"So this man pickpocketed you? For what reason?" Rong Xin asked curiously.
"Maybe they were looking for money...?" Mo Sheng said simply but neither he nor Rong Xin believed his own answer.
After pondering it for a second, Rong Xin then turned to Mo Sheng and then he frowned. "Even If they wanted money, why not just leave the young master in the elevator? There was no point in bringing him out."
This was logical reasoning but no one had an answer to why the stranger had done what he had done. Looking at Kang Jun, Lu AnLing examined him and thought to herself.
This was planned... obviously, but why?
Thinking about it, Lu AnLing turned back to the screen and then she gazed upon the person in the video.
Looking at the person, Lu AnLing found something strange about the person's figure but she did not say a thing. This situation might have concerned her but truly, Kang Jun being brought to her room might have been a complete mistake. She knew that Kang Zhi had brought them in a room together but from what Kang Jun had told her about Kang Zhi, Lu AnLing was more or less sure that he did not set this up
Kang Liang, who sat calmly on the couch looked at everyone in the room.
"For now, let's give up on looking for a motive. Then real thing I wanted you guys to notice is that this man... it's not a man at all!" Kang Liang said with slight excitement.
Hearing this, Everyone turned to Kang Liang with even more confusion as Kang Liang then showed them another video.
The video was one of the exact same man going on another floor. This time, the man was walking down the hall but they were panting as if they had been running. They then turned down a hallway before they suddenly removed their baseball cap and then the person pulled their hair out of the back of their shirt, revealing shoulder length black hair.
The person was sweaty and their face was slightly twisted as if they had just experienced something horrible.
Pausing for a second, the woman leaned over her knees.
After a small moment, she unzipped her jacket revealing a tight black camisole which clung to her sweaty, skinny figure.
Watching this, Kang Liang smiled triumphantly and the he said proudly, "I knew it was a woman since the first time I saw her, no man could have such a beautiful figure!"
Hearing this, Mo Sheng rolled his eyes and he expected Lu AnLing to do the same but then, they suddenly heard Lu AnLing's voice.
"Anna..."
The girl in the video was unmistakeably Anna...
Lu AnLing had remembered when Kang Jun had read Anna's diary to her. She remembered that Anna had had to do something bad in which she was never able to forgive herself for...
'Was this it? Did Anna try to mess with Kang Jun?' Lu AnLing wondered.
Turning to look at Lu AnLing, Mo Sheng cocked his head, "Anna as in your Institute buddy, Anna?"
Hearing this, Lu AnLing looked to Mo Sheng and nodded.
Lu AnLing: "Her hair is slightly different but I'm sure that that's Anna..."
"Who is this Anna you're talking about?" Kang Liang asked, making their conversation more inclusive. "And what's this institute? Did you go to school together?"
As soon as he heard those invasive questions come out of Kang Liang's mouth, Kang Jun frowned towards his brother. The boy did not know how much those questions could hurt Lu AnLing but still, Kang Jun wanted to make sure that Lu AnLing no longer hurt...
Kang Liang noticed the deathly look which his brother had thrown his way, but he wasn't sure if he should back off because his curiosity was beginning to take over him.
Looking at Kang Liang, Lu AnLing just sighed. If she truly wanted to know the truth about what was going on, she would need to come clean.
Leaning against Kang Jun, Lu AnLing said, "It's okay darling."
Kang Jun looked at Lu AnLing warmly. Seeing this, Lu AnLing reciprocated the look. She did not feel as broken as she had been feeling lately. So remembering her time at the institution, and remembering Anna, did not hurt her as much as it would have before. Now, it was truly all in the past, so she could speak about it simply without wanting to cry.
Looking at Kang Liang, Lu AnLing took a deep breath. "Anna was a girl that I met at a recovery institution. She was like me... suicidal... all I know is that she was deeply in love with someone. And that someone was Kang Zhi..."
Hearing this, Kang Liang frowned he felt really bad that he had forced Lu AnLing to speak. Mostly having heard the word suicidal, but deep down, he also felt a great distaste. Anna's story reminded him a bit of Qiao Lan. Only because it sounded like this Anna girl was obsessed with Kang Zhi like Qiao Lan was but the man was mistaken.

A part of her wondered if she should even speak of this but in the end, the two people it concerned were dead... so she said, "I think Kang Zhi and Anna might have been having an affair... this is because Anna is Mingyu's birth mother and before you say anything, yes, we have proof."
Kang Liang touched his chin. Many thoughts swirled in his mind but only one, became much clearer due to what Lu AnLing had just said.
Kang Liang: "I guess that explains it..."
Hearing this, Lu AnLing cocked her head. Seeing this, Kang Liang began to look through the list of videos as he said, "There are many videos on this small stick... obviously... and they're all from, give or taken, the same day and I went through a lot of them... one of the videos I watched contained one of the most shocking things I've ever seen..."
Suddenly, Kang Liang played the video.
The video showed Anna crouched down by a door as she spoke to someone on her phone with tears in her eyes.
Moments later, a figure entered the frame. At first, most of them didn't kn0w who the person was since their back was facing the camera but then, the man then wrapped his arms around Anna tightly. The two exchanged a lovely embrace; full of passion and love and yet, Anna still seemed a bit reserved.
Suddenly, the man pulled away before he pulled Anna towards the elevator but Anna wouldn't allow it. She then said something to him before pulling him into the room in which she had been squarring in from.
Though, the people watching did not care much about the fact that Anna had pulled the man into the room, what they concentrated on in their minds was that, as soon as the man in the video had turned around, everyone was able to see the man's face.
It was Kang Zhi.
Seeing it, the eyes of everyone in the room began to widen with the exception of Lu AnLing and Kang Jun who had already assumed the circumstance. If Anna was truly at Hotel Helios all those years ago, there was no way that Anna would not meet with Kang Zhi.
Looking at them, Kang Liang laughed dryly. "Yea... I had that same reaction."
