What is that black lizard?

Appearing suddenly, spouting whatever it pleases.

And then, just because it’s disappointed, it says die?

What is that black lizard?

Don’t joke with me.

What does it think my life is?

Don’t joke with me, don’t joke with me… don’t joke with me!

The black dragon, an embodiment of absurdity, struck Emmy with a death blow, a terminal point in her life.

But what flitted through Emmy’s heart in the face of this was not despair.

Not regret, not sorrow.

Not joy or pleasure, obviously.

It was anger.

Her heart was filled with nothing but rage.

Rage against the absurdity of the black dragon.

Rage against her fate, which forced such an unreasonable life upon her.

Rage against her own weakness.

“Just die,” said the black dragon with a simple phrase, swinging its claw down at Emmy.

Emmy is angry.

Anger fuels her, igniting a murderous intent.

The trivial humans, the merciless magical creatures, and her own frustrating life!

All the resentment that had been accumulating in her small heart was now overflowing!

“Shut up! You die!”

The moment she screamed, the black dragon’s claw came crashing down!

She avoided it again with a sudden **Locust Leap**!

She leaped, landed, and then braced for the wind pressure and shockwave caused by the dragon’s claw strike!

She endured it!

She strengthened the ground she stood on as much as possible with **Solidification** and clung to it on all fours with **Adhesion**.

And how would she deal with the shockwave?

Directly receiving it would tear her strengthened body to shreds.

But she had already mastered the technique to soften and divert it: magical transformation.

Using her whole body, she continuously diverted the shockwave assaulting her with magical transformation!

She resisted the absurdity with the technique bestowed upon her by her revered master!

Had there been an observer of this bizarre spectacle, they would have been puzzled.

Amidst everything being blown away, only the area around the girl, crouched like a beast, remained calm, like the eye of a typhoon.

If asked to repeat this conscious effort, Emmy currently wouldn’t be able to do it.

It was an instinctive evasion in a life-threatening situation, a burst of adrenaline that allowed her to endure the shockwave. But she was quick to act next.

She leaped again, landing on the black dragon’s right arm, which was still on the ground.

Then she ran!

Using **Silverfish**, she sprinted up the dragon’s vertically standing right arm at full speed!

“Ooooh!?”

The black dragon finally noticed what was happening.

“Hahaha! Are you finally motivated? Good, good!!”

Laughing heartily, the dragon slapped its right arm with its left in an attempt to knock Emmy off.

However, due to the immense size difference, the dragon’s arm couldn’t accurately catch her.

“Then, how about this!?”

Suddenly, numerous scales on the dragon’s arm rose, revealing cannon-like structures.

These were the dragon’s “sweat glands.” Despite its lizard-like appearance, the black dragon was not a reptile. It could sweat and even use this sweat as a projectile weapon.

Despite having climbed up to the dragon’s elbow, Emmy was now facing water cannons powerful enough to pierce rocks!

But Emmy didn’t stop!

She ducked and tilted her body to avoid the dragon’s sweat while continuing her climb.

The dragon couldn’t freely control the direction of its sweat attack, making it ineffective against Emmy!

“Hahahaha! Wonderful! My eyes did not deceive me!”

Already over the dragon’s shoulder, Emmy began to climb its long neck.

The dragon laughed with genuine pleasure, moving its head right and left to shake her off.

But Emmy clung to the dragon’s neck, climbing as if gravity didn’t exist, displaying her prodigious physical and magical skills in a state of hyper-focus!

Avoiding the continuous sweat attacks, she finally reached the dragon’s face.

The goal was near.

But where was the goal?

It was the golden star shining brilliantly amidst the night-like black body – the dragon’s eye!

From the beginning, Emmy realized that her attacks couldn’t penetrate the dragon’s scales.

But the eye, the unprotected golden sphere, should be vulnerable.

She bet on that possibility.

Now at the dragon’s right cheek, her target was right in front of her!

As she sprinted up, Emmy charged her right arm with magic for a **Magical Attack**, her entire being in one strike.

She didn’t think about what would come after.

There was no room for such luxury against this opponent.

She concentrated almost all her immense magical power, extraordinary even by human standards, into her right arm.

The air creaked.

Her right arm screamed in protest.

But Emmy didn’t care.

She closed the distance to the dragon’s eye in an instant.

“Oooooh

!? What? What!?”

The dragon, surprised, widened its eyes, seeing Emmy rushing towards its eye.

Convenient. Don’t close them now.

With all the momentum from her climb, Emmy thrust her small right fist, her entire strength, her rage, against the dragon’s eye!

Her fist was her anger.

Breaking through the absurd, moving forward!

Her very essence!

Thud… BOOOOOOOOM!!!

Emmy’s fist struck the dragon’s eye, and a moment later, a thunderous sound echoed around.

The impact lifted the dragon’s face, making it recoil.

What happened to Emmy?

She had almost no magic left in her body.

She had poured everything into that one strike.

Maintaining **Silverfish** was now impossible.

She staggered, let go of the dragon’s scales, and fell straight to the ground.

What happened to the black dragon?

What happened to its golden eye, struck with Emmy’s full force?

Let’s get to the conclusion.

It was unharmed.
