game." I stopped Jay for inviting me. I can say that he's a bit guilty after changing sides while we're at war but there are more important things to do other than talk about stuff.
"Aries, can I talk to you for a moment?" It's Dad.
"Dad, you were not at the meeting earlier." I said.
"Before you wake up, I already briefed them on what they should do. Don't worry. They are all with us. I guarantee that. For now, eat well and get some exercise. You look really tired. Not getting any headaches or nightmares lately?" He asked curiously.
"Not really. I guess being with you guys made me feel better. I just hope that we there will be no problems anymore and we can go back where we used to live." It's been so long since I have a proper talk with him. I don't even remember the last time.
"I know. I would love the same but for now, let's try our best because the future of the people is in our hands. You might have a lot of questions but you'll soon know everything... just at the right time." At the right time, he said... I hope it's not too late...
Kitchen
After that meeting, I decided to go to the kitchen to search something to eat.
"Bro! Finally, you're here! I made some food for you! Mom helped me." Mari showed up with mom and I can see that the food looks normal. If I remember it correctly, mom doesn't cook at all. I don't think she even knows how to...
"Here, don't worry. I watched a cooking show earlier and we made it perfectly." Mom excitedly said. I hope there's no murder scene in that cooking show.
"Wow, it does seem like it was made from a TV show!" I said and yeah, I wasn't kidding at all. There are meat and veggies in it and some sauce. The smell of it makes my stomach growl.
"Well, to be honest, Mom did all the cooking. I was just here for moral support. Teehee!" Yeah, I can tell, sis.
"Don't be like that. You pretty much helped me a lot. Now go on. Have a taste." Mom used the spoon and now starting to feed me like a baby...
"Jeez, I can do it myself- Fine..." After mom made an angry face... I can't help but to just go on with it.
"Oh, that tasted so good!" I grabbed the spoon and ate all of it...
"Jeez... now you're eating like an animal. Thankfully, mom has a rare talent that she can just do exactly what she sees which is the opposite of me. She did cook like a pro earlier." Sis said. I didn't know about that. She rarely does anything before and always inside her lab. Talent huh... like Zia.
"Well, thanks for the meals guys. I need to go back and play the game now. See you guys again later." I said and we said our goodbyes.
Secret Lab
Woah! After that wonderful meal, I said my thanks for both of them and decided to do some exercise. I'm not sure where's the gym or if ever they have one. All I know is I have to rush or my guildmates will yell at me for being late again.
I opened every door in this big building and I've been here for not sure how long but I still don't know where is where.
Oh, this door looks solid. This is way secured than other rooms. I don't think I should be here at all. There's even an eye scanner on it.
"Hey! What are you doing here?" Azzie showed up...
"I'm looking for the gym. I don't think I've been to this place. I guess I'm lost." I replied.
"It's fine. I used to get lost here as well. This room is for only Mr. Kim. He's the only one allowed to come in. The gym is just next to the kitchen. Jeez. Come, let me show you." She said and so we left the place.
Other Side Guild Hall
After all that, I decided to go back to the game.
"It looks like everyone is here. except for Glev. Where the hell is the guy?" Elou asked.
"He'll come soon. He's been always like that." Leion answered. He's the team leader of Team Elou so he is taking responsibility.
"Yow! Sorry, traffic again." That's like, the lamest excuse...
"Good, everyone's here. So, I'm sure everyone is clueless why we're doing another adventure considering we already failed once against those monstrous guys." I guess it's time for them to know what we're facing.
"Yeah, our members are asking a lot lately. So far, all we did was waste time and levels after that first one. Not saying it's not good but we could have prepared a bit better." Elou's got a point, but for me, it was really important that time.
"I know, to be honest, that was a misjudge on my part. I wasn't expecting that we'll face stronger opponents than us. So... this time, I heard that those people we meet on the island will come to the mainland and I don't think we'll be able to win against them with what we have right now. So, this training will not be just a regular one if we want to win against them." I explained.
"So what are you suggesting, Scy?" Akko asked. She's worried I can tell but I guess we're not just familiar with our opponents that's why we lost, or we're just too weak for them.
"Well, I heard there's a Legendary Boss at the Swamplands. The team who finds it first will have a good reward from our Guild Hall's Treasury. The first who lands the last hit would get the soul, of course." I explained.
"Isn't that a little bit unfair for the other members who don't specialize in offensive attacks and spells?" Elou asked.
"Well, they can always focus on offensive spells rather than supporting reckless people like I am... I mean was... Anyway, let's prepare. Don't forget that if you die here, you'll respawn in our guild hall so try not to die. Our goal for this training is for all of us to survive until the end." I hope we're all ready for this.
"Don't worry guys. I will protect everyone!" Chara excitedly said.
"Yeah, and as long as we're all together, we can do this." Zia's enthusiastic as well.
"Don't be so sure about that. After we tried once, we decided to not continue because we got wiped out instantly without even going further." Someone's eavesdropping.
"Yeah, Jay. You already warned us about it and we'll take care of ourselves. You guys train as well." I replied to Jay.
"You guys take care as well. Take care of Chara for me. She's still our friend. Life Guild, clean the Swampland for me." I can tell he wants to come but he can't leave because of his responsibilities.
"You don't have to tell me that because that's our plan from the start. Let's have some Legendary Boss for breakfast!"
